HATE - July 25

August

Cathlete
Hello!

I'm starting up late. It seems everything I'm doing as of late is...late. LOL.

I cleaned up my apartment (much to the interest of Cham and Mooch), and then did Pilates Buns and Thighs. I think Cham may have been worried about me when I was swinging my leg back and forth. She came up to my face and meow meow meowed a bunch of times like, "Are you okay? What are you doing? Are you okay?" Mooch followed after to my face but wasn't as interested and only kind of looked at me and then walked away like "oh, it's not playtime? Whatever." LOL.

I had my apple pie smoothie and now I'm going to scrub my tub. A girl I sometimes work with but don't know super well really wanted to meet the squirrels, so I thought it might be nice to invite her to drop by when she was next in the area......and late last night she told me she'd like to come and bring a friend. http://planetsmilies.net/shocked-smiley-9483.gif

I guess that's cool erm, although this girl she's bringing is someone who wants to work with me and apparently has expressed great interest to get to know me (she's also half Japanese and in the same work field). Which is a very good, nice thing, of course - Mr Plant, Choco, Oogi and I can always use another human friend and all, though maybe for a first time a Frappucino at Starbucks is a little better than my bedroom/dining room/kitchen/laundry room LOL. Not complainin'. Just...throwing ideas out there LOL.

Well, anyway, at least their visit is inspiring me to clean my entire apartment LMAO.

All right. Scrub a tub tub.

BECKY - It's a darn good thing you stopped by. You know why?

BECAUSE IT'S YOUR BIRTHDAY!!!!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BECKY!!!!!

http://planetsmilies.net/party-smiley-557.gif

Your vacation sounded fantastic. And your anniversary equally so. Congratulations all around!

WTH is dirty rice?

JENNIFER - I'm glad to hear your family members are doing well. Here's to as quick a recovery as possible.

My guys aren't big enough to jump up on to the counter yet, and I have no chairs in my main room (LOL...I used to use my Fitness ball as my chair, but now the water fountain is occupying the space). But Cham really, really wants to balance on the window sill LOL. She'll jump up and wobble a little, and then make like it's really comfortable to sit on the narrow ledge for about 30 seconds before she gives up. I wish I could find that window sill sitting thing that Jen sent the link for. I'm sure she would love that. Maybe I'll try looking around some more.

SHELLEY - Hi there! How you feeling?

MICHELE - What on earth game did you play on Wii to give you Elbowitis? I hope it will get better soon because we miss you and your funny posts....Did you know Japan has some MEAN breaded pork? Okay. This is what I'll take you to eat when you come and visit Japan, since I know you won't eat the fish. http://planetsmilies.net/happy-smiley-44.gif

DANA - Hiya! So glad that we're both on track to doing something workoutish daily. Good for us! http://planetsmilies.net/happy-smiley-85.gif And that's nice that you were able to do some working out and also some good bouncy horse.

Poor Ralphie. Is he uncomfortable?

I was so excited, thrilled, amazed, bonkers even, to hear that you've finished your filing!

Here's your prize!!

Wine http://planetsmilies.net/eat-drink-smiley-5151.gif
Cheese http://bestsmileys.com/eating1/17.gif

And I'll even throw in a little

Bread http://planetsmilies.net/eat-drink-smiley-7848.gif
Makings for souvlakia http://planetsmilies.net/eat-drink-smiley-7849.gif

LOL.

DIANE - Hey, hope you're feeling better and that you got some good sleep. It was baby sickness stuff or like a cold sickness stuff? Anyway, feel better!

All right. Where's Jen. http://planetsmilies.net/angry-smiley-1375.gif

Okay, be well and have a great day!

Morning August!

Your little squirrels sounds just absolutely adorable! You're making me want a kitten. Except that Sadie would probably eat it.

How presumptuous of this person to sort of invite herself over AND then tell you she's bringing someone else. I don't think I'd be awfully comfy with that whole scenario. You need to train your kittens to attack on command. It could come in handy in situations like that.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BECKY!!!!

Hi everyone else! I must run. I don't wanna go to work today, especially since Sophie and my SO are both going to be at home. I wanna stay home and play too!

I hate this computer. I just was finishing up my post when I got the message about an error and the entire internet just closed out. Insert profanity here: #$%#@

So anyway,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BECKY!!!!!!! Doing anything special today???

Aug - some people are awfully nervy arent' they? There is no way that I could invite myself to someone's home that I barely knew and then bring a friend. Shelly is right on the money - put those kitties in attack mode! LOL

Ralphie isn't in any pain. He just looks down-right ugly with all his bald spots. My poor baby.

My entire workout of the day yesterday was just a 3-mile walk. 2 miles at lunch and then 1 mile with Ralphie last night. English Bulldogs aren't much for exercise so one-mile is his limit. LOL My in-laws stopped over last night so I thought it would've been awfully rude of me to excuse myself to workout. They stopped out to see the boys and brought me a big bag of redbeets and sugar peas from their garden. So tonight I will be cooking the beets and freezing the peas.

Shelley - I don't want to be at work either. Are Sophie and Chris doing anything fun today? I'm planning on taking off on Friday. Gabe and I are going to go out for breakfast and then to pick blueberries. He wants to go play miniature golf and I want to go to the lake for a walk. My MIL said she would keep Gannon. I feel guilty (and I know that I shouldn't) if I take either of the boys to daycare and I don't go to work.

Michele - how's the elbow today???????

Jen - how are you today?

Robin - you should not be checking in but in case your are, HI!!!

Jennifer - hi!!!

Diane - how are you feeling today?

OK, I must get started on my work. I'll try to check back after lunch.

Enjoy your day everyone! :p

Hello Haters.

Happy Birthday Becky!!

Just found out yesterday, my vacation got bumped to mid-September. By then, most of my house projects should be done. A neighbour offered me ALL of her Lillies of the Valley to plant on an extreme hill of mine that is part of my driveway and front yard, ground covering for the front has been an issue for a few years. Hostas didn't make it.
My sister is at home and is doing well (on vicadin). My Dad is being hard-headed (most of his issues come from that) but is getting into a normal routine.
So, for my vacation, I'm thinking roadtrip maybe an overnighter.
Shelley, how far are you from Sarnia? My neighbour is from Markham and I know lots of people in London, Hamilton areas. Where I grew up is across from Canada, Boblo Island.

Have a Great Day!

Good morning!!

My elbow is s-l-o-w-l-y getting better. I found this wonderful book (have I already mentioned it?) called "The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook" and I've been massaging my trigger points with a tennis ball. OMG, it really works!! It brings relief from the constant pain but you have to do it several times a day. I think it's normal to have this kind of pain for a few weeks. Anyway, when I type, as I've been doing too much of this morning, the muscles in my forearm tense up and hurt like the dickens -- and that's why I'm signing off now -- LMAO!! I will BBL because I really miss you guys and I'm afraid that I'm going to forget the funny stuff that happened at the MMGHH.

I've read everything and you all have my vibes and prayers and hugs. I'll BB later this afternoon, kay.

Oh! Jen, check your PM's:)

Oh! Oh! Happy birthday, Becky!!!

Oh! Oh! Oh! Dana, I hurt myself playing the Wii boxing gamex(

:* :* :* :* :* :* :* :* :* :*

ETA I just realized how utterly self absorbed my post is:eek: ;( . I'll amend that later:*

Hi Dana and Jennifer!

Dana - poor little Ralphmeister! I hope his mange starts to clear up soon. Your day on Friday sounds really nice. Chris and Sophie are going to be doing outside stuff today. Working more on the pond, etc. etc. Lucky sods.

Jennifer - I'm about 3 hours from Sarnia, I think. Markham isn't far from me at all, just the other side of Toronto, probably an hour in non-rush hour traffic.

I'm glad to hear your Dad and sister are feeling better. I hope the Lily of the Valley work for you. If not, try some Goutweed. It has pretty variegated leaves and will grow pretty much anywhere.

All right. They're gone now. And we HAD A BLAST! All 4 squirrels had the Deluxe Play Plan and really had a wonderful time. Much laughing and much hyperness to be had by all.

And they brought really lovely fancy fresh fruit cups with...what do you call that stuff...it's sort of a cross between mousse and Jell-O. Anyway, it was very nice. (Oh, by the way, I did invite the one girl, I just didn't know she'd want to bring someone else.)

Anyway, as the girls were leaving, the one I'd invited told me that it was actually this other girls' birthday. And the bday girl told me it was such a special birthday for her to be able to come over to my place and spend some quiet time with me and play with the squirrels.

And here I had been mucking about having to scrub my tub! What a loser I am!

It really was a nice evening, and even though it was presumptuous and nervy, I'm glad that they came over LMAO.

SHELLEY -

>Except that Sadie would probably eat it.

LMAO!!

I hope you're having a good time at work and that you'll be able to get home soon to play!

DANA - Oh carp. Losing data sucks....Oh, I'm glad to hear that Ralphie is only dealing with bald spots and not discomfort. He must look kind of cute with little bald spots!

>English Bulldogs aren't much for exercise so one-mile is his limit. LOL

LMAO. I did not know that about English Bulldogs.

Yum, fresh garden veggies. Were they delish?

JENNIFER - That's great that your vacation was bumped to be during a time after the house stuff is all finished. That will really count as a great vacation!

How nice of your neighbor to make such a generous offer! Will you be taking it?

MICHELE - Hello! That is pretty wild about the tennis ball therapy! And LOL about it being Wii boxing! Next time stick to Kickmax.

All right, the squirrels are totally out and I'm not. What should I do? Maybe I'll surf the net. Or am I sleepy? Maybe I should try to sleep. Yes. I will try to sleep.

Good night!

Probably. :*

Hey Augie Doggie! (I don't know why but this seems to be my new name for you -- LMAO!!)

I'm posting WAY MORE than I should be -- I just miss everybody!

I'm glad you had a nice visit with your friend and the birthday girl! There's nothing like company to get me to clean my house:p

It's nice that your squirrels didn't hide when company came over. My Johnny likes to hang out under the covers whenever anyone stops over.

Oh hey, my kitty loves my exercise mat and whenever I lay it on the floor he curls up for a nap and will not budge! :7 I was trying to do a stretch last night and I couldn't even skooch him out of the way -- lol!

Speaking of stretches, I just got my Classical Stretch DVD in the mail and I LOVE it! It's very fluid and thorough -- I felt so tall when I was done. I bought the season 4 TV programs -- 26 shows in all that run about 28 minutes each. I think it was a GREAT investment! I love the music, too -- mostly classical. Here's the link http://www.classicalstretch.com/

Jennifer, I LOVE Lily of the Valley. Another good ground cover is myrtle. It has a lovely purple flower in the spring.

Shelley, my Siegfried wiener dog tried to kill my kitties. I had to supervise their visits for about 6 months, then they became the best of buds.

I really have to go now and rest this arm. I'll probably BBL:*

OMG, I found the window sill seat for cats.

But the version they sell over here says you connect it to the window with two huge screws and velcro?! (There are two written reviews and one is 5 stars and the other one is 1 star.) Hmm.

Okay. Goodnight. :)

Hiya, Michele!

Awww, we're on at the same time!

>I was trying to do a stretch last night and I couldn't even skooch him out of the way -- lol!

OMG that is so cute.

Yeah, my apartment hasn't been this clean in a long while. I mean, I even wiped the light switches LMAO.

Night night and rest your elbow!

August - Why were you scrubbing your tub???? Did you think that they were going to stay and shower?????? LOL

There is a lot of stuff about English Bulldogs that isn't the norm. For instance, they CANNOT be in the heat. They can't tolerate it. We have the a/c on for Ralphie 24/7. They have very small trachea's therefore NO real bones or rawhide. Also, like I said, they do not like to exercise and should not be forced to since they are prone to heat exhaustion. They are prone to hip displaysia which is why EB pups should NOT be fed puppy food. Are prone to skin and eye problems. EB's are pretty expensive b/c they cannot be bred natural. (I don't know the real term) The female has to be artifically insemenated and has to give birth via c-section. They are also very stubborn. I can look Ralphie right in the eye, tell him to come on we are going out and he will just sit there til he is good and ready. I know that there seems like a lot of negatives with this breed but if you met an EB you'd overlook all that b/c you'd fall instantly in love. I'm serious.

Hi you haters!

August- The window seat I have for my cats is bolted into the window sill. When I had CJ at an apartment I lived in I couldn't bolt it to the window so I used the velcro & poor fatty the last time she ever got on that thing was when it came un-velcrod & she fell to the floor! It was the funniest thing I've ever seen. Needless to say she didn't use it again until I bought this house & bolted it for her. Your squirrels are probably small enough still that the velcro would work for them... my cats just always seem to be FAT, don't know how they get that way?? :D

Becky- HAPPY B-DAY!!!! Glad you made it home safe from vacation!

Shelley- You being easier on yourself these days? :) Is the summer cold going away?

Dana- CONGRATS!!!! Oh, that is for the job well done on the filing. I can't believe you had that much filing to do, jeez!

Michele- Check your PM! :*

Robin- Hope you are having a wonderful time on vacation!

Well, I am going to go find a protein bar to call dinner. I am really sick of not being hungry for any real food. Yesterday I was starving all day & I did eat when I was hungry & ate more than normal but all that sounds good is my low-carb wraps, protein bars, and apples & strawberries. I think I need my head checked. :p

Anyway, tonights workout was Tone It Up from beachbody. Last night I did KPC drills, then combo 2 & 3, and 1/2 of L&G. I think I am going to do B&G tomorrow evening then Shape It Up Friday, Powerstrike on Sat, and Drill Max on Sunday... thats the plan at least!

Jen -- No, you check YOUR PM's -- LMAO!!

Augie Doggie -- I think you should get that window seat! Either that, or just put something in in front of the window big enough for the kitties to lounge on. My kitty lays on the dinner table to look out the bay window:+

Dana - I agree, EB's are adorable!

Ok, today, I strongly DISLIKE my job!! It rarely happens although it happened about 2 weeks ago....I thank GOD I do have one but on the other hand, mid life crisis might call for a new occupation. GOD only knows. Life will be better on Thurs.

Hey Jennifer- What do you do for work? I was saying the same thing today to a guy I work with, I said I should just shut up b/c I have a job & am able to pay my bills but man sometimes it is just so stressful it makes me crazy! :) Hang in there, Friday is just around the corner... the countdown is on!! :D

Hiya Jennifer and Jen!

Okay, there is a LARGE tree limb poised over my garage and it's just hanging by a thread:eek: ;( . Luckily I have a trusty tree service and they're coming out first thing tomorrow morning to deal with it...for a mere $560:eek: ...   x( . This is an OLD ash tree that we've been trying to save, and actually, the limb isn't hanging by a thread -- it's hanging by a cable. We had the branches cabled a few years ago in an effort to strengthen the limbs and avoid just this kind of event. Thank GOD we did that or we'd probably have a huge hole in our garage roof right now.

Jennifer, what do you do for a living? I'm a nurse but, well I shouldn't even say that because it's been several years since I've actually practiced my profession. I'm a house Frau at the moment and if it weren't for the great benefits I'd probably quit -- LMAO!!

Oops == gotta go -- the phone. I'm so popular:p
