HATE - July 19

August

Cathlete
Good morning!

Cham has discovered the window sill. It's about the length of a sofa and the part she can walk on is quite narrow, so it's like she's practicing a circus act. Except once she gets to the side where there isn't a TV table from which to jump, her only choice is to back up, which she doesn't seem to enjoy very much LOL.

I have to go to work today and this morning I've realized that I spent all my time in the last couple days playing with and caring for the squirrels, and I did NO preparation for today. So I'm off to do that!

Heh.

DIANE - Haha, I can see how searching the house would provide way more entertainment at first than boring ever-prodding humans. It's been just shy of two weeks over here, but the squirrels are only 9.5 weeks old so maybe it will take them a little longer.

I could put the air-conditioner on high and see if they seek out heat LOL.

I safe-proofed my room, but didn't block off under the bed (I did safe-proof under the bed though), and that has become their safe place, rather than the luxury condo I got them http://bestsmileys.com/doh/1.gif . Then I read that when there are hiding places like that, it takes a little longer to get used to the place. But since they've already found it and obviously feel safe down there, I don't want to take it from them. So we'll just take our time and see how it goes.

And then I'll destroy my bed.

Anyway, thanks for the words of encouragement! And right on about your extra moolah, even if it's just for a short period of time!

DANA - Thanks for the link because I really, really need to buy my squirrels MORE stuff LOL. I've marked it and will scour through it on my return from work. My guys are eating premium and they love it. When I gave them dry for the first time, oh man, watch out! How cute for Ralphie to get the salmon oil. I'll bet those things don't come cheap. He's a lucky little puppy! Reminds me when I used to invest in flaxoil LOL.

>you're my idol and I"m trying to be just like you

LMAO. Well then you better find some good pajamas.

MICHELE - Have you oiled up that injury of yours? Perhaps next time your play with your relatives, you could suggest Nintendo DS Lite? I usually only get a mild wrist ache when I use my DS.

ROBIN - Caffeine withdrawals! LMAO! Well, I'm sorry to hear you were feeling gucky, and I'm glad you found that your DH was to blame, heh!

Don't prod me on like that about my talking about Mooch and Cham or we'll be having long posts like we did with Oogi (she's still around, but doing minimal work).

Yes, you're very clever to think that Cham might be short for something. I let my work partner name her...and he decided on the name because she is....Charming. LOL. So Cham is short for Chammee (in Japanese, the word charming is pronounced "cha-mee-n-gu").

>Give them a few months (years?)

LMAO! A few...YEARS?!

>Elbow grease will not help.

LOL, we're making the same joke.

Congrats to you on your Jan raise, too! Woo hooo! Everyone is getting their hair done and getting raises. I need to look into these things.

>I think she was just giving us hints and waiting for someone to come right out and say it.

But now the flood gates are open and you'll be hearing more and more about the squirrels unless you instruct otherwise!

I guess this means my guilt is gone LOL.

Hi, Jen!

All right then. I should get ready for work. But Mooch and Cham have just settled down near me on the sofa and it breaks my heart to have to leave them when they're sitting close to me. Or interacting with me in any way. Or looking at me. LOL.

Say, maybe they don't want to get in my lap because I'm wearing silk boxers at home all the time?

Have a great day, everyone!

Oh geez, no icons today. I'll work on that. My computer line is acting slow today for some reason so it was hard to go back and forth to the smilies page.

Okay then.

Later!

HI AUGUST!!!

Late check in for me & glad you posted already for today. Okay, one piece of advice about cats... act like you don't want them to do something & automatically they'll want to do it. Try to get them to do something & they will fight to no end to not do it. Sounds a lot like me actually... LOL!!!

You are correct though, cats are each so different. Storm would rather bite me than give me love or sit on my lap but she sleeps right next to me in bed but on top of the comforter (probably a good thing since I sleep in the buff }( ) Sport on the other hand crawls all over me, wants held all the time, and can't get enough of me but yet sleeps on the complete opposite side of my king size bed. Storm doesn't give me enough room to even move & when I do try to move she growls & swats at me to get back to my spot & not disturb the princess. Also, I think I'm come to learn that female cats are less lovable than males... CJ was female & lovable but not a lap cat-always wanted to be next to me, Storm is female, but Sport is male & is Mr. Love Bug!!!

Oh.... you've got to get them toys... my cats fav's are... the last one isn't exactly what I have but the best I could find w/o wasting too much time searching but mine was only like $75 at PetsMart & that is the newest addition & Sport just loves it!

Okay, need to go do a few things around here...been outside talking to my neighbor forever.

Hi all haters!

>act like you don't want them to do something & automatically they'll want to do it

LMAO!

Ooh, Jen thanks so much for the links!

I really love the short scratcher. Mom and I both have tall Cat Condos with scratch things, but it's looking like Lulu & Yoyo downstairs are going to need more scratch things for my Mom's dining room (aka Look-Ma-I'm-Wall-Climbing Paradise LOL). She's got cardboard scratchers here and there, but it seems they like ones that are vertical.

Aside from cool electronics and small funky trinkets, Japan is so behind on good-looking stuff LOL. I can only find things that are like pink and blue. My entire apartment is cream, and my Mom's entire apartment is white. I don't see us getting a pink scratcher. :+

I've seen the window sill percher recommended many places...in America. x(

My squirrels' favorite toys are the scratchy-sounding play bag with holes so they can pop in and out, anything with feathers, and they love to play Ride the Wild Sheet Wave where August puts a sheet on the floor and tones her arms by waving it up and down for fifteen minutes.

I did get a kind of cool imported carrier/bed called a Sleepypod and they like to balance on the top of it LOL. http://www.meowme.com/index.php

It's so cute about Sport and Storm and their personalities. Cham announces everything. "I've woken." "I'm going for a drink." "I'm ready for a nap." "What?" "I'm going to the bathroom." It's pretty funny. Mooch is sort of a klutz and still has yet to really figure out how much pounce he needs to get up onto the sofa.

Oops, now I'm unprepared and late for work. :*

Later!

Morning August and Jen.

August, I love the names for the games your cats play. My cats pretty much play Sleep on the Couch All Day and Meow in the Middle of the Night Max. And Jen is right. Cats are sooo independent. They always sit where you don't want them to, play with the thing you want them to leave alone and buddy up to the company who hates cats the most.

Jen, LOL about Storm swatting you if you move in the bed. I miss my Molly cat who used to sleep at the foot of the bed on my side every night. She would get kicked off a couple times every night when I tossed and turned, but always came back.

So I'm on my second cup of real coffee and feeling strong. I'm headed to work and have lots of errands to run after. Then home to do something cardio. See you all later.

Just bumping and copying Jennifers post to today.

Hello Everyone.

How are you all doing? My workouts have been scattered lately but now, at least, I'm doing them. No one in my family is being hosptialized for anything, which is a miracle in itself. My Dad goes back to Mayo for his first checkup post cancer and post transplant in mid-August.

Personally, I know I need to get in shape before the 4 Day Split is delivered, I preordered on the first day so this time I know the day will be sooner rather than later.

Have a Great Day!! Tonight, MM.

Jennifer (in MI)

Hi hi hi!! Hi everybody!!

I can't talk now -- LMAO!! Really, I'm scurrying around here trying to finish a load of laundry and get packing. I have to be ready to go when DH gets home. I'll try to stop back for personals before I leave.

Jennifer -- WELCOME to Hatertown!! We're thrilled to have you join us.

:* :* :* BBL

Hi everyone -

Just stopping by. I have to get this big project almost finished today, so I have to work like a crazy women. I shouldn't have even come on here.

Did I already say I was excited to be able to workout again after the baby? Already making my rotation... Right now I can't go up a flight of stairs without being totally winded, so I am definitely still a cardio hater!

Hiya!

Well, I didn't make it back in time to do personals. I'm just popping in here quickly before I leave for the weekend. I'll BB Sunday night. If we get home too late I probably won't post again before Monday morning. I hope you have a wonderful weekend. :* :* :*

Hello Michelle, Robin, Jen, Diane, and August.

Thank you for welcomoig me to the Haters Club, the best one to be in!!
Thank you, Robin, for copying and pasting my post on the other thread.

August, I have 2 cats too. Two boys whom are brothers are get into trouble all the time. Last week, they gave a live mouse for a "love" gift and put it on my bed while I was on it real early in the morning.

Have a Great Night!

Wow, it's been a slow day in hatesville. I am exhausted, work has been hectic and I have two presentations to prepare that I am avoiding to no end. One I believe needs to be ready by 2nd week of August then the other August 20th- which is when I "get" to go back to Des Moines, oh joy!

I was crabby all day at work so I did Powerstrike 1 tonight. I love that workout & on days when I'm pissy it always is great to relieve some stress, I asked a couple people at work if they wanted to come home & be the bag for me... :)

Robin- Yeah, Storm is quite the brat. She is rotten and knows it. I told my hairdresser last night that I don't think I should ever have kids cause I can't even raise normal cats so I'd screw up a kid for sure, LOL! I miss my CJ, she was the best cat ever. She thought she was a person so wouldn't ever go anywhere a person wouldn't go and never sat on your lap but always next to you. She also used to steal my ex's spot in the chair when we first started dating...she'd wait for him to get up to grab a beer or go to the bathroom then she'd make her move & jump in the chair-she knew I wouldn't make her move but make him go sit elsewhere. She was my pal- I added a picture of her to my picture trail not sure if you saw it, her nickname was pretty girl.

I am still having trouble finding anything that sounds good to eat. Thank goodness that my protein bars still sound & taste good because that is basically all I am eating for b-fast, lunch, and dinner. I also am just not as hungry as usual & I know I've dropped a few pounds but I feel okay so I am thinking it must just be the weather. Well off to grab dinner- clean up is a breeze when you just have to throw the wrapper away!
