Morning! http://www.mysmiley.net/imgs/smile/love/love0040.gif
Last night I ate a fresh mango sundae.
It was just a basic dish with cut up mango in it, a scoop of regular vanilla ice cream, a bunch of whipped cream (which I hate), almond slices (which I also dislike), and then more fresh mango on the top, all served on a fancy tray with fancy silverware.
When I went to pay my bill..........I nearly screamed.
It cost me about the same price as a kettle bell. I'm not kidding. That lame sundae cost me $30.
I was quite audible about it at the register. http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/violent087.gif
One of the first things I thought was, "Wait until I write about this on Hatersville!"
LOL. I feel better now.
So this morning I woke up and called the store and talked to the guy in charge of exercise equipment to see about what kind of kettle bells they have http://www.mysmiley.net/imgs/smile/happy/happy0014.gif .
His answer? "What is a kettle bell?"

So now I'm waiting for a call back from the guy from who I bought my barbell, who will be in in the afternoon.....and then I'll be deciding on my kettle! Woo hoo! I cannot wait!
I did my 10 minutes of cardio and then an L&G premix. My butt feels good.
Did I mention that I'm totally excited about the KB DVD?

JENNIFER - Glad to hear your lawn is mowed. Was it fun doing it yourself? I haven't mowed a lawn since I was in high school (my parents' lawn). I think I only did it (or rather, was made to do it LOL) a couple times because I always made such a big huge fuss about having to do it.
DANA - Thankfully the next bunch of emails from Beacon were all nice. I have no idea why my emails were returned with such a message. I wrote to Beacon about it but they didn't respond to it so I guess they don't mind??
Sooooo, are we all going to be doing the KB DVD together? http://www.mysmiley.net/imgs/smile/evilgrin/evilgrin0010.gif
Sheesh, the price of Wii is astounding!
I did notice the "detox" tips on the Beacon site. I would feel uncomfortable drinking a laxative for no reason every night. I mean, wouldn't you become dependant on that? What does the morning one do? Rev up metabolism?
Should we do the morning one?
MICHELE - How you feeling?
Yes, the sample video they put on there sure made me want to get the DVD, even though it looks so basic. That's actually part of why I liked it. Basic. Slow. Simple. And I liked how the woman (who apparently is an actress -- she's not the daughter of that actor, is she?) spoke.
Do you plan to wear gloves or a wrist guard when doing KB?
I'm going to guess that my only option for a 5 kg kettle is going to be that one with the weird uncomfortable-looking square handles. I'm thinking in that case to go with the 4kg, but I'm a bit bummed with the prospect that I'll never be able to increase, and that as a starter might already be too light. Hmm. Why on earth do they make the series 4 kg, 8 kg, 12 kg and so on?!
Anyhoo, have a great Tuesday and chat with you laters! :*
