Another good monster to you all! http://www.pic4ever.com/images/SEVeyesB08_th.gif
I did nothing yesterday. http://www.pic4ever.com/images/dancing1.gif It's great if I don't think about it, since postponing work really is just tightening my rope.
But that was yesterday! http://www.pic4ever.com/images/imslow.gif
I did a 10-min cardio and an upper body workout today and now I'm off to do some work. http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/angelic004.gif
JENNIFER - Mooch always comes up onto my bed in the morning twice at certain times. The first one is to come plop down into my arm (after asking me to open my arm out for him), then he'll knead me and drool on my arm as I touch his neck and body.
The second time is to check on me and ask if I'm going to be getting up (in the winter he slept with me, but now that it's too hot, I sleep alone http://www.pic4ever.com/images/hanghead.gif ). First I'll hear him stretching and sort of scratching the side of my bed, then he'll jump up and walk up to my face and do his airy weakling mew, "Ehyu? Ehyu?"
So tell us about your volunteering at a parade. Will you be working with toys? Candies? Darts? Rides? Face painting?

>Yesterday was supposed to be a rest day but I was so keyed up that I did the CC Pump workout at 10:30 last night
Good lord, woman, are you all right? http://www.pic4ever.com/images/snapoutofit.gif
>My invitations aren't done yet.
I know they'll turn out beautifully. They might be different from what you imagined....but those kinds of happenings can often work out to be a very cool twist!
>One of DH's colleagues proof reads all of his articles and text book chapters going from the last page forward. He said he can't find the mistakes otherwise. DH tried that but found it too taxing -- LMAO!
Oh wow, that's an idea for proof-reading! I can see how that would be very taxing!
DANA -
>I hope that they didn't charge for their mistake though.
Actually, it was our miss. I guess since we were looking and proofing it in 06, seeing the wrong date FEB 06 didn't pop out as wrong until it was actually printed up and in my stinkin' hand. I can't tell you how many people proofed it. You would think that SOMEONE, even someone at the printer, would have noticed that!
>If I don't start my workout by 7:30, I don't do one.
That's how I feel, too, except that my window closes around noon LOL.
>Oh who am I kidding, I couldn't tell you the last time I had a chance to workout.
I agree with you there, too. You do so much, Dana. It's a wonder you have time to post here.
>So what would you guys recommend as a good yoga DVD?
Oh boy, I did lots of research on this one! (Did I hear Michele giggling?)
What kind of yoga instructor do you think you'd be in to?
One that I do recommend is Rainbeau Mars and her series of Sacred Practices. Her sessions are quite short (30 min) and don't drag like a lot of yoga might - unless you are into yoga, in which case I suppose "drag" is the inappropriate word LOL. Rainbeau also films outdoors in a pretty location, and she's mellow and pleasant (and don't let the name fool you, she's not mystical).
For a longer session, I thought the Total Yoga series was nice. It's a very simple set though and might not work for some (I prefer simple sets and fewer people present).
And as much as I'm hesitant to write it, I've read good things about the MTV Pilates and Yoga series, though I've never tried them.
I have Rodney Yee and when I've gotten through the whole thing and it's finished, I feel awesome. How many times have I FORCED myself through the yoga one of his I have? Twice. I've also got Bryan Kest Power Yoga Series, but I don't even remember trying them out.
I started out with Crunch : The Perfect Yoga Workout and also Yoga for Dummies, and I think they are both good. The instructor Sara Ivanhoe is really mellow, which I like (though the Dummies one has these "reminders" that "pop" out in windows with a big BOING! sound which is fairly obnoxious). Both of these yoga videos aren't your typical "yoga" workout, but more like a youngish fitness instructor doing a yoga workout.
Okay then. LOL.
SHANNON - Hey there! We've missed you!
Yes, working at home is as awesome as it sounds. Except that it's very easy to become a mole. I am a mole for about half the year, and the other half of the year I'm out and about fully clothed LOL. When you're in your mole role, and you have to go out for a night, it's very difficult to summon up the gumption to put on makeup and figure out what outfit will be the least constricting.
As for what I do, I always have trouble saying what I do because it either comes out as sounding sketchy or conceited.
Here's the sketchy version : I'm in the entertainment business.
Here's the conceited version : I'm a singer songwriter.
Here's the tacky version : I'm a music writer/producer/performer.
On second thought, maybe they all sound sketchy LOL. Nevertheless, I feel incredibly lucky to be able to be doing what I always dreamed to do, and I've been really fortunate in timing and meeting the right people. I've really got it good and am very thankful. I complain about the lack of space in my apartment, but I really shouldn't be. I really am very lucky.
Okay. I'm off to make some magic!
