August

Cathlete
Mooooooooooooorning!

I'm takin' the day off. Which is a good thing because I just spent like two hours catching up and reading and writing and now I'm exhausted LOL.

And starved.

What shall I eat from the August Store? LOL

Okay, have a great weekend and chat with you later!

Robin - Your plant world sounds like a good movie pitch : the symbolism and parallels in plant and human life. You obviously have a very green thumb!...Wow, a 30-year marriage that started from a college romance. Very cool....Anyway, urgh about the cold. Feel better quickly! Hey, you shouldn't be working out, young lady.

Diane - Hey, that Buff Moms workout sounds like something they could market in Cardiohatesville ("a pathetic excuse for cardio")....I'm sorry to hear that Sydney isn't completely in the clear. I'll be sending good thoughts and wishes in hopes that it turns out to be nothing....Addison is a name I've never heard. I like it!

Arista - Being that you mentioned the special secret password (HATE CARDIO), you are now an official member! LOL. Nice to meet you, Arista. We're looking forward to hearing more about you! What kind of rotation are you doing now? Do you have any favorite workouts in general?...At one time you had four dogs and four cats all at once? How fun!!!!...Pictures? Pictures? I wanna see pictures!

Dana - Actually, there's no sign of snow anywhere here. Heh. But IF it snows, by golly, I'm stocked and ready!!...Thanks for the compliment about my writing. I think it would be a total blast to write children's books. I remember writing a couple short stories with illustrations for English class in school, and I really got into them. One of them had to be in rhyme. My teacher must have been pretty shocked how much time I put into that ONE project LOL....OMG, caffeine in donuts and whatnot? Hysterical! Hysterical to think it, NUTSO to actually go about doing it! But I guess he got some press, so maybe it's not so nutso....Oh, I know Enoki mushrooms! Those guys are good! One thing though - chew those suckers well. If not, they'll make an exit EXACTLY the way they looked putting them into your mouth. It doesn't hurt, so don't worry. It's actually rather entertaining - like a good private magic trick....I had a gig last night starting at 3am URGH. Today I have some meetings, but nothing I can't nap through LOL.

Michele - Glad to hear that you're doing well enough to look at the computer screen a bit! Think how long that must have taken for the suture to weed its way INTO your eyeball and over to your cornea to scratch scratch scratch away?! AGGAAGGAGA!! No wonder you've been under the weather, GEEZ!! That is really, really incredible to think about. Really, thank goodness you got it figured out before the dang suture peeked itself right out of your eyeball (though that would have been pretty cool).

Jen - Hey there, that's nice that Sport can hang out with you while you're on your computer without Storm there to be spastic. They'll get the hang of each other, but don't feel badly about not being able to make them be immediately friendly! Anyway, have a great time with your mom!

Janjan - The nanny thing sounds so posh and luxurious! That's great that she's working out so well. Remember looking around for a good one way back when?

Deb - LOL, I know, reading up on the forums takes all your exercise time away, doesn't it? Lucky I'm taking the day off today. What do I sing? I guess you could call it club pop.

Okay, I'm reallllllllllllllllllllly hungry.

Later!

I was just passing through on my way to bed when I saw this:

>>Oh, I know Enoki mushrooms! Those guys are good! One thing though - chew those suckers well. If not, they'll make an exit EXACTLY the way they looked putting them into your mouth. It doesn't hurt, so don't worry. It's actually rather entertaining - like a good private magic trick<<

ROTFLMAO ROTFLMAO ROTFLMAO ROTFLMAO ROTFLMAO ROTFLMAO

>>thank goodness you got it figured out before the dang suture peeked itself right out of your eyeball <<

It WAS peeking out of my eyeball:eek: . That little sucker poked right out onto my eyeball and was just flopping around on there, which explains why it felt like I had something in my eye--lol!. I get the willies just thinking about it. Anyway, the flopping around is what irritated my cornea. It's feeling better...it kind of started to feel more irritated as the day wore on which makes sense, but eyes tend to heal quickly and I'm sure in a few days it'll be good as new.

Okay, I need to get to bed. I have to get plenty of rest before my cardio challenge at noon:eek:  ;( :7

Hey everybody! :* :* :*

HI ladies -

Michele - That freaks me out that it was sticking out of your eye. Gives me the willies just thinking about it. I'm so glad you got it checked out.

Well, last night was a stressful night sorta. I went out to a going away party for one of my work friend who is moving to Manhattan for her husbands job. She is just transferring to our NY office up there, so I will still see her around at work functions etc. Anyway, it was a huge group of girls at a wine bar. Of course I was not drinking wine and I was happy no one really noticed. Then, out of the blue, one of my work friends asks me when DH and I are going to start having kids. I am was like, "Oh, that is top secret information." Then my other work friend said, "I hypothosize that Diane is pregnant right now, since she didn't drink anything tonight." Anyway, I didn't admit or deny, but pretty obvious. I trust them not to tell anyone and they are good friends, I am just scared if anyone else from work overheard. DH and I work at the same law firm, and I don't want us both to start getting questions about it, especially this early when you don't know what could happen. Anyway, so now I am stressed that people at work will find out soooo early! But it would have been too hard to lie to my friends' face and say I wasn't pregnant.

Oh, and today I am doing BMTB (buff moms to be) again, and some walking if it stops raining out there.

Good morning everyone! Just wanted to pop in to say hello before I force myself away from the computer to get some house cleaning in and laundry done. That is my agenda for the day!

Workout is going to be Drill Mix Cardio/Leg Premix - I think that & cleaning the house will due me in for the day, I'm always lazy after a full week of work & workouts! Good thing I'm single and CAN do nothing & get away with it.

Well I will bbl this afternoon after some cleaning & w/o is in! :)

Okay popping my head back in to say I changed my mind on w/o for today, I am going to Drill Max as produced instead of Cardio/Leg Premix... I haven't done it as produced for quite some time so it'll "new" to me again & I started looking back at what w/o I've done this week and they are all w/o that didn't use weights, except B&G but that is just lower body. So, I decided that I should do a w/o today that does hit the upper body a little too.

Do you guys find Drill max as is to be easier than the Cardio/Leg Premix? I do... my heart rate stays up higher when taking out the upper body part. Okay, DVD is already in the player so I'm off!

Good morning gals,

I'm on my way to go pick up my big 'ol cat, Gandalf, from my country house, so my post will be short and my workout nonexistent today. (It's a 5 hour round trip). IF, I can get my fiance out of bed (BIG if).

August - Right now, I don't really have a rotation. I only have about 5 videos that I like to use right now, so I pretty much just rotate those throughout the week: Hi-Step Challenge, Lo Max, Rhythmic Step Challenge, and a few other non-Cathe workouts. I definitely like to lift weight two-three times a week hitting all body parts. I also have the Timesaver series which is nice when I don't have a full hour to work out. I'd love to get some more videos, but since we just moved, we really need to watch our budget right now. When I finally finish my Computer Science degree and get a "real" job (Summer 2008), I'm going to buy myself all the DVD's I can handle!

Michelle - I'm so sorry to hear about your eye. I wear contacts and always seem to have some problem with my eyes going on, so I know where you're at. But that is really gross! And it must be so uncomfortable... argh.

DIane - Congratulations on the pregnancy! That's too bad that you can't just blurt out your pregnancy to everyone you see! That's what I'd want to do. I'm 27, almost 28, so I'm not too far away from starting my own family. (but not too soon) :)

Alright, I'd better go rescue Mr. Gandalf. He's an outside cat right now, and we're bringing him to Spokane to be an indoor kitty, so we'll see how that goes. Our other cat, Tiger, is a male too, so I hope they don't decide they need to mark territory.

I'll try to post some pics by the end of the weekend. Have a great day girls!

Diane - Sorry to hear about the drama last night, I can totally understand you not wanting to say something to them for a while. Hopefully it won't be brought up anymore...people always talk more in a non-work environment...keeping my fingers crossed.

Hello to August, Arista, Michele, & anyone else who follows... seems very quiet here today. I did Drill Max as produced minus the last drill, I think I have caught the stomach flu, was up twice last night in the bathroom & been in there 3 times today so needless to say by the last drill I was exhausted. I did add on the 11 minute floor work from Leg&Glutes but I still feel I didn't get as good of w/o as I wanted, darn stomach! Trying to decide what next week w/o is going to look like, I normally just decide the day of but posting it last week was nice b/c then I didn't have to think at all about it-although I did change the days of a few of them I stuck with the "planned w/o" w/ the exception of Friday. So....

Monday - Shape It Up (haven't done in a while)
Tuesday - Tamilee Webb Cardio Blast w/ Bun Shaper
Wednesday-off day
Thursday-Cardio Intervals (beachbody) w/ floor work from B&G
Friday-Cindy Whitmarsh Ultimate Fat Burner
Saturday-Kick Max-blast challenge first, then drills, then leg work
Sunday-Cardio/Leg Premix Drill Max w/ some sort of glute work

That is what I'm thinking right now but I am reserving the right to change it up until Monday, I have so many dvd's I need to go downstairs & look at them to see if any others I haven't done in a while as the theme of the week seems to be w/o that I don't do all the time!

Okay well back to doing some shopping on-line. Will check back later since I don't think I'll be going anywhere today b/c of this stomach issue.

Hey everybody!!

Thank you all so much for your well wishes. My eye continues to improve, slowly but surly. It still feels like I have something in my eye but I can tell the lubricant drops are helping.

Diane, try not to stress. If these are your friends I'm sure they'll honor your wishes to keep a lid on it, and if they don't, well, like you said, people are bound to find out sooner or later anyway. There's no sense in worrying about things you have no control over. Just take care of yourself and everything else will fall into place. :* And I want to hear all about your workout:D

Jen, I'm so sorry to hear you're not feeling well. Oh geez, I hate when I'm forced to worship the porcelain god. You better rest...and that means no workout for you, young lady!

Arista, oh, I love your kitty's name. I was a big fan of the LOTR movies...never read the book but I hope to one of these days.

Okay, I suppose I better tell y'all before you hear it somewhere else first...I LOVED that cardio challenge. I mean I LOVED it. I experienced my first EVER endorphine high. I mean I was positively exhilarated after that workout and that must be what endorphines do, right? Me, exhilarated after a cardio workout:eek: . That's NEVER happened before. Usually I just want to die.

But I still hate all other cardio, so don't kick me out of Cardiohateville, okay? LMAO

I better sign off now. I'm still trying to limit my computer time...don't want to aggravate the eye. I'll see you tomorrow:* :* :*

ETA a big hug for Robin. Poor Robin has been sick, too. Rest, my friend. Geez, it looks like we need to open up a 4 bed ward in the Cardiohateville infirmary. Nurse Michele is at your service...now drop your drawers and bend over}(

Ha, ha, ha, Michele. Methinks thou dost protest too much (about cardio.)

Thank you for the get well wishes. I had to skip today's workout. My throat justs hurts too much to breathe hard. Instead a watched one of my favorite French films - My Mother's Castle. Someday I'm going to go there.

I'm headed to bed with a book now. See you all tomarrow.

wow - we are a sick bunch today! I'm so sorry to hear about all the unwell-ness (or something like that :+ )

And most of the you worked out on top of that! Great job. I have absolutely no excuses now. Darn.

Well, we didn't go get Gandalf, the kitty, today. My fiance got out of bed too late, so we decided to catch up on homework instead.

I love those LOTR movies too, although the books were even better! You must read them, Michelle (when your eye gets better, of course).

I'll admit to loving the endorphin high of cardio too. I even enjoy a good run every now and then... although I really HATE running. Go figure. What cardio challenge did you do? I'm kinda outta the loop on this one I think.

I hope everyone feels 100% better in the morning. Talk to ya'll later! Back to homework....:(
