Cathlete
Everyone! I have food!

:7 :7 :7 Pachi pachi pachi pachi pachi! :7 :7 :7

I went shopping and bought the Motherload. If there's a snow storm and nobody can go out for days, I'll got provisions.

I finished up my Christi Cardio Collectibles and C&W abs, and then went with Mom to that fish restaurant for lunch. Yumbo!

Diane - CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's wonderful news on your pregnancy! Just wonderful! (And also great news about Sydney!)

Michele - Holy cripe, a suture?!! Rubbing up through your eye and into your cornea?! OMG OMG OMG!!!!!!!! That sounds so gory! AWESOME! LOL. But really, that sounds unreal! What a relief to know what was going on! NOW you can finally get your eye back to normal. How scary that would have been if you just tried to ignore it! Get some rest. Hey, why are you reading this? Get out of here and go shut your eyes...Oh, your cute DH! He just loves surprising you! LOL. Yes, I am now beginning to understand the genius behind the premixes. Hhhhhh, I sure don't like leg day....Oh, you are talking to the woman who LOVES to throw, so my mongo oatmeal bag is still all right (until June, I think). I love going through my mini-kitchen once in a while to sift for things out of date. I rarely find any (because I LOVE to throw), but when I do find something I can throw away, ohh, it's a wonderful feeling. Though you're right, I feel like I've had that oatmeal forever. Hmmm. Maybe I should check the date again LOL.

LMAO on your suggestion to use the cardio challenge as the Krispy Cardio Challenge. Walk myself there! Now that would be great exercise with a ton of incentive.

I'm totally with you on the animal threads. I can't bring myself to read them for fear of reading something sad. Nothing makes me sadder than to hear sad things about animals. Rah rah for Cuteoverload!

Dana - Your boys are power houses! Can you imagine how that would be to feel like that?...My Mom and I always go shopping together, so it's likely that if I'm out of food, so is Mom. But we're both stocked to the brim now...I'm so sorry to hear about your DP (darling plant - for those of you who have no idea what we're talking about). Being together for 7 years is a long time. My DP and I have only been together a few years, but it's the longest relationship I've ever had. What kind of plant is he, you ask? Well, um, let's see here, he's got green long leaves. I'm fairly sure he's some kind of cactus (and that's why he's made it living with me). By the way, I'm 37. But thanks for thinking of me as an early 20s year-old LOL. And you are not boring at all!!...Mushroom that starts with E? I don't know how to spell it in English, but there's a mushroom called something like Elingi. Is that it?....Ohhhhhhhh, puuupppppiiiieesss!

Jen - There was a while we were talking a lot about Kickmax here. That thing is a load, isn't it!...LOL about your Kaluha and diet hot cocoa. I don't drink, but that does sound good. Oh wait, you wrote Kahula. Is that something else?...I'm a musician for a living if you can believe it. It's awesome. I'm in my pajamas mostly.

Robin - You're having your 30th wedding anniversary this May? OMG! That is awesome!! How did you meet your DH?

Deb - Hi there!

Janjan - Woah! Long time no see! Congratulations on making a decision about the move. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that you guys find a fantastic house!...Portland? No sales tax. Go shopping!....New foods? Hmm. A branch of Krispy Kreme opened up in Tokyo. I plan to go. I plan to eat.

All right, be good everyone and talk with you later. :D

LMKrispyAO.

I better get to the Tokyo branch before it goes out of business. Oh man, the pressure! The pressure!!

Goodmorning August, Janjan and all to follow.

August, I met my DH at college. We've been happy together ever since. We are certainly blessed. I'm glad you and your mom got supplies in before the snow storm hit. Hey, I have a plant that's as old as my relationship with DH. I got a cutting from a girl in my dorm and just keep ressurecting it with cuttings whenever it starts to look sick. It's name is Marci, after the girl who gave it to me. I also have a spider plant from a cutting I snitched from a greenhouse at college. And a plant named Auntie, from a planter my late, great aunt had, and corn plant named Bob from a planter my dad got when he was dieing. And a whole shelf full on nameless, but nevertheless loved African Violets.

Michele, go away and continue to heal your eye. Oh, and good luck with next week's procedure.

Janjan, good luck with the house hunting. Someday I know my DH and I will have to move out of our home of 28 years. I dread the packing. Everyone should have to move every 5 years or so to keep the attics and basements clear of years of accumulated crap.

Dana, I hope you and the boys aren't walking today. Baby, it's cold out there.

Diane, yipee!

I'm not sure if I'll get a workout done today. The cold I've been hoping I wasn't getting, seems to have arrived this morning. I have a sore throat and some achiness. But I do feel better now, after being up and about for an hour or so. Maybe in a couple more hours I'll be up to a leg day.

Have a great day all.

Hi ladies -

Jana - What area of town are you looking at? I have a friend that is selling a house in our neighborhood for a good price, but it is pretty small square footage so probably not good for a family. But if you are moving closer into town, we definitely need to get together sometime.

Michele - Go rest your eyes!

Jen - Yes, DH has already taken over the kitty litter duties. I got tested before getting pregnant and I have already been exposed to whatever it is in kitty poo (and therefore it is highly unlikely I will get sick even if I did handle kitty poo) but DH still does it in the off chance. We also changed to all natural cleaning products without chemicals and some other random things just to be careful. Also trying to eat mostly organic without pesticides, etc. There are a million things to think about!

August - yes, I was very sad when Krispy Kreme moved out of Texas. There was on right down the street from our house and I would go sometimes on the weekend. So sad.

Well, I did a pre-natal workout video last night (Buff-Moms-To-Be) and it was pretty easy. Some stretching, floorwork, kegels, toning and a pathetic excuse for cardio. I could have done something a bit harder, but not too much harder, so it was alright. I like that it was broken up into 15 minute segments, so I could just do one of them if I am short on time or just for a quick night time workout. It will go on my list of possible purchases, but not a definite must-have.

This morning I took a 20 min walk. I woke up late and that is all I had time for but at least I did something.

Hi there,

My name is Arista and I've been doing Cathe workouts for about three years now. However, I haven't been as consistent as I'd like to be (and I just moved to a new city and left old friends behind) and was hoping to join a forum post here at Cathe.com. I really need some motivation/inspiration to stick with a good diet and exercise! And I need accountability too. I have about 20 pounds to lose and I'm in my late 20's.

Are you open to new members on your post here?

I do HATE CARDIO by the way!:) And I look forward to meeting all of you.

Hi Arista -

Glad you could join! This is a fun group so I am sure you will have a good time. Looking forward to getting to know you better.

Oh I also wanted to add the Sydney is not totally in the clear yet. The vet called back yesterday and said that they had sent her x-rays to a specialist and the specialist said her GI tract is fine, but that there was a "shadow" or something over the kidney, which may mean a fluid build up in that area. So we have to take her back to the vet soon to check her kidney function. It could be several things: 1) an inflammation in that area, caused by a former trauma (falling and hitting that area) so she may need some antibiotics 2) some congenital kidney problem or 3) a slight chance that she has FIP. The vet said it is very unlikely it is FIP, since fluid is usually not localized like that and we wait several months before bring the kittens into the house after Lucy died (our kitten Lucy died of FIP last May) and she has no other symptoms of FIP. So FIP is very unlikely. If it is a kidney problem there is nothing we can really do - she could live for a long time or a short while, depending on what it is. And if it is just inflammation, then she hopefully will just need antibiotics. So Sydney is still causing a lot of worry at our house. But she is acting totally normal and happy, extremely playful (even though Sadie is still a little scared of her b/c she smells like the vet's office) so hopefully it is nothing. But there is still the worry in the back of our minds.

Hiya!!! Happy Friday!!!!

Welcome Arista - glad to have you here.

Michele - you better be resting and not on here reading this. You need to take care of yourself girl! We'll still be here when you're all better. :) I hope that this doesn't cause problems for your cardio challenge b/c I know that you were looking forward to it. Just take it easy.

Diane - I hope that there isn't anything serious wrong with Sydney. I hope you get good news soon. How are you feeling? When I was pregnant my favorite weight workout was Push/Pull, it is only 45 minutes long and it was easy to modify when the belly got bigger. And for the dreaded cardio, I walked and used the elliptical.

Robin - I asked my DH if he knew the English brothers and he does. Apparantly one of them wrecked their car bad which is why they are building a new one. I said I already knew that, Robin told me. :) He thinks we are nuts. Oh well! It is sooo cold. It was 3 this morning. That is crazy. I am not going out for a walk. Not today. I can't believe that you name your plants - now that is even more crazier then 3 degree weather. No way should people move every 5 years. I HATE moving. Thankfully, I am not a pack rat so I don't keep things I don't need. Now my DH, that is a different story. You should see our garage. ((as I hang my head in shame))

August - I'm glad that you've got some food in your place. Did you get snow? You know what you would be good at? You should write a children's book. Seriously. You are so creative and funny. Plus I'm sure you've got lots of connections to do the art work. We've got lots of childrens' books at home and some of them are so horribly written I don't know how they get published. You could be the next Dr. Seuss (who I LOVE). Listen to what I saw on the tv this a.m., some guy wants to add caffiene to donuts & bagels so he submitted his idea to Dunkin Donuts, Krispy Kreme & Starbucks. Wonder if that would change the taste? And the mushroom that I bought was an Enoki mushroom which was imported from Korea. It was very good in my stir-fry and when I looked it up online one of the medicinal purposes in Western countries was to use it to treat leukemia. Wow! Any exciting plans this weekend? You always have something or other goin' on.

Jana - hey stranger!!! Good luck on the house hunting. I agree, this is such a fun age with the kiddos. Is Marley talking yet? Gannon is starting to. A lot of the things he says you can't understand of course, but he is communicating!

Hi Jen. What are you doing tonight? Any big plans for the weekend?

Hi Deb. It's the final countdown - do do do do doot! Does anyone remember that song? From Europe during the hairband era? Anyway, less than a week until Feb 1st.

So last night I tried to download some songs. My friend told me about this free website called bearshare where you can download music for free. I tried to download 4 songs which took over 2 hours! Then the song that I wanted the most, Welcome to the Black Parade by My Chemical Romance, would not play b/c no license could be found.x( That was the song that took the longest and then it wouldn't play. I was so mad. Then another song failed. So it took 2+ hours to download 2 songs. This morning I did 3 songs in less than an hour. I want to make a cd for when I go walking.

No workout last night. DH left for his indoor archery. Basically Wed & Thurs are no workout days for me. Tonight really should be a cardio night - although I hate to admit it.

OK, I best be going for now. Have a fun weekend all! :)

Hi everybody!!

I just had to come say hello to my friends :+

I also want to welcome iluvweights! We're always happy to bring a newbie into the fold. We workout but we're also very forgiving if you don't;) :p :7 .

My eye is feeling some better today but it's still pretty scratchy, like somebody threw sand in my face. I think it just all came to a head yesterday so it's a good thing I called the doctor. Nurse's are notorious for neglecting their own health;).

Okay, I better not stick around but I just had to come and see what y'all're up to. I did read everything, so ^5's, hugs, prayers, and big kisses to all :* :* :*

Quick hello to all... i am leaving work at noon today, running a few errands, then home to workout, and then spend some time with the cats - still trying to get them to be "friendly" with each other. I feel so bad for Sport-he won't come into my bedroom at night b/c of Storm so I only get to spend time with him while getting ready then at night after I workout... he does "watch" me w/o but still, I feel like a bad mom! I know eventually he'll come into the bedroom at night, good news is that he lays on the computer desk while in there.

So, that being said after my w/o this afternoon I'm going to be doing computer work and probably on this forum catching up-haven't had much time to be nosey lately!!!

I think this afternoon I am going to take it easy a little ont the w/o and do Firm It Up from Beachbody and maybe ABS from KPC. I did KPC on Wednesday, then Powerstrike 1 and 30 min. Bun Shaper last night so I am kind of tired... PS1 kicks my butt for some reason.

Welcome iluvweights, I'm new too... check the postings from earlier this week where I "introduced" myself.

Weekend for me is going to be spend with the kitties and then I think maybe Sunday going to my Mom's house to spend the day with her.
BBL.

OK, I just got an e-mail from Bearshare.com thanking me for my 99 cent purchase of Steve Earle's Copperhead Road???? Who the h@!! is that???? I know my DH is up to no good.

LOL at Dana's sneaky DH.

Maybe a longer post later, but I wanted to welcome Arista to the check in. What a lovely name. And I see you are from Spokane! My sister lives north of Spokane, in Metaline Falls. She and her DH work for the US Forest Service. It's nice to meet you.

So now I'm headed for a nap. If I feel up to it, and I expect to, I'll try a leg workout when I get up. The rotation calls for GS Legs, but that is the only GS I don't have. I'll subsitute, pyramid, leaner legs or L&G.

Hey Diane! We are thinking back to the Heights, but we are not sure. Talk about wanting to pull your hair out!! Its nutty. We know our house will sell really fast in Katy, so we are trying really hard to find something big enough. We have the Nanny too who lives with us Mon-Fri so we need to have space for her too.

We will for sure need to go shopping soon! I am so excited for you! Did you do the gender chart?

Well, the nap didn't work, because I couldn't stop the tickle in back of my throat. So, I got up and did L&G. It felt pretty good too.

August - You busted me out, oops - nope it is Kaluha I'm drinking, not Kahula, maybe that's the dance I do after I drink the Kaluha! Wow, a musician and in pajamas mostly-I am SO JEALOUS! I LOVE MY PJ's and am in them as often as possible... like now! :)

Diane- Glad to hear your DH has already taken over, he must be a good man! So...any names picked out yet? Sorry about Sydney, Sadie probably thinks she was cheating on her since she smells like other animals. Storm & Sport just got into a growling match at each other & I think maybe Sport won...I'm a little disappointed in Stormy!

Arista- Okay, I checked you out & you say you like pets... I think that is the other requirement here, hating cardio & pet lover! Actually Robin decided our logo would be "Pet lovers/Cardio Liars"! Welcome to the group! You said you moved away, what prompted the move if you don't mind me asking?

Dana -My w/o stunk today, I did Firm It Up from beachbody but just wasn't that into it today-hence the reason I went for an easier w/o anyway. I needed a little break though did B&G leg blast premix w/ floor work added Monday, KPC on Wednesday, Powerstrike 1 & 30 min Bun Shaper on Thursday and tomorrow I have Drill Max Cardio/Leg Blast premix scheduled w/ BM2 on Sunday.

Michele- If you are reading this....STOP & back away from the computer with your hurt eye & go REST!!! :)

Robin- Sorry you didn't get your nap-I took a small one for you until my cell phone started ringing like crazy, still had it on vibrate, my cell is work/personal phone so while at the office I keep on vibrate so it doesn't bother others when brokers are calling me. Anyway, so it was vibrating off the hook. When I finally opened my eyes to see who was disturbing the one nap a year I actually take it was my boss & about 3 other co-workers of mine. So, I called my boss back to find out that they let a co-worker go this afternoon. Now my stomach is upset.

So anyone doing anything exciting this weekend? I'm not, planning on trying to stay around the house as much as possible since it is only the 2nd weekend (one week exactly tonight) since i've had the new kitty. Storm feels betrayed so going to try to give her lots of love this weekend and Sport is just naturally a love bug and wanting love every time I turn around!

Jen - Yes, DH has been sweet so far, but we will see how long that lasts. He has his own book called Expectant Father or something like that he started reading and he runs into the rome every few minutes when he is reading it to makes sure I know not to do something (eat soft cheese, use window cleaner, etc.).

Names - Front runners right now are Benjamin (Ben) for a boy and Ava for a girl. Also like Joshua for a boy and Addison for a girl.

Diane -That is too funny! He sound so sweet & worried about you maybe inhaling some window cleaner or something, LOL!!! Hey, he is actually reading a book about pregnancy which I bet is a lot more than can be said for a lot of guys!

I am trying to figure out whether I want to buy Tracey S. new sweatfest kickboxing w/o, I started a thread about it(yeah i know someone had done that before too) but thought maybe I'd be able to figure it out but I'm still as confused as I was before! I think I'll just order the kickboxing one on preorder & if I don't like, I don't!

I love the name Addison, that is so pretty! You'll have to keep us posted as new names become possibilites!

Hey everyone-

Arista-welcome to the thread-there are some very funny ladies who post here-laughing works the core you know (I just made that up but it sounds good)

Michele-hope your eye is feeling better soon-take care-

Robin-please feel better soon too-

Diane- your hubby sounds too cute- when I had my 3 daughters we didn't have a book for expectant fathers (you know back in the ol days)-

Dana-you counting down for me? are you going to hold me to it?did I say I was gonna start P90X Feb. 1-man, I gotta get my head in the game for that--(LOL)

August- your a singer?? no really, I think I joined this thread after you guys had discussed your life's journeys, etc. yada, yada ,yada.. anyways-what do you sing?

Jen-we are not doing too much this weekend- stay home and read-it's funny, my husband has a twin and him and his wife go out all the time-they have a life and then theres us -we stay home alot-then when we get a chance to see a movie theres nothing good playing- like right now- there are so many good movies but we havn't been able to plan a night out to see anything-oh well-LOL

girls-I just used up all my time to "talk" to you and sadly I have no time left to work out-no really, I think I'll take a nap now sounds better than workin out at the moment--ga night--deb
