Cathlete
Morning!

Today was leg day. Boooo! Boooo! Booooooooooooooo! :)

So I did Excerpts from Gym Style Legs. Not familiar with that premix? It's the one where I only do the ones I want to do. :*

I have nothing in my kitchen. Nothing . I haven't been this out of food in a long time. I think I'll have some time this weekend to get to the grocery store. In the meantime, I ate a banana with organic peanut butter, and drank a glass of soymilk with a bit of protein Rocky Road powder. I could always have a sweet potato. I think I have two left. I'm out for the next three days so I won't be eating here anyway. But I'll need to figure out something for breakfast tomorrow.

I do still have a MONGO bag of oatmeal LOL.

>Sadie is hissing at Sydney because she smells like the vet.

LMAO.

Diane - How is she feeling today?

Robin - Cardio Challenge? WTH's a Cardio Challenge? And WhyTH's Michele doing one? Huh? A Gym Style Challenge? What's going on around here?! Did something happen that I missed?...OH NOO!! You lost a pithy post?! I like to read your pithy posts. That totally sucks.

>I'm applying for the job of chief brush washer for Debs job of painting on the beach. I'll even pour the wine.

LMAO.

Dana - I'm sure that Sweet Potato Man is selling his taters to marathon runners and the likes who can catch up. What with my frozen ones on their way to me, all I have to do is answer my front door now!...Ah yeah, I can see how you might think to do something else after your first experience at the salon. Did you ever keep track of that place? Is it still in business?...That grapefruit sounded really good. I haven't had one in a while, too, and I love them. Except that they totally make my gums shrivel up in pain LOL. Oh, the photos I saw were of Jeanette's P90X progress. Deb is starting up in February and I for one am looking forward to seeing her photos, too. :7

Hint hint, Deb!

Michele - Okay, okay, let me get this straight. You were going to keep this important cardio information from us?! You think you could just get away with that? What are we to think? I guess,...I guess we'll get over this hurdle,...Hmm. I might even join you. But I'm guessing it doesn't include any Christi? ;)...Your favorite version of the lullaby sounds like a really interesting mixture. I'm not sure I'm familiar with the song. I'll have to look it up.

>I'm thinking about it. I wonder if there's been a shift in the tectonic plates of the earth's crust?

LMAO!!

Deb - If you can find any of Jeanette's posts, you'll find a link pasted in at the bottom. You can click there and go to her photos...Is that dream job your dream job or your dream vacation?! LMAO.

Jen - Shame on you for not having dessert! :p Wow, you did great and the lunch sounded really yum! Hmm, I can't imagine deep fried green beans. Deep fried green beans. Nope. Can't imagine it....I am seriously on the verge of Kittydome. I'm even reading Complete Kitten Care. Seriously...Thanks for telling us about yourself. Sounds like you live a full and happy life! How fun it must be to have all sorts of siblings like that. As for myself, as you know, I'm a huge cat lover, and I dabble in music while living in Tokyo (I'm American). I've been here since graduation college over like, geez, 15 years ago? OMG. And though I'm single, I live with my DP (darling plant). LOL.

On that note, it's time to slop on the makeup and get going.

Have a nice day! (And hopefully a deep, wonderful sleep!)

Good morning August and all!

It's about 12:30 AM and I'm finally headed to bed. I was just informed by Mr. Never-Checks-His-Schedule-in-Advance that I need to take him to work in the morning, so I won't be around until much later than usual. Apparently he needs to drop his car off for service first thing in the morning...again. Gawd, what would he do without me--LMAO!

August, that's why I do premixes. See, if you do premixes you can technically say that you've done the whole workout because in fact, you would have done that whole premix. Sheer genius, don't 'cha think?

Oh geez, you're out of food!? Excuse me...I see you do have a huge supply of oatmeal--LMAO! *GASP* How old is that oatmeal? Haven't you had that for like eons? (I was just remembering Dana's little infestation problem). Open the package very carefully :p.

By all means, I think you should get a kitty :+

And please join me in my cardio challenge!! Yes, it's a Christi free zone. These audio workouts are made especially for cardio machines and running or walking. Oh hey, you could use it to walk yourself over to the Krispy Kreme shop. Now there's an idea:7 ! And sorry, I didn't mean to keep a secret. I was afraid y'all would ridicule me--LMAO!

Jen, it's nice to "meet" you. I'm in Ohio--not too terribly far from IL. We used to have long haired dachshunds that we got from someone in IL. I love animals, too, but I never click on animal threads anymore. Any time there's a thread topic about a cat or a dog that looks remotely depressing I pass it by. I can't and don't want to read sad abuse stories about doggies and kitties;) .

Robin, Dana, Deb, Diane, Kate (where are you Kate?), and anyone else--have a great day and I'll check in later today:*

ETA...Dana, you can buy Cardio Coach workouts on CD, too:) . I bought all mine on CD and then when I got an iPod I just put them on there. It's nice because I have the CD's for a backup if anything happens to my iPod.

Hi ladies!

Not too much going on here. It is snowing :( I drove the Explorer to work today b/c I thought I better use a 4-wheel drive. I'm terrified to drive in this weather. And to think that I've got quite a journey home. You should see the hills/mountains I"ve got to go on, not fun!

No w/o for me last night. I did however walk about .5 of a mile. HA!!! I took Gannon for a walk last night while Gabe had his class and I let him walk rather then take a stroller. So it took about 30 minutes for him to walk that distance but that is pretty far for a little guy like him. I thought that the cold air and the walk would have tired him out. Not so - he had more energy (if that is even possible) then normal and was up later. :(

Diane - how is Sydney? I've been thinking about you.

August you are funny! No food in the house? Does your mom keep her place stocked? If so, just go over there. LOL You are going to get a kitty, I know it. If you are reading a book on kitten care you are definitely going to get one soon!!!! If it isn't too personal to ask, how old are you? I thought, actually just assumed, that you were in your early 20's but you said you graduated from College and have been living there 15 years. What college did you attend? DP??? What kind of plant do you have? My DP just died the other day. Gabe & Jasmine killed my aloe which I have had for over 7 years. I seriously was very upset and was almost crying. DH thought I was being too dramatic.

Jen - thanks for the getting to know you post! I'm pretty boring. Lived in Pa my entire life. I lived w/my parents til I was 23, moved in w/a girl friend from 23-25 which was a blast! That was the partytime of my life. Met my DH when I was 25 and we were married when I was 27. I have 2 sons (Gabe is 5 and Gannon is 15 months). I work as an administrative assistant for a school district in the special education department. I have the best boss anyone could ask for, nice co-workers, but the pay sucks!!! I love animals but all we have is a beta fish, JimmyLarry, who we've had for 2+ years. I'm hoping to get a dog this summer. I've always had dobermans. My parents used to breed them but stopped after I was born. Dobes are the only dogs that we have ever had. I want a boxer though.

Michele - are you trying to have me spend more money on Cardio Coach? I know you said that you love coach Sean but I don't have any cashola!!!!!

Robin - is it snowing in Williamsport? Stay safe!

Hi Deb, Kate & Jana. What are you all up to today?

I am making stir fry for me tonight. I got some cute mushrooms, they start with an E. What the heck kind are they? And snow peas, broccoli, scallions, water chestnuts and scallops. Should be yummy.

If you have time, here is where I've been looking at puppies, www.greenfieldpuppies.com Check out the bulldogs, they are adorable!!!

Have a wonderful day all!

:) :) :)

Just wanted to say morning to everyone! Have a super busy day today so won't be back on-line until tonight after my workout, doing Powerstrike 1 and Bun Shaper from beach body tonight. Last night was KPC and a 10 minute thigh toner. I wish Cathe would do another w/o like KPC, I like Kick Max too but not as well - if you do the blasts first then the combos then the leg drills it is better than as produced, think I'll have to add that one to my routine next week. Have a great day everyone & I'll be back tonight! :)

Hi ladies -

Sydney is better!!! We finally witnessed her eat and drink yesterday and she hasn't thrown up again. And she is very playful and acting like her old self. Sadie still hissed at her a lot though, but I think they might have finally made friends again just 30 seconds ago on top of a bookshelf. You could tell poor Sydney wanted to play with her sister and would walk up to her, but Sadie would hiss and run away.

August - What?! Out of food? That sounds terrible. Looks like you were able to get together a good breakfast.

Michele - Are you betraying us with this cardio challenge? j/k. Sounds like fun.

Dana - I would be so scared to drive in the snow. Houston just shuts down if there is ice and snow because no one is used to it here.

Hi Jen, thanks for introducing yourself more completely. Some people here know me quite well, but for those who don't: I'm 51, have been married for 30 years this May to a great, fun guy. I have 2 kids. Tristan is 21, has Prader Willi Syndrome and after a 4 year long and very expensive legal battle with the county, moved into a group home with others with his syndrome. He is doing great, has lost weight, has a job, a girlfriend, and a life. My daughter, Emily, is 19 and just had a baby, Greyor. She and the baby's dad are in college, so they all live part time with us. Greyor was born with some pretty severe brain damage (no one knows why) and we are waiting to see what kind of effects there may be. We live in central PA (close to Dana, who I havn't met yet). I am a microbiologist in a hospital lab. I love Jimmy Buffett's music, beaches, Palm trees, reading, cats, cooking and eating, wine, and riding in my husband's sports cars. Enough?

Robin I did not know that you are a microbiologist! Wow!!!!

I also did not know that Tristen has a g/f. I'm so glad that the move has made such a positive impact on his life, that is wonderful.

Okay ladies, I have a little bit of news. I have been wanting to tell you for a few days but needed confirmation first...

I am pregnant!!! :D :D :D :D :D

I got the blood test results back today and I am indeed pregnant and the hormone levels are doubling like they should be. It is still very early, around 5 weeks, but I just needed to tell someone! I have only told one good friend so far, but it is hard not to share the news with everyone yet. I am telling my family after my first appointment which is in a couple weeks. We should get an u/s picture at that time and I am planning on sending them the u/s picture in a baby frame to let them find out.

Anyway, I will obviously be adjusting my workouts so won't be doing any Cathe for a little while. I should get a prenatal workout in the mail today from netflix so I will get started on those and walking.

WOW!! CONGRATS Diane!!! :)

Robin - Wow, sorry to hear about poor baby Gregor, that is sad but sounds like he is surrounded with love so he is very lucky. FYI, I love Jimmy Buffet also, only been to see him once though but have the whole collection of CD's.

Okay, really have to get back to work & will bbl after w/o tonight!

Jen - Thanks for the background info. I am also an animal lover.

I guess I could just a little more info about me since I haven't been on the boards as much lately and don't know everyone as well as I used to.

I live in Houston, Texas and I have been married for a little over a year to my DH Michael. I am 25 and work as a lawyer for a large law firm doing commercial litigation. I have worked here a little over two years. I graduated from undergrad 2 years early and that is why I am pretty young to be a 3rd year lawyer. We have two cats, Sydney and Sadie. I like to workout but I haven't been working out regulary in a while because of lack of sleep and too much work and plain lack of discipline ;-) I started doing the ETL program a few weeks ago and it is going well so far. I can't really think of anything else!

Diane, I have a cousin who is a lawyer in Houston TX. You must know him, there can only be a few, right?LOL. Actually, I think he works for a oil company and has been relocated to Guatemala for the last year or two. If you are interested, I'll PM you his name.

Thanks everyone. DH and I are just so excited! I am just starving all the time too. I ate a ton today at lunch and still could eat some more. So I guess I need to start working out more to work off that food.

Tonight I should get Buff-Moms-to-Be workout in the mail so I will probably try to do some of that tonight.

First off let me say to Diane, CONGRATULATIONS!! I'm so happy for you and Michael. You'll have to keep us up to date with everything.

I really haven't read the thread. I've had quite a busy day and just recently returned home. I went to the eye doctor and you won't believe what my problem is!! A suture from way back when I had surgery...we're talking YEARS ago...worked it's way through my eye and was scraping against my cornea. The doctor said my cornea is absolutely raw  . The sutures were supposed to disintegrate over time but once in awhile you'll get one that doesn't. Anyway, my vision was so bad today that I thought I better call for an appointment. My vision, which was 20/20 with my glasses on at my last appt, was 20/50 today. So the doctor numbed my eye and removed the suture. I have to put this gel in my eye every 3 hours for 2 weeks and then have it checked again. At least I know why my eye has been aching and sensitive to light. The computer screen is another source of irritation so I probably shouldn't spend much time on the forums--at least for a few days. The good news is my eye will be fine, thank goodness.

Okay, I need to go. I'm going to close my eyes and rest and wait for DH to call for a ride home. I'll see you later, or maybe not until tomorrow. I'm going to limit my computer time for now.
:* :* :*

OMG....what is this I hear.....I swear I take a break for a few weeks and I come back to all this excitement! Congrats Diane!!! WOW!!!

http://bestsmileys.com/excited/2.gif

Wow..OMG...that is really great news! Welcome to the crazy world of being preggo. It's never a dull moment, that is for sure!

Ok, so Michele, did not read about your eye (ok I had to skip some stuff short on time)..but whatever it is {{{{hugs}}}} you get better!

So, my life, well nuts as usual. My DH and I finally agreed to sell this place (yeah I know we just bought this house a year ago), but we decided it is just not worth it to live this far out and sit in traffic so much. We finally agreed to go back to where we were living by this summer if we can find a house. Key phrase is "find a house", this is going to be an interesting search for sure. Work is really busy right now and so far we are on track to have a large 1st quarter profit. Over 37% higher than 1st quarter last year!!! I have been cracking the whip what can I say! I am really excited and it means a big bonus to me soon!! I have not had to travel too much, but will be leaving to Portland on Tuesday and then to Vegas in Feb for a few days. My child is growing like a weed! She is soooo cute!

Dana-I know you can relate. I bet Gannon is just as cute as can be! This age is a lot of fun. Marley gets into everything and is just the life of the party! Never a dull moment. I think I read you said you had to get up at 4 ish to work out, I am right behind you at 5:00. You would be surprised I actually like to get up that early and have "time" to myself! It's peaceful! haha!

Michele-How are you? I miss you guys a lot! Are you still cheating on us with your cardio coach? I know how much you just llloooovvveeeddddd his voice! haha! It made you WANT to do cardio! That guy must have some voice.......

August-Ok, so let's see purple sweet pot's is where we left off last time. What new "item" of the week have you come up with lately? I am interested in this. Oh you are from Portland right? How is it up there? I have never been there, and it's a short trip, but I am excited to go there.

Ok, well as I stated above I am short on time. I just had a few mins to myself and wanted to say HI to everyone!

Hello to everyone else!!!

Big cyber hugs to everyone!
