HATE - Jan 24

August

Cathlete
Hello there!

I had Gin Miller's Intense Moves on my schedule today, so I did Christi's Still Stepping LOL. And I got so caught up enjoying all the posts that I suddenly realized I'd run out of time to do my add-on abs! Honest. I'm not just skipping them.

I'm not.

Have a great day! I'm off!

Jeanette - I don't know if you're reading this, but it's great to "see" you again! And what nice things you wrote. I totally understand about posting on several threads and how much time it takes. You need to be concentrating on your P90X and pick up tips from others doing that. When you finish up your P90X rotation and feel like visiting Cardiohatesville, we'll be here!

Which isn't to say that you, Deb, should leave us in February LOL.

And hey, I saw your progress photos. Zeow! You are totally tone! You...you have no pooch! Congratulations!!

As for the sweet potato truck, you know, these last couple months I've been so busy that I haven't seen or heard it! Lucky for me that I found a place that sells them frozen. And they are so good. Soooo good. I hope you're in your eating phase of P90X where you can eat sweet potatoes every day.

Robin - Thank you for your kind words! I'm glad you enjoyed the cuteoverload site. I really can't call my smoothie a plain ol' drink. What it really is is thick soft-serve, and I eat it with a spoon. This post-workout ice cream really hits the sweet spot..I was cracking up at your coffee thing. If they were givin' it for free once, I mean, c'mon! There's a muffin place at the airport where I always went to have a muffin pre-flight that offered free coffee, but then they started charging for it. Heh, I haven't had a muffin there since, as cheap as I may sound.

Jen - Hope you had a nice dinner with your mom and sis! Mmm, TGI!

Diane - Poor Sydney! I'm glad to hear there's nothing in her stomach that shouldn't be there, but not knowing why she was sick is an awful feeling! Hopefully whatever it is is now out of her system. I hope she'll feel all better...It sounds like ETL has really been going great for you and your DH. You make it tempting! I know you're eating as little animal product as possible, are you also eating no whites?

Deb - LMAO, are you still trying to incorporate your GS?!...So what are you passionate about (besides Gym Style, of course LOL)? What would be your dream job?

>My girls laugh at me when I squish up my stomach and make it talk

LMAO.

Michele - Did you say that you needed some help figuring out your raw brownie mix? If you did, feel free to ask me. In the meantime, I'll keep my fingers crossed that your computer was just having a bad morning.....Are you feeling all better now? The neck? The eye?

>and I'll address each of you by name

LMAO.

Dana - Your dream job sounds so heartwarming. I'd bet you'd be great at helping animals. What kind of job were you doing with your cosmetology license? What was it that you didn't like?...I hope you feel better soon....Gabe - totally cute!

:* :* :*

Good morning August and all!

It's currently 2 AM and I can't sleep...but at least my computer is working--LMAO. (I wish there was a crossed eyed smilie).

So I called the geeky computer guy and he thinks I may have had a power surge. My computer seems to be working fine now, so I'm holding my breath and saying a prayer that this sucker will hang on for awhile longer. I probably ought to buy a new surge protector, though;).

August, LMAO at you for doing Christi on a Gin Miller day :7 . Your Christi joy is infectious and I wonder how many people have tried her workouts based on your all out enthusiasm? Christi should feature you in some promotional ad or something. I still think you should do up some music for her. It would be so totally cool to workout to your music. Oh, and I'm sure your abs got a little bit of a workout anyway.

Since you asked (because I wasn't going to talk about myself this morning), my neck is much better, but my vision is blurry so I need to call the doctor ;(. And that colonoscopy that I was hoping they'd forget about...they didn't forget...I go next Tuesday;(.

Mmmmmmmmm...raw brownie mix.....YUM-O! I don't need any help with that. LMAO

I've been checking out cuteoverload.com ever since you first posted the link. I LOVE it :+ .

Jeanette, I'm so glad you popped in for a sec--what a nice treat! You're making it very hard for me to NOT buy P90X--lol! --I totally understand about how hard it is to post in multiple threads. I post in 2 regularly and it's all I can do to keep up with it. You're always welcome anytime you want to stop by and say hello:).

Robin, I don't blame you one bit for making your own coffee at work. I mean sheesh! The least they can do is give you a friggin cup of coffee! My DH has a whole little coffee set up in his office complete with a coffee maker, grinder, and whole beans. He's a real coffee snob--LMAO! --Yes, he made it home but he's just beat. The good thing is they settled out of court so he won't have to go back on Friday:) . Oh, that attorney apologized profusely. I thought I better mention it after all my harping on the issue.:p

Jen, I hope you had a nice evening out with your mom and sister. It's so nice that you all are close. I miss my sister quite a bit--she lives about 3 hours away. Your kitty stories make me smile:). I hope the 2 of them make nice with each other--lol!

Diane, I hope your kitty made it through the night without any problems. They're just like children, aren't they? I hope you got some sleep, too.

Deb, what do you think of CTX? I'm trying to build up my Cathe library and I was wondering if I should get that one. The idea that it doesn't have too much cardio is very appealing to me:p . --I almost spewd my drink reading about your talking tummy:7 . --As for what I do, I'm a retired RN who stays home now to care for her kitty and DH. I've thought many times that I should find another job but honestly, I have so many self imposed limitations as far as the hours I would be willing to work that nobody in their right mind would hire me. I've done some volunteer work in the past and I've been kind of keeping an eye out for something interesting in that realm. It's hard finding something that's a good fit for me. Good luck on your job search and keep us posted. You have a great personality and anyone would be lucky to have you on their staff.

Dana, I hope you're feeling better! Headaches--UGH! They're so debilitating. It sounds like you may have had a migraine. Migraines can definitely make you sick to your stomach...to the point of vomiting. Hopefully a good nights sleep will help to alleviate it. Well crap, you haven't had a full nights sleep in TWO years:eek:. No wonder you have a headache! Seriously, lack of sleep can trigger a migraine, as can a lack of adequate food, and even certain foods. You should do a search on migraine triggers and see if anything rings a bell. --Kids say the darnedest things--lol! And I was totally LOL about kissing the TV. When I was a little girl I remember kissing the TV when Dr Kildare (Richard Chamberlain) was on--LMAO!

Holy cow, it took me an HOUR to type this! Well hell, I guess I could never get a job as an administrative assistant--LMAO!

G'night :* :* :*

Good morning August & Michelle & all that follow today!

August - dinner was great, jack daniels chicken - yum!

Michelle- I love being close with my Mom & sister, it is great. My sister is 8 years younger than me (has different dad) so we never fought or anything like that, just alwasys been close & get closer as the years go on. She just turned 21 & is an amazing girl-going to UofI in Champaign, a junior & works at Outback Steakhouse like 4 times a week so she a full schedule.

Well I've got to get going to work, don't really have time at work to get on-line so mornings & evenings are the only time I can post- so, I will be back tonight after my workouts, around 7PM.

Hope EVERYONE has a FANTASTIC DAY!

Oh and BTW the kitty is now on the computer desk watching the computer screen as the words are being typed and batting at them with his paw! The good news is though he is getting a little better with the mirror thing, now it's only half the time he tries to attack himself! TOO CUTE.

Okay, got to get to it.

See you all later! :)

Hi Ladies -

Sydney looks like she feels better, but she still hasn't eaten or drank since she got home. The vet said to bring her back in if she is not interested in food. The vet is not in until later this morning, so I will talk to her when she gets in and see what we should do. Sydney really seems fine, and Sadie hasn't eaten this morning either, so I would rather wait a little bit than pay another $700 on tests to find out nothing.

Good evening!

I just got home and went online and ordered 8 more bags of frozen sweet potatoes. No purple ones this time, though. :D

Michele - Are you sleeping like a good girl? I'm glad to hear your neck is all better. Is your vision thing from the previous eye thing?...I'm relieved to hear that your computer only had a power surge, whatever that is. It sounds cool. I mean, if you're gonna have a surge, it may as well be a powerful one, right?....Heheh, that would be pretty funny to workout to Christi with my music. That would be much better than featuring my sad-a$$ moves!...How great to hear that your DH ended up not having to go and testify after all!....Too bad your doctor didn't forget all the treatments you'll need to take. So will this be the first time you get poked in the third eye?

Jen - Jack Daniel's Chicken? That sounds yumbo! Okay, fess up. Did you have dessert? And if you did, tell us in detail, please :) LOL...You are totally going to make me get a kitten.

Diane - Any moves toward the food dish? (For anyone dropping by, this is in reference to her kitten LOL.)

All right. I'm off to beddie.

Have a good one!

The vet said to just watch her today (I may come home early from work to watch her tonight) and make sure she eats something and doesn't act sick. She went through several very stressful procedures, and I think the dye stuff they made her drink has her constipated. So she may just need a little time to adjust. But she seems happy, is playing with toys and bathing herself so I am trying not to get too worried yet.

Today I woke up to workout, got all dressed to go for a walk outside, and then saw that it was pouring rain. So I did some corework and floorwork and then got distracted by Sydney again.

Sadie is hissing at Sydney because she smells like the vet. This always happens after just one of them goes to the vet. They will be best friends again in a couple days. I am sure that Sadie's hissing is adding even more stress to Syd's life right now too.

Hey haters!

Diane - I hope that Sydney is back to herself soon. Yowza with the $1000 vet bill.

August - I get a kick out of you and your sweet potatoes. I hope that nothing happened to your old sweet tater man. You should get a kitty, then your mom could kittysit when you have to go out of town. I bet she would like that. Can you have pets in your apartment? You asked what I didn't like about the job I had in the salon??? Well, the owner was a major *B* and she told me that I could only do walk-ins (which she never had), if I answered the phone I always had to see if they wanted her first. All I did was take perm rods out from the perms she put in, ocassionaly she would let me wrap a perm, washed hair for her customers, swept/mopped the floor, did inventory, and washed and folded the towels. Yipee!!! I was only 18 and did not have my own car. My parents were not the type that would take me to work anywhere that would have inconvenienced them. So that pretty much ended my career in that field. I really have no desire to do it now and things have changed so much in the past 10+ years I would have to take classes, etc. So I"m doomed to sit at a desk I suppose. Sorry for the saga but you asked! :p Hey did you say that you saw pics of Deb? Where did you find those at?

Michele - what is this that I read that you are doing a cardio challenge??? You traitor (sp???)!!! What is up w/that? I'm hoping that I misread that. Have you worked out today? Wasn't sure if you were up to it. I don't even want to hear about your colonoscopy - sorry but no thanks!

Jen - that chicken sounds good. I saw a commerical for TGI Friday's where they were advertising deep fried green beans. YUK! What they won't deep fry these days! What is on your workout agenda for tonight?

Robin - what workout are you doing today? I forgot to ask my DH if he knew the guys you asked about yesterday. We are going to a racing banquet on Feb 17th. Oh joy!!! They are having it at a nice place though and also will have karaoke (which I won't do, I'll just enjoy myself watching all the drunks try to sing).

Deb - not too much longer til your official start date of P90X. I'm getting excited for you. How's the job search going?

Guess we lost Kate and Jana. Come back girlies!

I didn't get to workout last night b/c we had company until about 7:00 and then I had to clean up, help Gabe w/homework, bake cookies, etc. Tonight is another wasted night. I did walk 3.5 miles at lunch so at least I did something. So far, my eating has been good. I had a grapefruit for my morning snack. I couldn't tell you the last time I had a grapefruit. I was so juicy. Tonight I"m making haddock. I saw Rachael Ray doing a poached fish recipe so I am going to try to poach the darn thing. We'll see how that goes. Also making wild rice and some veggies. Of course, the boys at my house will want fries.

Have a great day everyone!

Robin we just posted at the same time. LOL

I saw that too. I can't believe my eyes. Who talked her into this? I don't think that the real Michele posted that. She must have been abducted by those cardio lovers and they are holding her hostage. She is being forced to do this so-called cardio challenge against her own free will.

Will the real Michele please come back?

>Psssst. Are you all aware that Michele is doing a Cardio
>Challenge thing on Saturday?

Big mouth:p . I wasn't going to tell anybody in here, for crying out loud. My reputation is completely destroyed now:eek: :7.

Yes, I'm doing a cardio challenge...well...it's not really a challenge, it's a fund raiser to benefit the Choose Living Foundation. I started a thread about it in the OD forum if anyone is interested. Basically, Coach Sean :)+) created an audio workout just for this event and he wants everyone to do it (the workout--get your minds out of the gutter) at 12 noon (in your own time zone) on Saturday, 1/27. Anybody care to join me? The workout is designed to be used with any cardio machine as well as walking or running.

August, I got about 2 hours of sleep and my butt is dragging. I don't have energy for anything today. I hope you slept/sleep well. I thought of you the other day when I downloaded a lullaby from iTunes (remember when I sang a cyber lullaby to you--lol). It's called Slumber My Darling by Stephen Foster. I just love Stephen Foster. My favorite version of the song was recorded by Mark O'Connor, Edgar Meyer, and Yo-Yo MA with Allison Krause on vocals (talk about an interesting mix of musicians!). They did an album together called Appalachian Journey. The song is hauntingly beautiful and brings a tear to my eye every time I hear it.

Diane, I know what you mean about the vet bills! I think my DH went into the wrong field of medicine--lol! I hope Sydney is hanging in there. It sounds like she's perking up!

Lunch...I must have lunch...NOW:7

Edited to give a shout out to Dana. Hi Dana!! No, it...it wasn't me. Somebody stole my forum ID and is posting lies:p

Gee Dana, you have an elliptical. Why don't you join me? :D :7

I don't have cardio coach my dear. How long is the workout for Saturday?

I KNEW that someone was logging in as you and spreading lies!

LOL Dana. Today is a kind of rest day on Cathe's rotation. All I plan on doing is a core max segment.

Anyone here going to join crazy Shelley (allwildgirl) in her Gym Style Challenge over the weekend? Not me.

Hey you guys--Michele- a cardio challenge- wooo wooo-you go girl

Dana- I wondered too if August saw pictures of me but then realized she was referring to Jeanette- hey August, where can we check pics of Jeanette out? (I just realized that it sounds like I'm admitting to pics of me on the internet, and ahem .. I have to say that as far as I know there are none! really! no, I mean it... (tee hee)

Jen- I want a kitty now....
Michele-thank you for the nice comments--

Robin-I saw your comment on another thread about some wine and I'm with you I love my 3 glasses/week- I'm a white wine drinker myself-i'd love to find a merlot that I'd like (I like sweeter wines)

as for the job search-I've just been applying to some clerical type of jobs. I'm thinking that I'd like to get with a temp agency to get training, etc. My dream job would involve doing some watercolor painting on a beach somewhere under a palm tree with a bottle of whatever sitting next to me and.....bbl--deb

I'm thinking about it. I wonder if there's been a shift in the tectonic plates of the earth's crust?

Dana, do you have an mp3 player? CC workouts can be downloaded off the internet in about a minute.

Popping in real quick from work...shh! :)

Auguest & Dana - The chicken was AWESOME, that is the only thing I ever get at Friday's! I was SOO good & didn't have dessert at all, salad w/ dressing on the side, chicken, green beans, and rice. I ate 1/2 the chicken & all the beans and a little rice -it wasn't that good.

August - Yes, you should get a kitten, they are SOO much fun!

Dana - tonight is KPC for me, I was thinking of adding something else on to it but decided against it I think. Tomorrow night I believe I am going to do Powerstrike 1 and a 30 minute bun routine (bun shaper from beach body). And have you ever tried the deep fried green beans? THEY ARE GOOD! I promise... not good for you by any means but they are good to eat, only had them twice I swear!

Diane - I am so glad the kitty is doing okay and forget the w/o today & hang with the kitty & give her lots of love. The w/o will be there to do tomorrow! Still saying prayers for you & Sydney.

Robin - Thanks for the "Breaking News" on Michele's cardio challenge. :)

Michelle - You are BUSTED! Trying to figure out your punishment!

Deb - Kitty, kitty, kitty... it's calling you! I am going to get you & August to get a kitty, it's my mission!

Well, back to work now... will be back on-line tonight after KPC, around 7ish CST! Talk later!
:)

LOL @Robin.

Nope, not doing Shelley's GS rotation, unless of course I can do BSB 3x in a row. That I would like!!!

Michele - I don't have a mp3 player. I only have an old portable CD player which is gray and the headphones are bright yellow b/c I swiped them from Gabe's CD player for kids. I"m a dork.

Deb - here I thought you were posting pics of yourself online. HA!!!! My pics will NEVER be on the net. No way, no how! The only thing I would even consider putting on my picture trail would be a headshot, nothing showing the flabby old bod. No thanks!!!!

Only 10 more minutes til quitting time. Thank God! My co-worker is having her baby tomorrow. They are inducing her (at 7:30am I believe). She is having a little girl, Emilee Mary-Elizabeth.

Have a good night all! :)

Well heck, I just wrote a long reply to everyone with many pithy and insightful remarks. Some how it never got posted. Sigh. Well, I did Core Max 3. Goodnight.

Robin - Don't you hate it when that happens? I did that the other day & my computer did some strange thing & wouldn't post it, I was SO mad!

So, what do you are you girls do for a living & live? Just curious!

A little about me: (or maybe alot, LOL)

I live in Springfield, IL - have lived here for about 10 years, moved here from my home town of Raymond, IL when I was 20 - I will be 30 this year. The town I grew up in was 950 people, my graduating class had 42 people in it. I was born on Friday the 13th of May and 13 has always been my lucky number (hence the JenL13 name). I love cats the most but have a better connections with animals than I do people I think! My parents divorced when I was 2, have one older brother Jeff who is 31. Then my mom got remarried and had my little sister Diana who just turned 21 & my dad got remarried & had 2 children-Courtney who is 16 & Tyler who is 13. I work for Wells Fargo Home Mortgage and have since I was 20. I am in sales for them & work daily with mortgage brokers trying to get loans from them...the pay is good but very stressful at times. I am single & bought my first home 3 years ago. Oh, and last but not least I have an obsession with working out and love it.... except cardio, which I HATE!

Probably more than you cared to know but thought I would share! :)
