Hi guys!
Well, I had the most crappy sleep last night, and yet woke up after only 4 hours of sleep feeling perky, met my friend for brunch, came back and did Christi's Still Stepping (I was supposed to lift today, but in celebration of Christi, well, I just had to switch LOL), and had a fantastic workout. Funny what a little cold can do for you! Yesterday and this morning I took some Japanese (or actually, I guess it's Chinese) herbal medicine which you can take when you think you might be catching a cold (I'm one of those weirdos who don't like to take real medicine). I've had really good luck with the herbal stuff if I drink it early enough. I wonder if it helped?
Well whatever it is, I feel great, and I was jamming on my step!
And I had my green smoothie and it was delish. Really, guys, I totally do NOT taste the mustard spinach in it, and I'm putting like two cups in. I can't say the smoothie LOOKS all that appetizing LOL, but it sure tastes devine.
And I just have to add....you all just need to buy all the Christi you can get your hands on LOL. Really, that woman is awesome. Sometimes when I get a hard move down I feel like I'm going to cry I'm so happy LMAO. And when I get the whole routine down, look out!!
Deb - I cracked up reading about you contemplating making another mustard greens smoothie. Those mustard greens ain't cheap! Well at least not in Japan. In salads a little goes a long way, too. I'm so tempted to try out your rotation for next month. Deb's Belly-Blaster Rotation! I do want to do some heavy lifting next month. Are your abs add-ons like a Core Max section?
Michele - So even though I'm feeling better, can I still be on the couch with my Nintendo? Actually, I've got so much to do this month. I'd better make it just a half hour with my Nintendo LOL. I'll bet there are a lot of choices for blenders in the States. I'm glad there weren't a ton of choices for me - I pretty much just chose the cheapest one that still looked cool enough to have displayed in my teeny kitchen.
WTF?! They STILL have glazed pumpkin spice donuts?! LMAO that I had to ask you what flavor it was without your giving out the info on your own!! You sneak! Trying to hide that very important info from us, hmhmhmmm?!
You haven't tried mustard greens, either, Michele? They're supposed to be ultra wonderful for you health. If you ever try mustard greens, you will really get the full amusement in thinking about Deb driving in her car sipping a smoothie full of it. They are really potent and spicy! Think spicy Dijon-flavored lettuce, heavy on the Dijon.
Robin - It would be hard to sneak in mustard greens anywhere. Even in a salad! OhooooOoOOoOOohh, PB&J sandwich. How yummy. Have you tried replacing the jam/jelly with slices of banana? OhohoOOoooOh. That rings my bell! Actually, I think I mentioned I've been eating a banana with organic peanut butter on it like every day. It's sort of become a problem LOL. And it ain't no teaspoon worth.
Kate - LMAO. Good gawd, you are doing Butts & Guts like every other day, aren't you?!
Jeanette - Yes, your protein drink sounds like a nice recovery drink! At some point though, you must try putting in just a couple leaves into your smoothie. You'll be shocked that you can't taste it! I like Michele's suggestion about baby spinach leaves. I'll bet you can't taste them at all. OMG! I totally forgot that I have to steal sugar packets! Thank you for reminding me!! Have a wonderful celebration for you mother (the cake sounds delicious!)!
All right. I'd better get to my Nintendo so that I can do some work.
I'll be out of town for a couple days from tomorrow, so don't worry that I may have fallen ill or fallen obsessed with my games.
Later!
