Hiya!

Wow, the posts were jumping yesterday! I got all excited reading up. LOL.

Yeah to Christi! Yeah to Chrisit! (Thanks for the link, Michele!)

Sorry I was out yesterday. I did........Christi. LOL.

Today was my off day so I did some yoga.

Let's see here..................

Robin - Healthy snacks...healthy late-night snacks....at one point I was eating green beans. Yeah. I know. How about a scoop of organic peanut butter? Or is that dangerous? A cup of milk/soymilk?

Michele - My blender is totally cheap. Totally. It's the 2nd one of the same one I broke last year, but it's so cheap, who cares! I know what you mean about chunks of ice. Hate that. I don't actually use ice in my smoothies anymore since I use frozen berries and bananas, and they do the soft-serve trick. That's great that you love your Nano! I really loved my iPod when I got it. Now I don't go anywhere without it. It's just so great to have all your music with you wherever you go. Oh no! You didn't sleep well last night? Well good news for you, I slept really, really well last night (because I hadn't slept very well for the past number of days LOL). I'll keep my fingers crossed for good sleepin tonight! Oh, if you're going to try out protein powder in your barley or oats, be careful and go slow. That stuff can taste down-right disgusting if you don't put the right amount.................urmmmrmm...........okay. What kind of donut did you eat. Tell me.

Kate - Every time I see your username I think it says "Milkdork." Haha. You traded the TLTs THREE times?!

Dana - I found my TLT rotation on the open forum I think. It's got TLT, Christi and Cathe in it, so I'm a very happy camper! You MUST try the smoothie!! Just don't try it as Deb tried it LOL. When I said I use mustard spinach, she usd mustard greens. Yeow! I'm putting in almost two cups of mustard spinach and I literally taste no greens whatsoever. The weirdest combo of things in my smoothie? Geez, now you make me want to figure something wacky out! I guess this is the strangest combo, but it's totally yummy. Actually, pizza rolls and sugar cereal together doesn't sound so bad LOL. Ooh, and hey, awesome on the calves DOMS. Love calves DOMS.

Jeanette - LOL about the melted truffles! Totally laughed at Michele's quip about the lab accident.

Diane - That's so great that Tiffany's fixed your ring free of charge.

Deb - From what I read about barley, you don't have to soak it. Ahh, the magic of barley. Then again, barley is supposed to take an hour to make, and mine takes like ten minutes. I think it's 1/4 cup to 1 cup water? Ugh, I can't find my notes about it (LOL, you'd think I could remember such a basic instruction, but I make a bunch and freeze it, so I rarely actually make it!). If it's fine, it might cook more quickly, so maybe you could just dump some with water in a pot and hover over it while you stir it and watch the water evaporate? Did I tell you that I'm a culinary pro? LMAO. That is such great news about extra cardio w/GS. Maybe I should try that out next month. Oh yeah, you must be able to find a good green that doesn't have quite the kick as mustard greens (smirk smirk). Oh, hey, if you're going to be doing some extra cardio for Robin, could you do some for me, too?

Any of you guys know what might make a good leaf for Deb to put in her smoothie? Dark lettuce has lots of nutrients and a very light taste. I bet you could put that in and not taste it at all. Is there a more nutrient-dense leaf that has a light taste?

OMG, I would so love it if any of you guys would come visit Tokyo. That would be sooo fun.

Oh gosh, I am so late now LOL.

Later!

I'm back from work. About an hour into being out of my apartment, I started to feel like I'm coming down with something.

Goes to show you that I belong indoors.

Kate, is my down jumpsuit almost ready? :)

I'm going to try to get to bed early. Michele. (;) )

Jeanette - I've always wondered...what does KK stand for? Another question : Is there such thing as a "heaping teaspoon"?! Isn't that like saying an "enormous dab"? LOL.

Morning Chicas-- August-I am actually thinking about adding some mustard greens to my smoothie today (LOL) seriously-my husband won't eat it and I don't want it to go to waste-I'll let you know if I do--

Michelle- I'm not doing the Dec. rotation but something (not structured) that I've come up with on my own-GS each workout-once a week and cardio (jump roping & Gin Miller Intense Moves HIIT and elliptical) 5 ish times a week and abs 2xweek--and I also drink the protein pwder from Walmart that Jeanette does and I like it alot-

Dana- thats great that you guys do that smelly sneaker challenge-sounds like fun--

Hi to everyone else and talk to you later--deb

Good morning!!

August, oh no! I hope you're not coming down with something. I'll nag Kate about that down jumpsuit but, in the meantime, I think you better drink lots of tea and water and sack out on the couch with your Nintendo. Maybe you should throw another handful of mustard spinach into your smoothie. --I'm driving myself crazy trying to pick out a blender. Having too many choices is NOT a good thing for me. I tend to get bogged down in the details and then paralyzed by indecision--lol!

The donut...I asked for a plain glazed but they gave me...are you ready?...they gave me a ...PUMPKIN SPICE GLAZED!!! Egad--I thought they were done with those! This does not bode well for me  ;(

Deb, thanks for the w/o details. I'm not sure I understand how you're using GS. Are you doing a GS once a week, or are you doing one of them with every w/o? --Once you finish up with your mustard greens you should try plain old baby spinach in your smoothies. Baby spinach is pretty mild. I have never tried mustard greens so I have no clue what to do with them. --Now I'm going to have to go to WalMart and get some protein powder--lol!

Jeanette, it's so wonderful that you and Susan are getting together! I always enjoy her posts and the pictures of her doggies. I had forgotten but I do recall her posting about cycling. Do you live near each other? I think it would be such a blast if us haters could figure out a way to have a GTG!

Diane, I'm glad you got your diamond back. I'm glad you're getting the watch. It's always so nice when our DH's are in agreement about such things. I'm looking forward to when you can play with us again. I've been missing you and Jana!

Dana, how are your calves today? Were you able to do GS SBB last night? Did you get that snow? The snow and ice we had yesterday is gone but it's bitterly cold here this morning with a temp of 9 degrees. It's a beautiful sunny day, though. --I agree with Deb, your smelly sneaker challenge sounds like a hoot! --You know, I couldn't remember when we started this check-in so I tried to do a search and I think the first official day of it was March 14, 2006. This is my favorite thread, this and the <--- thread. You girls are THE BEST and you have a special place in my heart:+

Robin, how'd you fare last night? Were you able to avoid the 9 PM attack of the munchies? I was ROTFLMAO when you started that thread with my name on it. I'm not used to seeing my name as a thread title. So do you have to work today? I hope you have the weekend off at least.

Yikes! I need to get a move on. I have a very messy, dusty house that requires my attention and I haven't had breakfast yet. I want to squeeze in another good elliptical w/o, too. I did an hour last night while watching a Christi DVD:7

Hello to anyone who checks in after me or while I was posting this. I'll BBL:*

Hi Michele- I use each GS once a week (so 3 weight w/o/1 body part per week) and I also do cardio before each weight w/o and extra on the other 3-4 days and abs--deb

Howdy all you haters.

August, I'm with Michele in that you take good care of yourself. I hope you get another good night's sleep.

Deb, I think I'd just let the greens go to waste. Can you add them to a salad without anyone noticing?

Milkdork? I'd rather be a chocolatedork.

Michele, I did a little better last night. I grazed most of the evening, but it was healthy grazing. Moving all my meals back seemed to help a lot. But it feels sinful to eat a PB&J sammich at 9 pm. Only one more day of this endless week. The weekend is filled with more cookie baking.

I got my presents wrapped this morning. Then I did Step and Intervals and chest work from CTX. Greyor's dad is doing a wonderful job of babysitting, so I've had my morning pretty free.

See you all later. Bye.

Robin- say that again-you got your presents wrapped already-wow- you are my inspiration-you go girl--deb

I am just a regular old dork. I did that blasted, I cannot remember the name of it now....oh yeah drill max. For cardio, it is good. I didn't say it is great cardio, because that is not possible. But if one has to do cardio, this is the one
I did Butts and Guts yesterday again. And I am sore. That is the best lower body workout. I hate every moment of it.

I am a dork. I get on the computer and immediately the kids start killing each other.

Hi all,
Today was P90X Legs & Back and then AbX. Great workout. I BROUGHT IT! I was feeling pretty proud of myself too that I installed a DVD drive in my computer. It had a CD burner that didn't work any more. This computer is about 5 years old. I probably need to upgrade and will sometime soon, but in the meantime thought it would be good to be able to play a P90X workout (like AbX) in my computer room so as not to hog the TV from my husband in the evenings. Okay, enough of that.

I did, however, make a recovery drink after my workout today. I remembered that I had this little hand blender that I've never used so I got it out, mixed a spoonful of Walmart vanilla whey protein, 8 oz. of fat free milk, dab of peanut butter (yes it was a dab and not a dollop), along with 1/2 of a banana. It was delish!! I was trying to savor it while I caught up on reading this forum but ended up guzzling it down. Is that what you guys would consider a recovery drink? I like greens and things, but not in my sweet drinks. Not even in barley would I put greens.

I had tons of stuff to do and did some of it. I had this appointment with a financial advisor guy and the meeting ran long. He was explaining asset allocations and investments and all these words and my eyes were glazing over and all I could think about was that I had to get home and make a cake for my mom's birthday party tomorrow. You know where my priorities lie, huh? Anyway, I got away from him and got the cake done too. Whew!!

DH and I are getting ready to go to his company party tonite. Should be fun. Tomorrow will be about going out and cutting a Christmas tree with family. Think the snow won't really come in until Sunday so we should be okay.

Yeah to Christi too! I miss doing her workouts but I'm sure I'll be back after the 90 days are up.

August, wish we could all board a plane and go to Tokyo. Think it would be a blast. We could go to a restaurant with real little packets of sugar... I sure hope you aren't coming down with something. Keep thinking positive thoughts, tell yourself it's allergies, whatever works.

Deb, think what you are doing rotation wise is good. HIIT is pretty tough, isn't it? A real heart thumper?

Michele, I can't believe it about the pumpkin donut. It's almost like it's fate, huh? Hope you are satisfied now and the cravings will leave. Susan lives in Cheyenne, Wyoming and I live near Reno, Nevada (on the California side of the border, Reno's just the nearest big town and I'll fly out of there). Think it will be fun. I'm looking forward to meeting her dogs and birds too.

Robin, glad you are doing the healthy eating thing. I didn't do so well today as I made an apple cake for my mom. Have a party tonite but I'll try to be good somehow. Got your presents wrapped? I haven't even shopped much or gotten the tree or decorated or anything.

Kate, I like Butts & Guts. It really gets me good. Love the firewalkers cuz they get me right where I'd like to have lipo. Oh and I like dark.

Must go party down now.

Jeanette
