HATE - Aug 23

August

Cathlete
Good morning!

So I'm up and ready to do my workout but I want to wait for the delivery guy to bring my kitty stuff by noon.....then he doesn't come! I wait until 12:30pm, then I call, and now he's bringing it by 2pm. So then I get hungry, and eat a bit...and now it's 2pm and he hasn't called!

All on the start of my new rotation! The nerve!

LMAO.

All right. I'm going to get the delivery, then run my errands for Mom's return, THEN I'll do Buns & Butts or whatever that TLT is called LOL.

I mean, YAY!

Have a great one!

MICHELE - Yeah, I can't tell you how awesome light remote controls are. They click in levels - bright, regular and very dim. Ahh, luxury.

That river story sounded absolutely awful!

The cat rules totally cracked me up!! I love the door one and of course the barf one! I copied it and sent it to my brother.

DIANE - Oh yeah, I've heard all sorts of great things about those milk bottle tops. Japan doesn't have those kinds of cartons, bummer as it is. You'd think that if those things were hazards for babies that they'd be hazards for kitties, too. Speaking of which, I noticed that somebody chewed off the tail to a fur mouse toy...and I can't find the tail. I hope nobody ate it.

SHELLEY - Hi! I checked my calendar and now our Aunts are a bit off schedule. Unless you start to get emails from her quite early?

ROBIN - Hi!

>I'll be watching the river for little boys.

LMAO! That sounds like part of an evil bedtime story!

I'm glad to hear that your mother is enjoying her new dwellings. I can only imagine all the feelings you and your family are going through. Once your mother settles in, really settles in, I'll bet it will be totally fun. That's so wonderful of you and your sister to make sure it's so comfortable for her. I'm sure she's grateful.

>Now I'm home alone (I can't remember when that last happened) and it's kind of spooky

LOL, once, as an adult, I went home to Oregon and ended up spending a couple nights alone in my parents' house for the first time in my life. I didn't think it would be a big deal and so I went on with my day. I saw a friend and went to see a movie and then went home...except that I made the mistake of seeing a scary movie (they usually don't scare me), and although this movie totally didn't scare me, as soon as it got dark, I found myself feeling spooked. In fact, my bed frame spooked me LOL.

That's great about Tristan's being able to meet and speak with such a well-known doctor. I hope you were able to get some good info from him.

JENNIFER - Glad to hear your father continues to be getting better. And woo hoo for your party! What is a "Match"?

How wild that the only people you know dating are ones who met online!

JEN - I wonder what's going on with your appetite? Has this happened before? It's been hot here (IT'S BEEN 48 YEARS SINCE JAPAN HAS BEEN THIS HOT LMAO), so my appetite has been a little weird, too, so I can kind of see where you're coming from, especially since you're so sensitive to the heat (and I'm not particularly sensitive to it). But I do hope that you'll try to force yourself to eat a little more actual food than you've been eating. It really can't be good for you to be eating so poorly for so long.

Yes, Mom gets back on Friday and she's so excited to see me NOT. LOL. All she's excited about are her kitties, of course! And that's good with me. She says she keeps looking at the little scars all over her legs and reminisces about them playing and running and scratching her, and dangling from the bottom of her robe LMAO.

>of course I don't have kids & can't raise normal cats so I have no clue really!

LMAO!!

You know, DANA, I think you've gotten advice from all the Haters who have no children now LOL. Yeah, yeah, make Gabe do chores and then force him to swim in a dirty, muggy river while you tell him how it scares you! LOL! That'll teach him good!

Oh good, the delivery finally came. I'm out to run my errands, then do my butt, then I'll be back to relax and sort through emoticons. :p

Later!

>I won't be around Saturday or Sunday, so why on earth am I even bothering to start tomorrow LOL.

This was the sentence of mine that did me in.........somehow I thought today would be Friday. But it's actually Thursday.

So Dana and Michele, as originally planned, let's start Monday.

:)

Good morning!!

DH just left for work, the cat puke has been cleaned off the steps, and I finally have my coffee -- life is good -- except for my poor nephew;( . I had NO IDEA about the flooding in Ohio. I've been intentionally trying to cut back on the news because it thrusts me into a state of despair and depression (okay, that's a little melodramatic:p), so I totally missed the freaking flood in Ohio! I mean, we're in the midst of a drought where I live. Thankfully, my immediate family is fine -- I still don't have news about a couple of my aunts -- but my poor nephew's office is flooded. I'm not sure how much damage he incurred. I hope all he has to do is rip up the carpet. He couldn't get to his office yesterday because the roads were closed to traffic. Gosh, and he just got started on his new life and career.

Augie - I see you've got your smilies doing chores -- ROTFLMAO!! Did you get your freight car full of cat litter yet?

We start our rotations Monday, right? Yeah, Monday, except that I will be doing the CC PP workout on Saturday, which is perfect timing because I'll be eating pizza on Friday. It's Pizza Night Eve -- YEA!!! }( :9

Have you serenaded the squirrels with your tum and bum songs today? Your kitties are lucky they have a mom who can write original music AND sing http://bestsmileys.com/music1/22.gif. I'm afraid my singing sounds more like caterwauling;).

So, just how hot is it in Tokyo!? Is it this hot? http://bestsmileys.com/hot/3.gif

I have laundrymax on tap for today, and a little cleaning. http://bestsmileys.com/cleaning/4.gif

Dana, oh Dana -- we miss you.

Diane, Robin, Shelley, Jana, Arista, Becky, Jen Jennifer, (Oh God am I missing anybody?) -- hello!

Morning Auggie and Michele.

Michele, I'm glad everyone is OK and hope the damage to your nephew's office is minimal. I'm with you about the news. I used to listen to NPR every morning on the way to work and when I was getting to work with tears running down my face, I decided enough is enough. I turn it off when they start talking about the election or Iran, so that pretty much means all the time.

August, I read Michele's post as a "fright" train of kitty litter and thought that was pretty fitting. I hope your mom can spare a hug for you when she gets home.

This afternoon I'll be doing another segment of CTX. Thank goodness for that series with as crazy as this week has been. I'm hoping to have a nice quiet dinner with DH and maybe pop a movie in the DVD player. Any suggestions? I'm thinking The Queen.

Later haters.

Hi, Michele! Hi, Robin!

I'm just kicking back at my place with all 4 squirrels watching CSI on DVD that my friend got me while she was in China. And the DVD keeps getting rejected by my player (it's one of thooose DVDs).

Anyway, I'm enjoying my last night of complete freedom by doing absolutely nothing! It's awesome. I even had a tuna Subway sandwich which I haven't done in like....YEARS (not 48 years, however, like the heat we're having in Tokyo this year LOL).

MICHELE - Glad to hear your kitty barf is cleaned up. I have only dealt with kitty barf twice so far, and they were both by Mooch when he first got here and was nervous. Since then, no barf. Oh wait, Cham did barf up a sliver of grass she hadn't chewed well.

Anyhoo.

Yup, I did get to go on Kitty Litter Mountain and we're all set for the next...few weeks LOL. I cleaned up Mom's place and then went shopping and filled her fridge with stuff to eat, did a bunch of laundry and ....

Oh gawd, Mooch is tryig to do his little frisky move on the girls again. Get off, Mooch! And not, um, in THAT way. I've changed my feelings. The surgery is good timing LOL.

Oh yes, yes, I've sung the Bum and the Tum song many times already today. I don't think I could make any money off them though, as I sing them in my Tiny voice. I close up my throat and in my highest pitched voice I sing my songs. In Baby Language.

"Is diss yo liddle tum-tum?
Tum-tum? Tum-tum?
Oh, it's a cuuuute liddle tummy-tum!
Tummy-tum-tum!"

http://planetsmilies.net/person-smiley-1094.gif

The squirrels love it.

>So, just how hot is it in Tokyo!? Is it this hot?

Hottest it's been here in 48 years! LOL.

Pizza Night Eve. LMAO!

ROBIN - Oh man, I never watch the news, and if Mom is watching it when I go down for dinner, I request that she turns it off. The last thing I want to do is enjoy dinner and have the news on in the background.

>"fright" train of kitty litter

LOL. It's a ton of litter. And yet it goes so quickly.

Mooch is licking Lulu as if that's going to make it okay.

Ooh, we'll both be doing DVDs! I wanted to see The Queen. You should see it! I should rent it. I bet my mom would find that fun to watch.

Okay. I'm going to attempt to get my DVD to work again.

Hey Robinoosky!

Is CTX low weight/high rep? I just got that one fairly recently and haven't even previewed it yet. I want to do light weights until my elbow is healed -- assuming it will heal eventually  ;( . How long are the workouts? Short is good -- I like short workouts. That's one of the reasons I like the CC PUMP workout so much.

My DH used to listen to NPR in the mornings but now that he has satellite radio I think he's found other choices. I can't deal with the news anymore. I've never cared for NPR because it's so utterly biased towards teh left. I LOVE the entertainment programming, though. There's a public radio station here that airs old radio shows from the 1940's and 50's -- things like The Shadow, Suspense, The Whistler, Jack Benny, Fibber McGee and Molly, etc., and it's so much fun to listen too. I think our generation totally missed out on the good entertainment. I can just picture my mom's family gathered around the radio after dinner and listening to these shows. I remember her talking about that and how much she enjoyed it.

Speaking of great entertainment, the TCM channel is doing this thing called Summer Under the Stars where everyday in August they run movies featuring a particular star. Friday is Bette Davis day and I'm thinking about popping up a heap of popcorn and parking it in front of the TV all damn day http://bestsmileys.com/eating1/16.gif

ETA - August -
>"Is diss yo liddle tum-tum?
>Tum-tum? Tum-tum?
>Oh, it's a cuuuute liddle tummy-tum!
>Tummy-tum-tum!"
http://bestsmileys.com/lol/1.gif

I saw The Queen -- I loved it, but then, I adore Helen Mirren and I actually got to meet her in London! DH and I saw her in a play, then we waited for her outside the stage door after the show (she is so tiny!) and she autographed our Playbill.:)

ETA again - CSI is one of my favorite shows, but if you can get it, watch The Closer. You might be able to watch that one online. It's a detective show but it's quirky and funny -- kind of like Columbo.

ETA again -- look here -- you CAN watch it online!!
http://www.tnt.tv/series/closer/
Oh, you'll like this show!

I can't get this DVD to work. It's stuck at 1:04. I've tried fast-forwarding over the spot but it glitches.

I'm going to try rewinding to 1:05 and see how that goes.

WAIT! I LOVE Columbo. I have to try The Closer! I'm going to try my DVD and then go to the link to see it, woo hooo!

You know, the weirdest thing - I'm craving Doritos and Diet Coke. I NEVER eat that kind of stuff (mainly chocolate :) ). Urgh, what do I do? Should I put my bra on?

Hey girls!

August - you're craving Doritos? What have you been doing?:p Or maybe Aunt Flo is coming sooner than expected. She came yesterday for me. Damn her. Now I'm practically doubled over with cramps.

Okay, the tum-tum song is BRILLIANT!!!!

Michele - cat puke? What a lovely way to start your day. Blech.

Robin - happy Friday to you (since you don't have to work tomorrow!).

Okay, I'm going to go do something approximating the fetal position while still trying to look like I'm working. Do you think it would be odd if I sat here and practiced labour breathing until the Advil starts working on my cramps?

I PUT MY BRA ON FOR NOTHING!!

I hate Japan!! LOL.

No Doritos. Can you even believe it? I never, never think to eat Doritos, and the convenience store always have them (no, it's not that I check...)....

So instead I got something called Caesar Salad Chips. And a Diet Coke.

:)

Woo hoo!

Party's on!

Well, the chips are decent, but they sure ain't Doritos.

>you're craving Doritos? What have you been doing?:p Or maybe Aunt Flo is comin

OMG, that MUST be it! MUST be! Can I believe that that's it? Because I'm really eating poorly today and that would really help out tremendously.

>Okay, the tum-tum song is BRILLIANT!!!!

:p You're too kind! Too kind!

You should hear my Bum-bum song. :7

Say hi to Aunt Flo for me. Hey, I've heard that doing this will relieve cramps. Really.

Get on all fours (I know you're thinking I'm joking, but I'm not) and arch your back like a cat up (actually, Cathe does this stretch sometimes). Hold that posiition for a while and repeat.

I can't promise anything but it's better than nothing.

Or else try some Doritos.

Ceasar Salad chips!? http://bestsmileys.com/clueless/1.gif Seriously, are you eating Ceasar Salad Chips? That sounds awful -- lol!

My DH puts lime in his Diet Coke;(

Shelley - damn that Aunt Flo! Damn her to hell!!

>Do you think it would be odd if I sat here and practiced labour breathing until the Advil starts working on my cramps?

Um...if it were anybody else I'd say yes. :*

Okay. I'm finished with these. They got old quick. I didn't even get a chance to eat them and try out my DVD.

Yep, Ceasar Salad chips. It says they have a cheese taste with a spicy accent, a deep, rich taste and mild sourness (this is my lame translation).

He puts the lime in the Diet Coke and shakes it all up!
He puts the lime in the Diet Coke and shakes it all up!
He says, Doctor!
And he shakes it all up!

Okay. I'm going to try out my DVD now and then try out your link. :)

Bra's off.

"Get on all fours (I know you're thinking I'm joking, but I'm not) and arch your back like a cat up (actually, Cathe does this stretch sometimes). Hold that posiition for a while and repeat."

I would totally try that if I were at home. However, I'm not sure how well that would go over in the office. My boss is 78. If he came out here and I was on all fours arching my back, I can't guarantee his heart would hold up:p

I think you're probably craving Doritos and bad food because this year is the hottest in 48 years in Japan!

Thanks, thanks a lot. Now that lime and coconut song is going to be stuck in my head all day:p
>
>Okay. I'm going to try out my DVD now and then try out your

>
>Bra's off.

And I'm going to sign off and rest this elbow. I haven't had breakfast yet and all this talk of Doritos and Coke is making me hungry. Ciao!:*

SHELLEY - Oh. Yeah. I guess that move is better done in the privacy of one's home.

Yeah, I'm sure all this wackiness is due to Aunt Flo and 48 years of heat all balled up into tonight.

I'm afraid I'll still need Doritos at some point.

MICHELE - Have a good brekkie and rest that arm!

I know, that Lime in the Coconut song has been running through my head since I typed it.

x(

Hey chickees. Don't have much time to post.

I just made $20 in 30 minutes!!! Get your minds outta the gutter. I spoke with that woman I was talking about the other day re: co-sleeping. (which is a fancy name for your kids sleeping in your bed) It was actually pretty fun!

Robin - yep, it was Dr. Dowell. He has spoken here before but Tues was the first time I was able to sit in. He is wonderful!!!

Michele - nope, never spoke to my ped about Gabe's behaviors - most peds just want to put the kids on meds and that is a sore subject with me. I work in spec ed and my boss is great in giving me advice.

Hey Aug. Glad you're back in your own digs.

Shelley - that is priceless about the mascara. Do what did she say was the black stuff running down her face???

Hi Diane. :)

Well, even though I would much rather read all your posts and play, I've got work to do. I"ll try to check in tonight or tomorrow. I miss ya'll!!!!!!

Dana, that is so cool that it was Dr Dowell. It's almost like we finally met. LOL. He was great with Tristan and testified on our behalf when we were fighting the county for benefits.

Michele, Shelley and August, you guys are cracking me up. Between this and the chip thread, I feel like an unimaginative sluggard.

I've given up on the idea of a workout this afternoon. I think I'd rather go home and spend time with DH. We've been so busy and worried about stuff that we haven't had any quality time together since our vacation last month.

ETA: Michele, you asked so long ago, I forgot to aswer. CTX is a series of under-an-hour-long workouts combining cardio with one body part per day.

August, I forgot to metion that the tummy song is hurting my ears.
