Cathlete
Morning!

http://tools.digeratimarketing.co.uk/content/lb/smile/party/party0028.gif

I've just finished Fitball Challenge for lower body. I was really lukewarm to this workout when I first got it way back when.....and well, today when I started it out I thought, "Oh hey, this isn't that bad" but then midway I remembered why I was lukewarm about it.

One thing that sort of kind of bothers me is that the instructor, with all due respect, seems to be having throughout the workout, short fits of being possessed by the devil LOL. When she gets really into what she's doing, she will literally growl the instructions. I'm not kidding, it is literally a growl, and for a while it sends chills down my spine, then it makes me laugh, then it grinds on my every nerve.

"Okay, now put the ball against your legs and push down. Again, push. Push. Push. P~U~S~H." http://bestsmileys.com/evil/6.gif

Perhaps that's part of the burn effect. Eheh.

Okay, I've got to rush off now to put clothing on and get on the train.

See you guys later!

DANA -

>That donut that Michele posted for you looks like a kind that I've had, but I think that the crunchy stuff may have been dried coconut?

There is also a coconut version, but the golden lard crystals one is much better!

I'm glad to hear your friend's surgery went well. She lost her voice? You mean as in temporarily lost it?

>Everyday day this week I've set my alarm for 4:15 and everyday I've gotten up at 5:15. I honestly think that the only way I'll get in a workout is in the a.m. but I can't do it. Why can't I do it? There are tons of other ladies on this forum that do.

I'm not even going to answer that silly question.

But I will address the fact that you feel like crying, which I'm hoping is more Auntie Flo's doing than anything. Are you still walking like you were during regular waking hours - like to or from work? I remember that was working well for your busy schedule? Shannon had a good suggestion - about getting up early to do things you might have to do in the evening, so that it would free you up in the evening to work out?

That's great that your friend wants to be more conscious of working out. Wow, gastric bypass. Did it end up working out well for her to do that drastic surgery? She certainly had the good sense to ask a Cathe Girl for help on lifting! Although I guess you'll really want to find more info about her ab muscles and what is all right for her to do.

And I know you wanted more stuff to do, so this works out well LOL.

SHANNON -

>so, how did the pumpkin rind turn out in the chili?

I'm not sure when I can make it since I'm still in Frazzle Week. But you guys will be the first to know!

>Umm, no offense, but that picture of the donut that Michele posted doesn't look all that appetizing.

Well, I know the answer to that! It's because it's not in your oily hands in front of your soon-to-be-golden-larded mouth! That being said, it IS a Japanese donut and there simply is no comparing to US standards. Japanese cake is a complete joke.

>I have two horses, which I keep on my parents' property.

Somehow that reminded me of a joke by Steven.....forgetting his last name...it went something like, "I have the largest seashell collection in the world. I keep my shells on beaches all over the world."

JENNIFER - Wow, a post with the world "sun" in it! YAY! I'm so glad for you three!

And wow, lots of new workout DVDs coming your way! Woo hoo!

Okay, and to the rest of yous, have a great day!! :* :* :*

Hello Haters,

Today it's warmer but the sun will be back this weekend. The birds are singing and the boys are getting up earlier now too.

Yesterday at work, I received Cardio Kicks & Circuit Max instead of what I requested, CTX. So, I sent it all back on my lunch hour and emailed asking for Hardcore Extreme and Core Max instead. It should arrive to SNM by Friday morning.

This weekend, it will be ACS2 twice then to figure out my new rotations, which is just one series after another with KPC thrown in a few times.

August-Give Mooch, Chami, Lulu, and Yoyo hugs from me. Seville and Madrid say Hello to the gang.

Hey Augie, Jennifer, and all!

I'm gonna wax philosophical here for a moment...

How is it that a thread can have over 200 views and only 6 replies, especially when it's a very moving plea for well wishes to be sent to someone in need? I mean, you can put up a thread asking for votes for the cutest dog and everyone wants in on the action. I guess in this day and age, people just don't care all that much about other people :(

Augie -- I'm SO GLAD to know that you put your clothes on before boarding the train! http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/taunt016.gif

Jennifer -- Ooooh, that must've been such a disappointment when you opened the package and it contained the wrong DVD! UGH! I hate when that happens x( . Hopefully your replacements will come quickly. I'm glad you got a taste of sunshine. It's cloudy and dreary here. We're supposed to have a lot of rain over the next couple of days with possible flooding.

Cuz, Robin, Dana, Jen -- What'cha up to?

Remember me saying I wrenched my back/hip somehow? Well, it's not getting any better. I mean, it feels better when I take Ibuprofen, but when the pill wears off, it hurts as much as EVER ;( x( . DH thinks it 's sciatica. I mean, it's not any worse, it's just not any better. I think I'm going to continue with what I've been doing -- Ibuprofen and Classical Stretch -- and I'll give it another few weeks before calling a doctor. I think I know how to treat this on my own so I at least want to give it a good shot before I call a doctor and stir that whole pot :p

I best get to work here. I'll BBL to see if anyone is around :*

Howdy, Haters -

August - it sounds like you need to get rid of that particular workout. Could you maybe turn the DVD case into a tray for the bird feed? :p Just chunk the DVD into the trash.

Jennifer - hi again! It seems like I always see you first in the Melters thread.

Cuz - Isn't that just sad? I can't figure it out either. Hopefully more people will post throughout the day. Take care of that back. I'm glad you can get some relief - and hey, it's a very good reason not to do cardio, right? We can always find that ray of sunshine. ;)

I guess I'll be getting wet today. Lots and lots of rain forecast, and I have to go to Wal-Mart after work. Ick. Yesterday was a rest day because the farrier came to trim the horses' hooves. So with the Wal-Mart trip, I'll have two days off in a row. Of course you know I'd prefer to be at home doing cardio. }( But you know... a girl's gotta eat, for sure.

Hey Cuz!

I've been online researching low back and butt pain  . I feel better knowing that pain of this nature can last for several weeks, and I think I have a pretty good handle on how to treat it myself. Walking and ellipticising are sposed ta be good fer it :p . I guess I'm going to be seeing a lot of Coach Sean :7 , followed by lengthy visits with Miranda Esmonde-White ;) .

I hope you're right that more people will post throughout the day. Maybe people have sent email and just don't feel like they need to post, too? I hope that's the case. I kind of feel like maybe I came off as self righteous, but it really bothers me when I see a thread about someone in obvious need of hope and well wishes that gets a lot of hits but no replies. It's almost like rubbernecking on the freeway -- you like to watch the wreck but you don't want to do anything to help the victim. It gives me a bad, sad feeling.

We're expecting lots of rain, too. *SIGH* I want http://www.millan.net/minimations/smileys/sun.gif

Hey haters.

Michele: ((hugs)) I just read the link you posted. Since I have never done nor even listened to CC, I knew nothing about him. What an inspiration. But you are right about only certain posts being replied to. Kassia posted that April is autism month and she only had 3 replies and over 300 views. Sad isn’t it?

August: Frazzledazzlemyschnazzle week, eh? You like working under pressure though, right? I think that I used to have the FitBall LB Challengew. I had it on VHS but who knows what happened to it. There's an UB one too, right?

Shannon: Well I’m glad that I’m not the only one in slo-mo in the morning. Actually, I have thought about getting up earlier and attempting some housework. I’m usually up at 5:00, so maybe I can get up at 4:15??? We’ll see how that works out. Wow, your parents do have a lot of land. Do you have riding trails there?

Jennifer: OK, you’ve got me confused. LOL, that doesn’t take much though. You said you ordered CTX, got the wrong workouts, sent them back and changed your order to Hardcore Extreme (what are you thinking???) and CoreMax. So does this mean you cancelled CTX altogether??

Jen, oh Jen, where are you???? I know you’re busy but stop in and say hello!!! We miss ya!

Last night I walked about 4.5 miles. I was on a role – but by the time I was done I had some major wind burn on my legs. I wore pants but it still was way windy. I only went 1 mile today b/c it is very windy and I have a skirt on.

Hi Dana!

Thanks for alerting me to Kassia's thread about autism! I didn't even see it -- that thread doesn't stand out very well and it was easy to miss. My nephew is autistic so it's a cause that's near and dear to my heart.

Kudos and ^^^5's to you for walking in windy weather! You're braver than me -- I hate being outside when it's windy, much less trying to walk in that weather, but I guess it provides some good resistance! I prefer the wind at my backside pushing me down the street :p

I only went 1 mile today b/c it is very windy and I have a skirt on.
Oh come on now -- how about a little Marylin Monroe action? Hehehehe!

Yeah, WTH is Jen!? Jen, get your hiney in here and tell us what you're up to!

Hi Haters! I'm so excited! I ordered a couple pairs of hiking pants for our trip to Yellowstone in June. I ordered 12's, then worried that it would be a case of wishful thinking. They arrived today and fit perfectly! I'm so pleased. In fact, I'm so pleased I went and ordered several long sleeve tee shirts to go with them.

Dana, good for you walking in this crappy weather. When the heck is spring going to get here? Oh well, at least the grass isn't growing.

August, shame on you discussing donuts. They are one of my biggest weaknesses. I treated myself to two the other day at the grocery store. The white cream filled chocolate frosted one turned out to be bavarian cream filled and awful! I ended up throwing it away. Maybe I should just buy donuts I don't like.

Michele, I finally broke down and bought CC PP due to the post. My DH will kill me. He's OK with the clothes I've been buying, since I sort of "need" them, but he won't see the need for another CC workout. What's this about you hurting your back? I missed that. Sometimes I wonder when we get too old for all this working out. I can't remember the last time I didn't have some kind of workout related ache or pain.

Shannon, we're you having a drought last summer? We've gotten more then our average rainfall lately too.

Jennifer, do your kitties go out at all? Our boys do, but neither of them roam off the property. They find plenty of mice and voles in the weeds around the edge of the lot.

I have a sleeping baby on my lap. I can't move till DH gets home. I really need a tissue too. I still have a little of the cold I started the week with.

ROBIN!! I feel like I haven't seen you in forever! Oh! how exciting that you bought new pants and they fit perfectly! Where did you get them? I desperately need new clothes but I'm just not ready to invest in any. I want to lose that friggin 10 20 pounds first, and get rid of some of this jiggly, jello-y stuff ;( . So when are you leaving for Yellowstone? WAH -- I'm so jealous!

YIPPEE!!!!!!! Now you can take part in PP Saturday!!! I can't wait for April 26 -- WOO HOO!!

My back -- I have NO CLUE what I did to it. And I havent' been doing any stressful workouts, either. C'mon - you know me. It's Leslie and Coach Sean all the way and none of that high impact craziness :p . Anyway, the pain is..well...painful, but not too serious. I mean, I can still walk and stuff. There's like a constant ache in my low back and some pain in my big fat butt cheek and hip area. DH thinks it could be sciatica but it really doesn't go down my leg. It's just stuck in my butt http://bestsmileys.com/blushing/7.gif

I'm sorry about your cold. Aggravating, ain't it!? I've had a persistent cough for a couple of weeks now. Maybe we should start a home for aging Catheites :p . Will you be my roommate?

Okay, I'm off to do a CC workout. DH should be home in a couple of hours to take me out to dinner so I better hop to it!:*

I got the pants from Sierra Trading Post. I wanted a couple pairs of convertible pants - the ones that have zip off legs if you want shorts. We leave for Spokane on May 31 and drive to Yellowstone June 1.

I would love to be your roomie at the Cathe Manor. You don't snore, do you?

I hope your pain in the butt clears up quickly. Enjoy dinner with your DH. Give him a belated welcome home hug from me.

Hello Haters.

Seville and Madrid are strictly indoor cats. All of my cats have been all of my life-indoors.

Yes, to clear up any questions. CTX has been cancelled all together.
I previewed them last night and it just didn't happen for me. So, I am returning the wrong DVDs, wrote a note and email for the correct ones (CTX), then asked them to send me HCE and CM instead.

Is anyone going on the 08 Road trip? There has been questions in another forum. If GOD blesses me with funds from Above, I might go.
NY is first priority though.

Is it Friday yet?

Hey haters, sorry I've been MIA again... I am hoping I'll be back to normal next week. I have been low on energy this week as it is then add everything on top of it & by this time at night all I want to do is sit down and not use my brain, LOL!

I told Chad I needed a night to myself so he is not here this evening, pretty much stays every night now that he doesn't have the boys but we talked & he understands that sometimes I need my space. So, he's said that all I have to do is say so & he'll understand.

Let's see...when did I last check in?? Workouts so far:
Monday- Burn It up & 20 min glute work
Tuesday- Firm It up & 30 min hip/thigh/butt w/o
Wed- KPC/L&G Strength premix w/ Abs
Thurs- Kick Max
Fri-off
Not sure about Sat & Sunday yet...

Hello to everyone, I will really try to read up & do some personals this weekend. Chad has some thing he wants me to go to with him tomorrow night, think it is a retirement party. He is also staying Fri, Sat, and maybe Sun nights at a couples house (good friends of his) to "help" the kids while they're gone. They are older (12-17 range) but the parents don't like them to be there alone in the evenings so he'll be heading there after the party & I plan to DO NOTHING!!!! :)

Anyway, sorry for being so self absorbed but wanted to at least stop by and say hey and that I am thinking of you all.
