Has anyone tried Tari Rose Hardbody yoga?

I saw the dvd and purchased it in a Suncoat Video store. I only did it once when I had a cold or something and didn't want to do cardio and sweat. Ihave to say that I don't do yoga...it seemed like a good idea when I bought it! But it was tough...I definitely was very sore the next day. I don't know if you could actually substitute it for a full body workout, but many people get ripped from doing yoga because they are using their own body weight instead of dumbells. It was a tough workout! HOpe this helps.

If you're looking for strength gains, then no, it won't replace a full body workout. For general muscle tone, then yes.

I really liked the workout (although it was slightly on the long side for me), but really hated the music (think elevator, WAY worse than Slim Series). The music was loud enough that you couldn't play your own. In order to drown out the music of the DVD, you drowned out Tari. Since you were often in a position where you couldn't see the screen, you needed to hear her cues.

I sold it. I don't think music has ever been a deal-breaker for me before or since. It's too bad, I hope she makes another version of it. I was nicely sore the day after.

I got it when it first came out. Used it once, then Ebayed it. I couldn't stand the continuous counting from 1 to 10 (though at least she can count higher than Billy Blanks!). Some of the slow moves in plank position were alsoa bit tough on the wrists, as I recall.

Ya, Kathryn, I remember the counting too, but it didn't bother me as much as the was she would string out words. "Lean oooovvvvver"

Paula,

I love this workout. Sure, the music stinks and she counts out everything, but that doesn't matter to me. Once you get to know the moves, you can turn it down and play your own music. I like it because it makes me sore from head to toe :)

I like to do it once every other week. It gives me a nice break from the typical step, running, kickbox, or weights. I would try it if I were you! The first time is a bit difficult due to having to look up at the tv. After that, it is very effective!

HTH!!
