Has anyone tried Soy Crisps?

I saw them at the store this morning and wondered about them. There was a Bar-B-Que flavor and I think Cheddar cheese. They were low fat and by Glenny's. What do you think?

I have had them, although neither of those flavors. I'm not a big "chip" eater of any kind, and prefer the lighter flavors, but LOVE Soy Crisps when I do get the craving. They have some "sweeter" flavors as well - Apple Cinammon is quite tasty. And there is one with Honey or something. I recommend.

I am not familiar w/ Glenny's, but I do like the Genisoy brand.. theirs are quite good.

My favorite of the Genisoy's is the Sea Salt and Vinegar and also their Cheddar ones. The flavors are pretty clean, and powerful.

I love soy crisps too!! They are a perfect snack when the salt munchies attack!!

Take care, Lynn M.

Absolutely yummy delicious. I always put lots of them out when my buncha-healthnuts family visits me. Perfect for the cocktail hour. You will love em! Glenny's is an excellent brand.

I love them, too, but only the salted version -- with Genny's the others have sugar -- a no, no for me.

Also Genny's are good since their soy is non GMO -- that's important because GMO foods haven't been tested accurately enough to ensure that they are safe for human comsumption. For those who don't know GMO stands for genetically modified organism. Many foods now -- tomatoes, potatoes, corn, soy, -- are being genetically modified by inserting insect or fish genes into the plant and also to insert insectides into the plant. The thought is that it helps the plant get rid of insects and such that prey on the plant. However, the monarch butterfly population in areas where these are planted, have dramatically decreased, and in a test in the UK -- unpublicized here -- some cows died when feed a diet of only GMO grains. Also, these plants are now able to be patented -- and are made so that they don't reproduce seeds, meaning that the farmers must buy them from the producers of the plants every year. This might be "good for the goose, but not for the gander..."

My opinion.:7

I have an opened bag of Glenny's Apple Cinnamon and an unopened bag of White Cheddar in my desk. They are my arsenal against my Low Fat Cheez-It obsession.

I like 'em!!!

IMHO - yuck!! x(
I can't find anything made with soy that I seem to like but I keep trying because I would like to incorporate it into my diet.

Yuck to soy chips??? Really Lois??? Even my hotdog-eating husband likes the barbecue and ranch-flavored soy chips. What do you find distasteful? I try not to eat them except for special occasions, because I consider them to be essentially empty calories. If I thought they were good for me, I would be scarfing them down by the bag.

YUM we all like the 'salt and vinegar' variety by Genisoy in our family. It is on our weekly grocery list.

Has an one tried the new lo carb pretzels by Synders? They are a decent snack packed with fiber.

OK, OK I'll give them another try. Maybe I don't have the right mindset or haven't found a good flavor. But I will NEVER eat tofu!

Karen Kay, I love the environment as much as the next guy. But, I have to tell you that fish and insect genes are NOT used in plants. This is a huge rumor. The greenpeacers would like you to believe they do, but they do not. I have proof if you need it. One way of looking at GMO is trying to solve world hunger. We couldn't feed the world without GMO's. I don't want to be contreversial, but it maddening when people believe this BS.

Peace,
Lori

I just finished eating the onion and garlic variety. Never had them before and I must say that they are quite tastey!:9
