Has Anyone Seen this Infomercial?

I wish they would give more information on the website... looks interesting but doesn't seem like you can buy just one either to try. Let me know if you end up getting this & what you think. I'd like to try the weight loss one, looks pretty good.

I haven't seen the infomercial but would like to...

It looks interesting, but I'd like more info, too.
Looks very 'Barry's Bootcamp'or even a bit P90X like in some ways.
I think I'd like it IF their version of "full workout" is the same as mine (ie: about an hour, NOT 20 minutes!).

The price doesn't sound too bad...but of course they are making up for it with high shipping and 'handling' charges---there must be a lot of 'handling' going on!

Hi - I emailed Tom and here's the response received on the length of the workouts:

"Hi the workouts range from 30 - 45 minutes. If you want a longer wokout. i usually combine one of the workouts with another....for example...weightlose with abs is a good combo. i also want you to look at the "basis" for my times....i really believe this to be true...i am going to be 50 years old in August and i have trained this way most of my life....please let me know what you think....tom

? FITNESS, MARCH 2002 - Laval University in Canada found that exercisers who added several ?speed intervals? to their workouts lost 9 TIMES more fat over a 15 weeks than those who worked out longer but at an easier, steadier pace.

? The journal of physiology- a 20 minute interval workout netted the same ?benefits? as a 90 ? 120 minute workout done at ?steady pace?. Martin Gibala, associate professor of kinesiology at Canada?s McMaster University:

? A study in the Journal of Physiology shows that a half hour of exercise where you alternate one minute of fast or increased speed with one minute of slower speeds or pauses can improve your fitness level as much as an hour and a half of moderate exercise.

? MEN?S HEALTH, SPRING 2002 ? Short, intense exercise sessions produce 9 TIMES more fat lose than longer, slower exercise sessions.

"Studies have shown that people who do interval training twice a week [in addition to cardio] lose twice as much weight as those who do just a regular cardio workout," says obesity specialist Aronne."

Just thought I'd pass this on for more information. Not sure if I will get them or not, but wanted to pass this on.

Have a great day

Tygra - thanks for the info. Is that actually info that he sent you? or did you look that up?

I figured they couldn't be that long due to the price and yes, the shipping is high - are they in Canada or something?

I'm tempted..........but I'm not working right now.....but I do have a bit of money put away.....need to think about this. I wish I could see the clips. I can't view clips on my piece of crap computer.

If you ladies think they look Barry's Bootcampish and P90Xish....I might go ahead and get them.

Are the clips good??

hi - that's his actual response.

Hard to judge from the clips, some of the moves looked good - I see he does some terminator climber type moves. The website had more success stories than actual clips IMO. I haven't done the other two you talk about, so I can't judge it against that.

This was posted on VF forum:

Tom just sent me two more emails:

"Karen, i just confirmed the length's of each DVD:
STRENGTH--------2o MIN
WEIGHT LOSS----30 MIN
ABS-------------15 MIN
TONING---------23 MIN
EXPRESS--------10 MIN"

They seem pretty short but the clip that I watched of weight loss looked pretty good, I think that w/ the toning & abs would make a good complete w/o.

I also read at VF that Tom is talking to collage video about having these available from them. I think I'll wait a while & get others opinions before I buy.

LOL, no wonder you can't see more clips--- the clips would need to be the entire workout! :p

Well - I'm the guinea pig. I ordered yesterday (although shouldn't have, as I'm not working right now -- but the little bit of money I did have saved was buring a hole in my pocket).

The dealbreaker was when I conversed with Major Tom (he..he). He seems like a genuinely nice and sincere guy with his heart in the right place and I'm a sucker for "good" peeps. I told him I was advanced and looking for tough workouts and he responded and said to do the exercises faster than they do on the DVDs and if I don't have a GREAT workout, he'll refund my money personally!! He also said he'd pray for me for my recent job loss (cuz I mentioned that I was jobless and shouldn't be purchasing - his wife just was downsized also) and I thought that was very kind of him to offer....so I can't lose. I figure you can always do one of the 20 minute workouts x 2 (I do this with the AMy Bento's original workouts sometimes). You can also do 2 back to pack and I thought for $50 ...it was worth it.

I shall keep everyone posted.

Thanks for the update. I am interested too in these workouts.
I holding out only because of how short they are but I know that they could be great add ons to other workouts I do.
Don't forget to post how you like them and also how long will it take to receive them.

If anyone is considering these, it's probable that Collage will be carrying them (and if they sell it as the kit, they only charge shipping equivalent to one item.

I was considering these, but the length doesn't appeal to me...though I may change my mind! (I don't know, however, if I can get past one of the workouts being called 'weight LOSE.' LOL!)

Videofitness.com

Yes - I saw that post also.........but I'm hoping that I'll think they are good enough to keep......I'm not quite as picky as some people.....but we'll see. I don't like the no W/U or C/D's but I can always pop in another or do my own if the rest is decent. I also don't mind the marching in between exercises, as I usually jog in between exercises when doing weight tapes.....to burn more calories.

Hey all,

Because I love a variety of w/o's I'm giving this one a try. I actually spoke with Tom and he does seem very sincere.

The timeframe alloted on these dvd's does not bother me because I'm going to work them to my advantage. i.e. increase the weights, and push as hard as I can.

Thought I pass this along if anyone else is interested in ordering. The s/h will be under $5.00.
