Has anyone read the book Living on Live Food by Alissa Cohen? The books is about how to eat a raw diet (veggies and fruits). Like taking veganism one step further. Or does anyone eat this way? Just wondering if anyone had any experiences to share.

Thank you!!

I don't have that book, but I have several books advocating a raw vegan diet. I actually believe it is a great way to live if you have the willpower to do it. I'm not there yet, and I'm not sure I ever will be, but by reading about it regularly, I am hyperaware of eating lots of veggies and fruits and just being healthier in general. It's made a tremendous difference to me already. I've seen the book recommended in places, though, so it probably is good :).

Thanks,

Can you tell me what books you have, This is the only book that I have seen, I ran across it last night on the internet by accident. I had never thought to eat this way. I learn something new all the time.

I've read her book and have her DVD (it's very helpful).
I am not a raw fooder, but I do believe that a high -raw diet (80% raw) is very beneficial, and I try to start each meal with a raw food.

One thing about Cohen's stuff: she's really heavily into using the dehydrator. I've tried several recipes, and most of them are good. The stuffed corn tortillas are yummy, except I didn't get the 'crust' dry enough and so it ended up a bit gummy. The collard rolls are tasty (though I've tried another version of them, and not the exact one that Cohen uses).

I'll gladly give you a list of what I do have soon. I can remember some titles, but not the authors, which might create confusion when you're looking for them :).
