Morning Ladies -

This morning I did TLT Finding Your Core and the aerobic segments of Better Burn Better Buns. I REALLY enjoyed this workout. I think either I'm starting to get used to these and working it harder or I just liked this combo together. My HR stayed in the 140's and 150's during the aerobic only segments of BBBB and it was really fun. I thought the moves in FYC were excellent. There was a lot of stuff I didn't have to modify (maybe that's why). There was some excellent rear delt work (a weak area of mine) that was unique. All in all, I thought this was an excellent workout and I'm really feeling it.

I redid my rotation yesterday to do 1 day TLT, 1 day cardio and 1 day weights.............and after this morning's workout...I redid it, as I think I'm getting hooked on these TLTs, so I've decided to just alternate TLT and cardio this week. I think these definitely are workouts that you like the more you do them. Functional Fitness at its best!

Also, I did about 15 minutes of Pam Cosmi's Steppin' Rhythm....cuz I wanted to see if I could get the complex coreography....and I was so lost! I don't know if I'm going to be able to do this one (by the way...the "belly girl" is revealed and it's definitely not her outfit! LOL!). I'll try it a few times, but may end up selling it. However, if you're into unique, fun, complex step....you may want this. THis would be good for step instructors to have.

Have great workouts!

Good Morning Everyone!

Lora ~ Is Pam's step DVD anything at all like Rhythmic Step? I have really come to love that one. I'm still playing around with SS. I'm not sure when I'll dive into the TLT's I'm really liking Debbie's (fitnessfreak's) rotation right now. It gives me flexibility to add on freestyle legs. My workouts have been lengthy, but the results are worth it.:)

Nicole ~ I'm with you on not rewarding with more toys, but instead we do little stuff. For example, go out for ice cream, a new book, rent a video game (for my ds), slumber party in our room (They love this one.), etc.

Terri ~ Sorry you're having so much trouble with that ex-employee.

Today, I did S&H triceps, HSC, Shape it up and Tone it up floorwork for legs only (approx 20 min, I think). Boy, that HSC really kicked my tushy today!}(

OK, off to the showers! Hi to all who follow.

Have a great day everyone!

Morning Ladies!

I thought I would pop in real fast and say "HI". I am helping my mom move so we have been busy. We were at it for about 10 hours yesterday and we are going back today. We should have everything done today. My body is tired today. I believe that is a good thing. ;-)

Lora-I am glad you are enjoying the TLT workouts. Hearing your reviews is making me want to buy them. :D

Dallas-Sounds like you had a really good workout! I wish I could get to Marshall Fields for some of those Lucky jeans that are on sale. I also need to find a formal dress for next month. I have found one that I am interested in at Marshall Fields but can't find it on the internet. I don't think the prom selection is on there yet. Might have to make a trip to Chicago!! ;-) :D

Better go, everyone is waiting for me!

Have a great day! I will be back later!

My tummy is very upset today and I know it is just stress from the girl who is trying to cause me probs! Please pray that My lawyer and I get this taken care of quickly!

Terri so far I really like the TLT's. They are so different from anything I have? The workouts don't drain you like some workouts do. So far the 2 I have done I have enjoyed. The time really flys (means; I am not watching the clock :)) I have not really felt any doms from these though? Don't know if that is good/bad or if the SS worked all those dom muscles away haha.

The reason I bought these is because as I get older I realize the importance of working on my stabalizing muscles and postural muscles:) Tracie and Co. really do the job with these dvds.

These dvds are something that you really have to work on to get it right. Means I reallly can't tell you about them because you really have to focus and use the muscles that they are working on, and I have not got them down yet. I think the more I do them the more challenging they will be :D

oh and you can use your jolie weight with these}(

Susan, Dallas, Lora jump in and add anything that I missed. :D

Terri I will keep you posted on these, but so far I like them, and think they will be a wonderful addition to my workouts

Hope this helps!!

I love the TLT's. I think they are totally different than anything I have also and you can't really compare them with SS because SS is high rep weight training and the TLTs are functional fitness. I agree that they don't leave you feeling wiped out and they fly by. I think it is very important to do these types of work outs every month or so - sort of as an active recovery week and to work your smaller stabilizing muscles to give you good support in your traditional weight lifting.......PLUS they're so much fun with the medicine ball....I feel like I'm playing.

I'll also note that when I first startted doing TLP/TLTs, I didn't get as sore as I do after I get used them. When you get used to the moves, you realize you can sink into a lunge further, squeeze your core a little tighter, press on the plate a bit harder, so on and so forth. You really learn how to work your core when you're moving the medicine ball. I love that it feels like you're entire body is working sometimes (as a whole).

I really think Tracie outdid herself with this series! I always follow the advanced exerciser in the workout and I'm just fine with the intensity.

All of that being said, I'm sure not everyone enjoys functional fitness training.....but I like these a LOT more than Core Secrets.
