Morning Ladies-

My rotation called for a rest day today, but since I'm going to Vegas at the end of April (and will have 5 rest days), I opted for active rest and did some moderate aerboics. My new Push DVD came yesterday and the aerobics this time is low impact with Petra Kolber. I played my own music and followed it okay. It was basic mambos, cha chas, grapevines, step knee, etc. She's okay as an instructor....not one of my favorites. They added in dumbbells, weights and my stability ball to my trainer sessions with Bob this time. I'm gonna keep getting these for a while (cuz they have a few new aerobic sessions) and then I'll have enough to do a rotation.

I also did 40 minutes of Eion Finn's Power Yoga for Happiness- Daily Dose of Bliss Premix 40 mim. Can't say enough about how good his yoga sessions are (love his kind, gentle spirit).

Dallas - I still haven't worked my way up to the Mark Blanchard DVDs. When I do, I'll let you know how hard they are. I also just got my Bryan Kest on DVD and reviewed them last night (since it's been so long). I do love the pose selection and the length of the workouts. I used to do these all of the time when I first go into yoga about 10 years ago. I've been doing some down dogs and pushups and I think I might need to back off a bit and give my body time to adjust. I'm having increased spasms the last few days. What did they diagnosis your foot with? When can you do aerobics again? Have you thought about purchasing a mini tramp (cheapo) in the meantime?

Charlotte - I just preordered BuckCherry's CD from Amazon. I don't want to have to worry about running out to buy it on a Tuesday when it comes out. I see they're playing in Cleveland on April 9 .....I wonder if I could coax the DH to go with me, or maybe I'll have to see if my nieces want to go. Cleveland is about 1 hour and 15 minutes away from me. I was planning on taking a couple of sick days around that weekend....as I haven't had any for 2 years and it's my Clean Day that Friday. Too bad you don't live around here, I'd go with you.

Diana Sue- Did you see my post yesterday about the 3 free Yoga Audio Downloads at VancouverYoga.com? They are by Eion Finn. I really like him. Check out the website and see if you might like him. I think it's very kind of him to offer these. I love his DVDs. YOu should have no problem following the audio cuz you know chataranga, down & up dogs, warrior 1, warrior 2 & 3, half moon, triange, reverse triange, prayer twist, pigeon, etc.

Well...I've got a busy day. I've got to start getting my travel stuff ready for vacation (I'm anal about getting ready way in advance). I also have to relist my Ebay stuff that didn't sell.

We're going to see V for Vendetta and Stay Alive this weekend. Off to soak my sore aching shoulders.

Have great workouts.......sorry if I babbled a bit too much....but don't ya'll expect it from me???

Morning ladies!

We like chatty Lora! The yoga downloads are done and on a disc for you. (DH put them on one, hope that is ok). I will get them sent out later, I have to get little packages to mail them in first. When are you going on vacation? Where are you going?

Where is everyone today? What are you ladies up to?

I went to MCDonalds with DH for breakfast, then I tan at 10, and I have to show a house at 2. We might go shopping after that. There are a few things we need to pick up.

I imagine I will end up on my trampoline later today. If it would warm up I would go for a walk. Stupid weather!!

Have a great day!

Good morning all! I have SIM and RS on my agenda for today. I'm looking forward to these. Went to a wine tasting last night with DH. It was nice - some very good cabrenets. One was from a very small winery (40 acres) call Jerico Canyon. It was incredible. We bought a few bottles. Need to get that wine fridge soon! Then we went for a nice dinner at an good Italian restaurant in a strip mall - go figure - it was a 4 star restaurant - fabulous - but in a strip mall?!? *shrugs*

Lora - I absolutely love your reviews. I keep meaning to get more into yoga and you're really prompting me to try new things. I really appreciate that!

Sabrina - I hear ya on the weather! I'm sooo sick of rain. We have more today. Hopefully tomorrow will be nice so we can get out for a hike!

Hey - I have a question - does anyone else have problems coming up with rotations? I just never seem to be able to fit everything in that I want to (oh, daggone life - it gets in the way!).

*waves merrily to all who follow* Enjoy your Saturday ladies!

Sabrina - We always go to Vegas. We like it there and usually go twice a year. We go the April 22nd. I just got most of my travel bag packed. I'll have my clothes ready 2 weeks ahead also....or I worry about it.

Yep, it's only 30 here. I'm sick of it too!!

Christine - I've been trying to be a bit more balanced in my workout routine since doing the TLT's. I think Tracie looks amazing and I know she does functional fitness, yoga, weights and aerobics. She made me start thinking I needed to be more balanced, so I'm trying to incorporate a lot of different things in my workouts now. I think yoga stretches me better than any stretch tape I could ever do and is so good for your internal organs and keeping your youth. ETA: Re: rotations - I'm the worst indecisive Libra on the planet plus and I can never decide if I want the structure of a rotation or not. Right now I'm doing the P90 Masters one....but I think I'm going to play with different workouts for a while (near future) and just grab several workouts from each category and use them for 4 months and then do a recovery week and then start the process over. A girl on the VF Forum indexed all of her workouts and she goes thru her index cards and pulls a new category out every day and rotates them....therefore using all of her DVDs and getting a good variety. I have sooooooo many old ones that I never use.....but I keep them in case I need them when I'm 70...LOL. If you do a search a VF, some of them have good ideas. (babbling again)

We're leaving for V for Vendetta in a bit.

Oh and Sabrina - is it you that likes Bob? I can't wait until I have enough Push Workouts to do a rotation with him. I just remembered that I have an extra Push DVD you can have (they sent me 2 for January). Do you want it? IF so, I'll need your address. It is you that likes him, right? I can't remember......hope I'm not wrong. Good luck with the house. Our house that's for sale has had no action. The market is full of houses right now.

I'll be back later.

*Waves hands wildly* YES PLEASE!! I would love to have the Push DVD with Bob (yes it is me that loves him too). Thank you Lora!!

How long has your house been on the market?

Happy Saturday Ladies!

I did imax2 today instead of the 30 minute interval run on the rotation. Later I will do a weight workout. I went last night and saw Memoirs of A Geisha. It was a great movie! I talked to my dad and he is feeling so much better,

Lora-let me know how the movie is.
Christine-your night sounded wonderful!
Sabrina-you can have some of our nice weather :)

hope everyone has a good day!

Terri

Terri - oh I loved that book! I'm a fast reader, but I read that one slowly to make it last! I want to see the movie very badly - just for the cinemotography. What an incredible story!

Lora or anyone - when you first started the TLT's, did they totally kick your butt? I just did SIM and I didn't feel like I worked THAT hard (kind of Cardio and Weights hard...). I usually have no issues with working out 2 hours especially after a fairly low key workout, but I struggled through Rhythmic Step, and not because of the choregraphy! I haven't made too many changes, but I did add the TLT's - so I can only think that they work me much harder than they appear. I can really feel SIM in my shoulders. So far it is my favorite of the three I've tried. (BBBB, FYC and now SIM. EFM is for Monday).

And I agree Lora - the more functional fitness is really holding interest for me. I've been envisioning rotations of 4 weeks Weights and Cardio and yoga and 4 weeks TLT, cardio, and pilates. I think it would be fantastic way to keep the ole body guessing. We'll see.

Good afternoon
Today we are going out to dinner with friends. I got up and did some housework as I have kind of let things go to spend time with dh. He leaves Monday. It will be a let down for me when he leaves. It is also our anniversary. I did KPC w/u and cardio stopping at the combo sections, then I did Kempo X and Ab ripper X w/ my med ball and jolie weights. Tomorrow is a rest day or stretch. It will probably be rest as the family is coming over to grill steaks and spend time with dh before he leaves.

Lora, thanks for the heads up on the audio downloads. I missed it yesterday as I have kind of skimmed the posts. I will definitely check it out. I am liking the yoga workouts from P90X.

Terri, I am glad to hear that your Dad is doing well.

Hi to everyone,
Have a great weekend

Christine - For me, the TLTs had a learning curve. I really didn't start feeling them more until I did each one about 3 times. The more I did them, the harder I could work it. They are still totally different than a Cathe workout and will never leave you feeling wiped out. They are a totally different type of workout. I think I'm going to either start doing 4 weeks of traditional weights, cardio and yoga followed by a recovery week of yoga, aerobics, pilates & functional fitness or maybe I'll throw in a variety rotation once in a while....i.e., one day weights, one day cardio, one day yoga, one functional fitness day just to change things up. I also might do a Cathe Hardcore Fatloss Rotation in the near future. I enjoyed that rotation and i've been away from Cathe for a while.

The movie stunk. My DH said it was different and he beared it more than me. I was falling asleep. It was dragged out and I didn't like the story. My veggie sandwich from Panera was good afterwards though!

I'm bummed cuz my DH won't go to the concert with me and my nieces don't want to go either! I tell ya! I guess I'm the only one who doesn't act my age around here.

Sabrina - I'll mail that DVD this week. Bear in mind that this is the first one and it's pretty basic. I love the cardio routine on my rebounder with my own music though. The workout with Bob is also good for a day that you're short on time (40 min workout), or a day you want to do both cardio & full body. Did you see my post above though? They are starting to incorpate weights, step and stability ball this month.

NOne of my stuff is selling on E-bay! I guess my fitness shopping is over.
