Hardcore Fitness Maniacs week of Dec. 23

WD

Cathlete
This morning I did Les Mills Pump Revolution and some of Les Mills Pump Extreme. My dvd was freezing up on the back/leg track with the clean and press. I put the dvd in another dvd player and same thing so I put in Pump Extreme and did this track. They work it a little different between the rows and clean and press. So, I did the biceps and triceps from both workouts, then finished revolution and went back to extreme and did the lunge/squat track, shoulders, and core. Workout was 91 min and calories burned was 528.

I hope you all are having a very Merry Christmas:D
This morning I did Turbo Fire Fire 60, 57 min, 508 calories. I then did Les Mills Combat Core Attack 17 min, 95 calories. I used a 20# dumbbell for the weighted part this time. This is a good core workout. I then did Combat Stretch and Strengthen, 18 min 83 calories. Total time was 92 min amd calories burned 686.

I think everyone is checking in on last week's Check in Still. I started this on Monday.
Workout today was Body Beast Lucky 7 23minutes, 148 calories. I then did Les Mills Pump and Shred 46 min, 275 calories. I finished off with Brook Benton's Yoga Burn, 28 min, 135 calories. Total time was 97 min and calories burned was 558.

This morning I did Turbo Fire Hiit 20, 19 min, 145 calories, max hr 156. I felt I just didn't get a good enough workout out of this today. I followed it with Turbo Fire 45EZ, 44 min, 412 calories, max hr 168:D. I then did Turbo Fire abs 10 and Rev Abs merciless abs, 26 min, 126 calories. Total time was 88 min and calories burned 683.

Did any of you purchase the new Cathe DVDs?? I didn't. I know there are several that I want. Just too many things going on and others that I have bought. I am sure I will be asking for them as gifts or something. This will be the first time I did not pre-order the workouts. It always takes so long but the the finished product is usually top notch.

WD, I couldn't bare you being by yourself so here I am.

I did a yoga yesterday and today was a rest day.

Did you have a great Christmas?

I can hardly wait for XTrain to arrive. Been needing something special to perk me up. I'm suffering from Tennis Elbow and Jan. 1 will start with exercises. Hope it goes well so I can continue. Been babying it for a couple of months.

Looks like you are so good with your exercises as usual. Wish I could be more like you. Well this year my goal is to be more consistent, and to make sure I get my weaker muscles strong enough to use heavy weight.

Take care,

Janie

TGIF:p

Diane: Yeah, I preordered, I should have them next week I hope. I kinda fell off the wagon, Xmas....family.... cooking blah...blah...but will pick it back up tomorrow:rolleyes:

Janie: Hello, you are a sweetheart.

Today was Les Mills Pump Extreme, 58 min, 314 calories. I did my best weights today on this:D I then did 4 Day Split Higher Intensity step cardio only mic, 33 min, 240 calories. I finished off with Les Mills Combat stretch and strengthen, 19 min, 75 calories. Total time was 1hr 50 minutes and calories burned 629. I plan on starting Les Mills Combat Hybrid rotation on Monday.

Teddy, you will have to let me know how Cathe's new workouts are:)

Janie, you are so sweet. Thanks:D I had tennis elbow a long time ago. It was so frustrating. I had to lay off of kickboxing and punching moves for quite some time. Chrismas was great. The family came up over the weekend for our Christams so it was early. Some of them stayed overnight and we did fun activities. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas as well.

I'm at our beach house until New Years. As soon as it's not so rainy, Rolly (my dog) and I will walk the beach today.

Teddygirl, I fell off the wagon these holidays, but come Jan. 1, it's a whole new way, again. I can't wait to start on XTrain and all the other DVD's I've missed since my Tennis Elbow. I'm sure hoping 2 months off workouts does the trick. We'll see soon enough.

WD, Great job on Mills Pump
Extreme. Congrats on gaining weight poundage. Also great job on 4D Split Higher Intensity step cardio and finishing off with Combat stretch and strengthen.

I'm hoping laying off all exercises and wearing a tennis elbow brace 24/7 does the trick for me. Time is coming (Jan. 1) to see if I can. I still feel twinges of tennis elbow. Does that mean I still have it?

Sounds like you had a wonderful Christmas. I did too. So nice to be with family.

What have you been up to in your art world lately?

Take care ladies,

Janie

Janie ,not much in the art world. We moved and I have the perfect corner imy upstairs room with a new drawing table the family bought me. I have bought books and new mediums to play with. But painting has been remodeling. Hopefully soon. I have lots of projects I want to do. I know spring will be busy and I want to plant some veggies and herbs along with roses. We cleared out a lot of overgrowth and sumac this summer. So between that and almost 2 hour trips to help get the grandchildren to School to finish the year I have had limited time. Getting settled though.
It sounds like you are having a nice holiday season:) the beach sounds nice. I would love that right now since it is freezing.

My workout is finished. I did Insanity Max Interval Circuits, 60 min, 535 calories. I then did Les Mills Harcore Abs and added TRX high torso rotations, suspended side planks with floor taps, suspended crunch, and body saw with a crunch. These were moves from the TRX Force workouts. 24 min, 122 calories. I finished off with Les Mills Flow, 20 min, 59 calories. Total time 1 hr 44 min and calories burned 716.

Walked the beach with Rolly for about 45 min. During the middle of the walk I got into some unstable sand and sunk in up to my ankles and was stuck for awhile. Never happened to me before. It was scary, makes me think there are more unstable sand elsewhere just ready to cobble us up. I think I will walk around the neighborhood the next time around. Who knew the beach could be dangerous to walk after storms.

WD, You do such stunning art. I hope you can get back to it soon. It is so rewarding. Sounds like me with all the projects going on all the time. I too want to have a garden here at the beach, at least berries and asparagus to start off with.

Great job on Insanity Max Interval Circuits and Les Mills Hardcore Abs with TRX high torso rotations, suspended side planks with floor taps, suspended crunch, and body saw with a crunch. Sounds very difficult! I can't see it in my mines eye. Also I love the way you finish off a very difficult exercise with Les Mills Flow.

Do you have a Face Book account?

Take care,

Janie

Roselyn, let me know how you like Cathe's new workouts.

Janie, I never heard of sand being unstable after a rain. I do remember wet mud when I was a child in England that our wellingtons sunk into and we took them off to pull them out with our hands. Unfortunaltely we were not supposed to be playing where we were and the muddy socks and boots told it all. I would walk somewhere else too. Walking on the beach sounds so pleasant.
I almost always grow tomatoes and varieties of peppers. I usually plant herbs to use. I like that so much better breaking some off fresh than buying it in the store. My daughter gave me some stuff from their garden this last summer. They had loads of eggplant. They just moved to 15 acres and are planning a much larger garden and getting some chickens and cows.

Today I did P90X2 Yoga. Generally a rest day but I was home so decided I wanted a nice long yoga workout before I start Combat.

Joey, Rolly and I walked the beach and fed staled bread and crackers to a lone seagal. It was fun.

Roselyn, Were you able to do any of the new workouts, if so how was it?

WD, Funny story about your childhood in England. Walking on the beach today was lower tide, the surface wasn't so wet. That might have something to do with unstable sand.

You are so lucky to be able to grow tomatoes, peppers...here in the PNW if you don't have a green house there is no way they can be grown here. At least with my experience. You can do a lot on 15 acres of land! I bet they (your daughter and hubby) are in 7th heaven.

Great job on P90X2 Yoga. That's not only a stretcher workout, but it's HARD. Good idea to limber up before you do Combat. Have fun.

Take care,

Janie
