Morning Fit Ladies -

This morning I did Cardio X (skipping yoga segment) and P90 Fat Burn aerobics (about 57 min total). I modified some of the plyo and jumps on the rebounder, as my sciatica is pretty bad today and I don't know what's causing it. This made for a good variety workout and I listened to Buckcherry while doing it.

Diana Sue - That's what I like about you. You keep it "real". I was reading the comment you made yesteray about trying the ab work with the 35 pound plate and straining your neck. As good as you look and as HARD as you workout, you're never afraid to admit to a misjudgment with your training. You train very smart and VERY hard. I admire you for that and I wish I looked half as good as you. Maybe if I could ever get my "diet" (that nasty four letter word) under control.

Need Opinions: After this week, I have 5 weeks until my vacation (where I don't workout for 5 days). Following the P90X schedule as I planned previously, I would take a rest week after 2 more weeks (after the end of this week), but then that would only leave 2 weeks to workout hard before I take my 5 days off. Should I just keep pushing right up until vacation week until I have 5 days off of training? That will be a total of 7 weeks since my last recovery week? What does everyone think. I need to lose weight badly now, as my pants are too tight and I don't know which option is better for me right now.

Well, the neck is feeling better today. I think Trumpy's neck rub helped.Not as bad as yesterday.Hopefully better for tonite.
We are hopefully back on the wagon today. I am hoping for gs legs and 1/2 hour of some cardio, depends which i grab.Eny meny miny mo.

I agree with the weight for ab work. I did core max 3 and an additional 20 min ab hits.I think it was too much on my neck.

I would just keep working out hard for the last 2 weeks then enjoy your vacation with no guilt as a week off.I don't take recovery weeks. If i feel i am getting burnt i take a couple days off..

Diana Sue does look awesome, and i totally understand the diet part.
My problem is night time. I come home work out and make dinner for dh and i am famished.

What I posted above is wrong. It should say "recovery" week after 2 more weeks of training which is really not a "rest" week. P90X recovery weeks have Core Synergestics, Power Yoga and Cardio.
 
Woke up with sore shoulders and calves which I can't believe. How weird how something I didn't feel could make me sore. This morning I did Step, Jump & Pump step only premix and then did Cardio & Weights step only. Got a good sweat going, I was in my zone for 41 minutes and burned 258 calories which isn't a whole lot.

Tonight I may do some ab work, my soreness there has finally gone away.

I have PUB today. I will also do some cardio, just not sure what yet. I did some running yesterday, so I will probably do some step.

Deb, that's awesome that you have DOMS. I think this may be a rotation I will have to try sometime.

Anne, I am glad your neck feels better. GOod luck with your WO.

Lora, I think if it is a recovery week, then you are still working your body somewhat, so I say go for it, and then when on your vacation, you will be resting. Since it is recovery and not a complete rest, I would follow it that way. You know your body, so if you are really feeling not worked, or your body needs more, then do a little more, but wait until then to judge how your body is reacting. Good luck.

Well, I did PUB, and I completed the top of the bicep pyramid with 15# dumbells!! I was stoked! I actually thought of not even trying since my arms were almost jello by then. But I did it! I am also starting to get some good DOMS from L&G yesterday!
I will have to do abs and cardio later, I have an appt.

Good afternoon,
This morning I did TJam Punch Kick & Jam, Low impact combinations of Kick Max,1.5 miles on the treadmill,Ab ripper X w/10# med ball and Jolie shoe weights, 3 sets ea 35#barbell rollouts 15 reps, hanging knee raises w/ jolies and 10# ball 15 reps, Bowflex kneeling crunches w/ lat tower 160# 25 reps, I followed this with2 sets Bowflex resisted oblique twists 50# 25reps ea. side, Yoga Shatki Matrix (dancing warrior #3,#4, core abs, shoulder openers, forward twists & bends).

Lora, I think everyone makes mistakes in our capabilities at times. I try to be more careful that I was when I first started working out. I have learned over time where my weaknesses lie:) I think you would be fine to go ahead with the recovery week. Core Synergistics is tough. Usually if I am going to not workout for a few days I try and schedule a strength based workout the day before I leave or on the morning I leave. That way I have those days for the muscles to recover. Just do Core Synergistics at the end before you leave. 5 days is not that long to not workout anyway. I am sure it will be good for you.

Anne, I am glad your neck is feeling better. I know what it's like to not eat much all day and feel like I could eat the kitchen at night. Usually if I am like that I make a frozen decaf sugar free iced cappucino or pull out some raw broccoli & FF dip and nibble and drink water while cooking. Then I am no so hungry when I sit down to dinner.

Debbie, it sounds like these workouts are really working for you. I have had a lot of doms with what I have been doing. I think it is just the changing things up from the standard way I have been doing them.

Sounds like a great ab WO Diane Sue. I may need to try those roll-outs tomorrow.
I went for a bike ride tonight. My mom and dad bought somme bikes, so I tried it out and really liked it. I did 4 miles, with a bunch of hills. My quads were screaming! I will probably be pretty sore, since I did L&G yesterday. I will try for a longer route next time.

Maeghan, boy if everyone keeps talking about bikes I am going to have to get one. I am not sure about hills here, LOL. Really,, there are some, just not real hills here in the city. Not much of a place to ride either unless you take them to the park. I feel like city streets are not the best place. Those barbell rollouts are tough when you really engage those abs:) Well sore is good right?
