Linda, the highest my Hr has gotten is 176 other than once when it said 222 and I knew that that was off LOL I would say if you have all of your setting right then try a workout that you know what calories you usually burned with your old HR monitor. It would give you an idea how much different the two are. I can't say I wouldn't worry about it, because you know how I am about the hr monitor. When I had the Nike before my HR was pretty low. But it didn't fit right either.
Lora, I bet it does add a little excitement with the Christmas rush. Now, I avoid that rush. Friday sounds like a terribly long day to me.
