Hardcore Fitness Maniacs Thurs Aug 31

Hi and welcome Sunnyside! Sounds like a good WO. I haven't tried the P90x, but I have heard good results from it.

I forgot to mention that I am always up late, probably till midnight. I like to read before bed too. I get up when the little buggers wake me up 7-8am, or unless we have mornign appts, then it is earlier. I wish I could get up early and WO, but everytime I tried, I got dizzy and nauseous about 10min into it. My body just needs more time to get with it. I am not good on empty tummy! I should try again, but that requires me to get up earlier, BLAHH!!!

Meaghan- I do the same. I stay up to at least midnight and read all the posts. I accually makes me more tired so I can get to sleep easier. Sleep hasn't been so easy for me latley.

I usually do evening workouts around 2:30.if I do a a.m workout it is at 5:30.I am in bed by 10:00 every night and fall to sleep as soon as my head hits the pillow.
I use to do both a.m and p.m workouts wts in a.m cardio p.m(can't do it in the a.m-I have tried just not going to happen).The most I workout is 1 hour. most of the time I workout 30-45 min.on some occasions 2 hours but not often.
I am trying to cut back on cardio (days) and only do 20 min 3 times a week to help my muscles:eek: grow.

I just finished Legs and backX and Ab ripperX. WOW! Tougher than I remember. LOL! Had a great workout. Alternated Assisted Pullups on Pullup bar with Lat Pulldowns on the machine, averageing about 12 a set. Did the calf raises on my calf station at 48lbs. That was freakin killer!

No body workout today....I've been jumping all over the place as posted earlier this morning. 11 inches of rain coming our way so no bike ride for awhile..stinks! Tomorrow is the workout day. Let me tell you, that workout yesterday rocked! My lats have never been this sore...EVER! Triceps sore too. Got your pm. Thanks.

Oh, ok, I did read it. Isn't it great to be sore? Man, I've never been this sore with any workouts I've done in the past. I'm sore EVERY time I do one of these workouts!!! Woo Hoo!
 
LOL Debbie. I know how you feel. Its like when we get sore, we are soo happy because it makes us know that we really worked}(

Dallys- That looks like a great workout you did. Calf raises w/ wieghts are killers}(

I just did Lowmax, then abs from SJP, and then shoulders:

overhead presses
side lateral raises
upright rows
front raises
rear flys

Then STRETCH!!!
My hips had major DOMS today. Curious to see how they are tomorrow!!

Thats sounds intese Maeghan}( Did you use heavy weight and low rep but more sets, or lighter wieght more and more reps?

Well, I did 10-12 reps, 3 sets. I went heavy, but the last set, I had to go down in weight. I noticed the last time I worked my shoulders, that they felt weaker. Not sure if it was a quirk, or what. But, it is the end of the day, I do a lot of lifting the kids and doing things during the day, which can fatigue my muscles some, and I did some plank work first too.
I definately am stronger (upper body) earlier in the day, but I can definately feel how worked my shoulders are right now. So, it was a good one. I am planning on hitting it harder nexrt week, with all the weights.

Sorry for such a long explanation. Time to shower.
My boys are spending the night at Grammy's tonight. It is a first, so I hope it lasts all night! A night of uninterrupted sleep----what a concept!!!

I will be going to the county fair with my sis and neice, and the boys tomorrow. Should be fun!

That sounds good Maeghan. I liked you shoulder work. Thats almost what I do too for shoulders, jsut alittle different. Hope you have a good sleep and have fun tomorrow! Are you doing any special workout tomorrow or is it your rest day?

Me too!!! Biceps and abs are my fav body part to work. Well I gatta go to bed. Havta get up early tomorrow. I'm doing Cathes Core Max for 1 hour tomorrow morning at 7 on Fit TV. I'm going school shopping tomorrow afternoon, so I wanna work out first thing. No gym. My Mom and I don't go on Friday.
