Morning Fit Ladies -
This morning I did P90X Kenpo X followed by short Pilates Ab routine and Bryan Kest's Energize Power Yoga.
I ended up sleeping in until 4:00 am this morning and when I did get up, I didn't even feel like working out (I'll NEVER be able to sleep tonight now). I have to say I'm sort of disappointed in P90X. I REALLY have to be creative doing Kenpo X to get my heartrate up there. If I don't add my own intensity, I feel my HR falls too low in this workout. I really don't feel Tony can honestly say "Bring It" to me for this workout. I was like ....well Tony...c'mon Bring it Already!!! Geez!
And since I'm feeling particularly cocky right now...I'll go a step further here and say...I honestly don't feel Men have the "endurance" level us women have for aerobics and weightlifting. I notice this on all of my Beachbody stuff. Tony sure likes to take those breaks.(and sounds particulary out of breath when I'm barely breathing heavy)...which drives me nuts, as I've stated before.....I usually jog or start doing the moves early in ALL of his workouts. The reason I categorize Men together here.....is because I mentioned this to my DH and he acted like "what breaks"....there are no breaks. He even thought this about P90X Yoga which I thought didn't move quickly enough and there was too much explaining....to which he replied I was nuts. Thus..the conclusion that men don't have the stamina and endurance women do. Oh and my DH even said ...well, it must be cuz you don't lift heavy enough or do it good enough, but I know I push myself and lift AS HEAVY as I can safely. I've been working from my old sheets doing P90X and I can't believe how much heavier I'm lifting now than I was at that time.
Anyway....I'll quit babbling now.
I haven't done that Bryan Kest Yoga for years! I used to do that when it first came out (all of the time). I learned Yoga on his 3 tape series. I practically know all of the chatter verbatim....I had to laugh. I really did like the pose selection and I think I'll start reaching for this more often, as it's just slightly different than other yoga practices.
Have great workouts everyone. Off to soak my shoulders and see Johnny Depp. The DH and I both really like Johnny. We like the bizzare characters he always plays. We've seen everything he's done.
I'll be back later.
