Morning Fit Ladies -
This morning I did 35 minutes of Pam Cosmi's Steppin Rhythm followed by 25 minutes of Mindy's Gliding aerobics. I then did P90X Yoga X.
I got a tiny bit excited cuz I picked up one more part of the first segment of the step DVD, but that was shot to heck when the 2nd segment came on and I was lost. I must start working on only the 2nd segment for a while, so I can get it.
Okay - Yoga X did not really "do it" for me. It is a well designed practice and very suitable for a beginner because he takes a lot of time to explain each posture. This is the biggest reason I didn't care for it. I don't like how slow it moves and he slows you down even more with all of the explaining. I was fast forwarding a bit...but this is normal for the relationship I have with Tony....I usually fast forward all of his workouts cuz I hate the explaining breaks. The other reason I didn't really like it is because I have so many other DVDs that have gorgeous scenery and better music that I find much more enjoyable yoga practices. If I want to spent 90 minutes doing yoga, I much prefer Mark Blanchard, Eion or Shiva. All of that being said, I did really like the core work in that yoga and I would probably tack that on to the end of another practice if I use a substitute for Yoga X. I think Tony did a decent job teaching also.
I like the looks of the July rotation Cathe put up also. I'm thinking I might want to do it. Do you ladies think it's good for fat loss? I'm so worried that I'm going to gain weight from lowering my aerobics with P90X. I'm already 2 pounds over my "do not go over" weight and I can't afford to gain even 1 pound. I'm going to keep a close eye on it and if the scale goes up, I'll have to start a fatloss rotation. I've already started being more careful with measuring my serving sizes and changing a few other things in my diet, so we'll see.
Suz - wow...40 miles. If I rode 40 miles on a bike, I wouldn't have these few extra pounds hanging around to complain about. You ladies amaze me.
I cut my fingers really badly yesterday while getting my E-bay stuff ready. I'm wondering if I should contact the company I get my sample vials from. I was making up my perfume oil samples and when I was squeezing the cap onto the vial, the vial broke and gauged into both my thumb and index finger. The cuts are pretty deep and wouldn't stop bleeding. Every time I move my finger now, it starts bleeding again. This isn't the first time this has happened. It happens with at least 2 vials per bag of 40 that I buy. This is the worst I ever got cut. I wonder if I should say something to the company I buy the vials from??
Have great workouts everyone. We're going to see "The Devil Wears Prada" today. It looks like it should be enjoyable.
I'll be back later. I'm off to soak.
