Cathlete
I am going to go ahead and start this. Today I am doing cario and some stretching/yoga. I have an appointment to get my haircut this afternoon and errands. I just ordered the new Eat Clean Diet Cookbook and Jari's new workout that is coming out from Amazon. Hope I like them. I use the other cookbook and have found some recipes that have went over well for family gatherings. My grandson keeps looking at those chocolate looking bars in my fitness magazine's ad for the cookbook LOL I will check back in awhile.

Good Morning,

I did 4DS LIS and then Butts N Guts. Had a good workout. Diane, I ordered the new cookbook and I got it the other day. It looks great. Need to start cooking now. Monday I am going to start the Insanity series. Looking forward to it, I think;)

Today was cardio and I chose Strikezone. Had a good workout. I skipped the Spiderwebs again. I don't think I could have done one pushup today, let alone all that rolling around. My chest, tri's and shoulders are so sore its unreal. My favorite Strike is #10. That one is just fun to do.

Anyways, it's rainy here today, figures it has to be raining on the weekend. My motorcycle riding is getting fewer and farther between.

HR STATS:
58 minutes total
5 minutes below zone
16 minutes in zone
37 minutes above zone
450 calories burned

Happy with these stats.

Diane sue - I seen the ad for the new cookbook. I didn't care much for the first one. Let me know how you like it when you get it.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Diane Sue-
Where did you order the cookbook? I've seen the ad and I want it :)
Debbie- sorry the weather sucks. It isn't fair that it's crappy on the days you can actually go out and enjoy it.
Roselyn-
Good luck with Insanity. Let me know what you think of the series.

Yesterday was workout free, as I had a funeral to attend. Today I am gonna do a kettlebell workout, and tomorrow I need to get a run in.

Monday starts month 2 of p90x. I previewed the weight work and I think it is gonna be good. I got the power tower last week, and I'm excited to use that to do pullups.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Morning Maniacs -

This morning I did Cathe's 4D Kickbox followed by Leslie's Fat Burn Walk 2 Miles. Workout was 65" and I burned 680 calories. I used my 2 lb hand weights for the Leslie part. DH did the workout with me. We also did Michele Dozois' 15" stretch. I could have used some yoga, but have to go get ready for work. I work late tonight. It's cold and rainy here as well, as I'm in Northeastern Ohio like Deb.

Have great workouts and weekends everyone.

Deb - I like Josef in Strikezone. I heard Tracey's in the midst of doing another Strikezone type of workout with him and another trainer from Les Mills like Josef. I have not got any new music to tell you about lately. I've been sort of on a "news" kick and not listening to music quite as much. Don't know what that is all about! LOL.

ETA: forgot to mention that I ordered Valerie Water's new DVD program "Action Hero Babe Workout". It should ship on 9/30. I will keep everyone posted. I used to like the sample Action Hero workouts she had on her Blog, so I have high hopes. Her circuits are pretty good usually.

I got my workout in and had to rush out to drop the outfit I made for my grandbaby then ran to the Beauty Brands for my haircut. Bought a Glo Minerals Lip plumper gloss and replaced a pink OPI polish that I broke. I got to use my free coupon for some shampoo and stuff. This was a new hairdresser for me. She did a good job and I was happy. She won't be there long as she is going to nursing school on weekdays. Workout this morning was 3 miles on the treadmill (316calories) and Rumble. I was really trying to kick toward the neck and head on the heavy bag. I burned more calories than usual, 658. Total calories burned today was 974.

Theresa, I ordered the new Clean Eating Cookbook from Amazon. It was 17.99. Way less than Oxygen is selling it
for. I am roasting some beets using the recipe wit garlic and olive oil from the original clean eating cookbook. I want to be able to use them in my salad.

Debbie, sorry you are having bad weather. Ours finally cleared and it is in the 70's today. They say next week it will cool off again.

Hi Ladies

Can I join you? I've been a lurker on your thread for along time and I'm in absolute awe of you all. You're such an inspirational group. I'm in the UK and an avid exerciser although not quite to your level lol.

Today was Pyramid Lower Body Challenge and I did some Steve Maxwell Joint Mobility back exercises. My lower back gets real tight from deadlifts. But I appreciate how good they are for the hamstrings. The joint mobility was great and really losened me up. I follwed that with the back segment stretch from Mimi Solaire's Yin Yoga Stretching DVD. I really need to work on my joint mobility and flexibility.

Debbie I have Tracey's strikezone I must try it out soon. Diane Sue I believe you've got the Flexible Warrior Yoga series with Karen Dubs? Do you think they're good and which one out of the three would you recommend?

Anyway have great workouts ladies. The weather here in the UK is presently mild although the nights are getting darker. September is always a nice month here in the uk less rain lol.

Take care

Laura

We just got back from dinner. Two nights in a row:eek: Yesterday was Italian and I stuck with a salad with vineagrette and pasta with marinara sauce. Today was a local mexican restaurant that is run by a Hispanic family. It was so cute because they had one of the little girls carrying the tray out:) I tried a dish that was supposed to be 12 shrimp with rice and beans. (always the beans) Anyway it was good. Kind of a lime tomato sauce and it was hot:0 My eyes were watering and nose was wanting to run LOL I left the beans but did eat some of the chips.

Laura, welcome to the check in. Those deadlifts are great for the hamstrings but they make my back hurt. That is why when Cathe's STS has them in back and legs I lower the weight when I do back The foam roller helps a lot with that. I have Flexible Warrior Yoga for Athletes 3.0 Energy, Cycle, Swim, Run. This was the first Yoga dvd I purchased that had short enough yoga segments for someone with limited time that wanted to get some yoga in after working out. I think the run segment is really good. The set and music leaves a lot to be desired though. There are good form pointers in there.
Are you native to the UK? Or just living there?
