Good Morning, today's workout will be a circuit and lower body focused floorwork. I think I will use Kimberly Spreen's Kickbox Bootcamp and either Butts and Guts floorwork or Gym Style floorwork and calves. I want to get in some stretching or yoga too. I hope you all are enjoying your weekend:)

This morning was Shoulders and Abs. Struggled this morning for some odd reason. Just did not feel strong. My 15's felt heavy to me. Weird. Spent the first 15 minutes chasing a freakin' spider. Damn thing was quick, it took forever to kill it. It's funny, I use to be deathly afraid of spiders. Had this been two years ago I would have woke my husband up to come down and kill it. Now I just keep good distance between me and the nasty little creature and try to kill it with whatever I have near me. Had a yard stick. Worked well. LOL!

Shoulders
1:30 min. rest
DB Press (warmup): 15's - 2 sets/15 reps
2:00 min. rest
DB Press: 30's - 3 sets/6 reps (same as last week)
Hammer Grip DB Front Raises: 15's - 3 sets/8 reps (same)
Lateral Raises: 22's - 3 sets/10 reps (up 2#)
Bent Over Lateral Raise: 20's - 3 sets/12 reps (same)
**Notes: I tried going with 32's for the Presses. Yea, ok. One rep and I about died. Why is a 2# raise with shoulders so difficult? I changed my stance with the HG Front Raises, I used a split stance and that helped me tremendously. Great balance doing them that way. I can't believe I'm doing lateral raises with 22#! 25# is just around the corner.

QUESTION: Is it better to do Dumbbell Presses standing or seated?? Does it actually matter?

Abs
Body Max 2
**Notes: I REALLY love this ab workout. I'm getting really good at it. The side planks came easy this time and I didn't struggle much when you lift your leg up in the air (what does Cathe call them, side plank angels or something like that?)

YAHOO!!!! Got some awesome news yesterday. My dh applied for a job about three weeks ago and was accepted for the position yesterday. This is huge for us. We are so financially tight due to the store we owned and had to close that it's been really hard for us at times. This new job will be like night and day for us. He has to go take a drug test but will pass that with flying colors.

Anyways, hope you all have a great weekend!

I got in my workout and ran lots of errands. I started my workout with Kimberly Spreen's Kickbox Bootcamp stopping at the stretch, then I did 2 miles on the treadmill, Butts and Guts floor work using 5# ankle weights and a 15# dumbbell over hips, the stretch and then Yoga Shatki lunge and supine poses.

Debbie, I am not sure if it matters. I feel like when I am sitting I do not use my body to help at all. Maybe that is just me. Good shoulder workout.

Randi, sorry you feel ill. I hope it improves.

Dallys, how was Butts and Guts:)

Hi Ladies!

We just got back from Denver. I got my hair cut off! I made it my new avatar. I won't keep it as my avatar too long. It will go back to doggies pretty soon. :) Maybe a week or two. But I wanted to share. It's shorter than it's been in a long time. I think I'll like it. We'll see once the 90mph winds return. I didn't do the group ride this morning since we left early and my girlfriend e-mailed me and said they had winds to 24mph! Sheesh!

I did a short ride before we left - an hour long hill ride. The winds were just picking up, 10.5 mph when I left my house. I dropped my chain and couldn't get it back on at first. You should have seen my fingers - all full of grease. I have white bar tape so I was doing everything not to touch it for the rest of my ride. Hopefully DH and I will get a good ride in tomorrow. He's been riding with such fast guys lately that I'm sure riding with me is like a walk in the park. :p

Debbie - I can't believe you're doing lat raises with 22# either!!! Good golly!!! Congrats to you and your DH. That's just wonderful news. What a wonderful relief to you both. How nice for you. :)

Randi - I'm sorry you're not feeling well. But you sure get those workouts in! I hope you feel better real soon.

Dallys - Hope you enjoyed your pedi. I've never had one.

Diane Sue - Glad you got in your stretch and yoga. That was your plan and you accomplished it. :)

Off to watch movies. Our power went out with a HUGE rain, thunder and lightening storm last night. It was out for a couple of hours so we couldn't watch our movies. We'll try again now.

Suz- CUTE haircut! I love it! You have great hair. I've got thee worst hair ever... baby fine. it looks good for about an hour and then it turns flat and stringy.:( Been trying to wear it curly as it has some curl and I saw the little 80 year ole neighbor lady down the street and you guessed it, we are going for the same look. LOL! I'm still waiting for my bike shock to get fixed and returned! Can you believe it! It's been almost a month! They say they are behind. *eyeroll*

Diane Sue- Butts and Guts was great! I love the floor work in this workout...and of course, the firewalkers.

Debbie- Great news for you and hubby! More money coming in is always good news.:)

Randi- hope you are feeling better.

Suz, I love the haircut. It looks really good on you.

Dallys, I like those firewalkers too. I have very fine thin hair too. It has some wave and flattens really quick. It also fuzzes on waves on the ends when it is humid or it starts drying before I get to it. It really is annying. I really doubt you and the 80 year old are going for the same look. I think the elderly go for curly looks to try and fill in their thinning hair. I really feel sorry for them.

Thanks all about hubby's new job. We are very excited!

Diane Sue - I'm worried that if I do them seated I won't be able to move as much weight. I guess I'll try them and see.

Randi - Hope you feel better soon!!!

Suz - Love your AVI! You are so cute!

Thanks you guys. :) I do have to be careful b/c my hair can get really frizzy. I have to find the right balance between too much product which makes me have the wet look which I HATE (like in that picture of DH and me at his FBI graduation) and not enough which makes my hair all frizzy. Oh so challenging. :p It was pretty frizzy on top when I got home. I had to wet it and smooth it down a bit.

Dallys - I agree with Diane Sue. I'm sure you and the 80 year old woman are NOT going for the same look. You crack me up!

Debbie, that is awesome about your dh new job. Congratualations. I do believe it is harder to get as much weight up when seated but I still think it is because I can use other muscles to help get it up there. Seated isolates the move more.
