Hardcore Fitness Maniacs for week of 8/5

Sorry I've been MIA. No reason, just been busy. Today I did a cardio coach mix I made and had a good workout. It felt good getting on my treadmill again. Last week was a huge bust.

Today I did Beast Bulk Arms week 5, 36 min.,219 calories. I then did P90X abs/core plus, 22 min., 154 calories. I finished with a 30 minute treadmill jog/run, 2.25 miles, 350 calories. Total time was 88 minutes and calories burned 723.
 
Butts and guts today. Starting to pack some stuff up for my son,we move him to Missouri State on Aug 16th, so we went through 2 drawers today woo hoo!! This is gonna be hard:(
 
Today I did Lower Body workout from the Low Impact Total Body Trisets DVD. Had an excellent workout. My legs were fried. I really like this workout.

Triset #1
Wall Squats - 12's/16 reps
Lunges w/Cups - 16 reps
Side Leaning Lunges w/Cups - 16 reps
Repeat

Triset #2
Step Up w/Lunges - 12's/12 reps (4 risers)
Elevated Lunges w/Cups - 16 reps (2 risers)
Dumbbell Squats - 15's/16 reps
Repeat


Triset #3
Deadlifts - 20's/16 reps
One Legged Squats - 3's/16 reps
Stability Ball Roll-Ins - 12 reps
Repeat - did 2nd set with 15's for deadlifts and did Roll-In's with both legs instead of seperate.

So last week I took my mom to see my eye doctor. She had a thorough checkup and she found that the retina in her right eye was swollen and the macula was wrinkled. She wasn't sure why so she sent us to a specialist and we went there yesterday.

So the doctor did a bunch of scans on her eyes, put dye in her veins and did more scans. She has scar tissue on her retina which is causing the macula to wrinkle. He said he can do a simple 20 minutes operation to peel the scar tissue off her eye and that should restore about 50-60% of her eye site. :eek: He said she should not have any vision problems after the surgery other than aging issues.

He did say that she has the beginning signs of macula degeneration but she has the "dry" kind which means if you have this condition, the "dry" kind is the best to have. It is slow in making changes to her eyes and he doesn't see a reason to even worry that it will do anything to her eyesight in her lifetime.

What makes me mad about this whole thing is the eye doctor my mom used to see annually did tell me about 5 years ago that she had scar tissue on her eye. However, she didn't recommend we see a specialist or get more tests done or anything. She just told us that within 10 years my mom would be blind.

I'm glad I decided not to listen to her doctor and keep going with this issue. I knew in this day and age, they can fix eye problems. And sure enough, we have a light at the end of the tunnel finally.

Thank you for the prayers, everyone, and I will ask for more the day of her surgery. I am waiting for the scheduler to call me to make the appointment.

I did URX-MT Gay Gasper Total Body Metabolic Strength Conditioning. This only uses the sand weights during the last 12 minutes, 52 min, 444 calories. I then did Beast abs, 11 min, 71 calories. I finished of with Chalean Extreme Recharge, 20 min, 89 calories. Total time was 83 minutes and calories burned 604.

Debbie, be sure to let us know when the surgery is. I will keep praying. That goes with the saying that we should always get a second opinion. The only thing is not everyone can do that. I am so glad that you got another opinion. That is wonderful that she won't be blind.
 
This morning I did Run Fit and had an excellent workout. Did very well with it.

Today's workout was Body Beast Back, 30 min, 154 calories. I then did X Train All Out Low Impact Hiit floor mix stopping at the stretch 17 min, 146 calories. I followed with Intensity Low Impact Hiit 11 min, 81 calories. I finished off with Yoga Relax, 52 min, 132 calories. Total time was1 hr 50 minutes and calories burned 513.
 
Today I did the Upper Body Premix of Low Impact Total Body Trisets workout. Had a really good workout but this one has some exercises in it that irritate my shoulder. So I need to be careful and I was. This is what I did:

Triset #1
Soldier Plank Pushups - 16 reps
Shoulder Incline Press - 10's/16 reps
Lying Triceps Extension on Ball - 8's/16 reps
**Repeat** but only did regular pushups and used 8's for Shoulder Incline on 2nd set

Triset #2
Cross-Over Leg Pushups - 16 reps
Incline Shoulder Arches - 5's/15 reps
Plank Kickbacks - 5#/12 reps
**Repeat** but only did regular pushups again and then dropped to 3's with the incline shoulder arches for 2nd set

Triset #3
Alternate Chest Flyes - 12's/16 reps
External Rotation Lateral Raise - 5's/10 reps
See Saw Pushups - 10 reps
**Repeat**

Triset #4
One-Arm Rows w/Leg Lifts - 12#/15 reps
Incline Hammer Curls w/Twist - 12's/16 reps
Ball Crunches - 8#/16 reps
**Repeat**

Triset #5
Stability Ball Pullovers - 12#/15 reps
Alternate Curls - 12's/16 reps
Ball Exchange - 20 reps
**Repeat** but dropped weight to 10's on 2nd set of alternate curls.

Triset #6
Rear Delt Flyes - 3's/16 reps
Concentration Curls - 12#/15 reps
Reverse Crunches - 32 reps
**Repeat**

I like how this workout ads in ab work with the trisets. Then you don't have to worry about getting them done.
 
My workout today was Beast Bulk shoulders week 5, 35 minutes, less Mills Combat 30 kickstart, 30 min, 218 calories. Les Mills combat inner Warrior strength and stretch, 18 min, 81 calories. Total time 94 minutes, calories 514.
 
I did cardio today and did Cardio Coach #3. Had a good workout but my legs are so sore from Tuesday and Wednesday's workouts. It was even hard to sit on the floor and stretch after my workout. I think I need to get a yoga workout in this weekend.

Can it rain anymore this summer? Yeesh, that is all it has done. I'm so sick of it.
 
This morning I started with Cardio & Weights cardio premix stopping at the stretch, 31 min,. 256 calories. I then did 4 Day Split Higher Intensity Step cardio only mix, 34 min., 287 calories. I followed with Les Mills Combat Core Attack, 18 min., 82 calories and ended with Calorie Blast Yoga Ready to Sweat 20 min., 98 calories. Total time was 1 hr 43 minutes and calories burned 723.

Debbie, it has rained here a lot too. I need to work in the yard but it is always wet. The nice thing is that I have not had to drag around sprinklers this summer.
