Hardcore Fitness Maniacs for week of 8/19

Today was cardio and I chose Cardio Coach #2 revised. Not one of my favorite workouts but it was ok. The warmup is only 4 minutes and then it goes right into the first challenge so I repeated the warmup twice and the 2nd time I jogged it out a bit. I didn't get my HR up too high on this one, not sure why? Had an ok workout for a Monday, though.

CARDIO STATS:
45 minutes total
8 minutes below zone
16 minutes in zone
23 minutes above zone
372 calories burned
2.5 miles traveled

Not too bad...

Workout is done. URX-MT Patrick Goudeau Core Metabolic Cardio. 51 min, 485 calories. I then did X train burn sets shoulders, 14 min, 85 calories. I finished with Les Mills Flow 20 min, 73 calories. Total time was 85 minutes and calories burned 643.

Today I did one of the Leg Triset workouts from the STS series. Had a great workout. My legs are fried!

One-Leg Elevated Lunges (BSS) - 12's
Wide Stance Deadlifts - 20's
***Repeat 2 more times

One-Leg Slide Back Lunges - 12's

Workout was Xtrain Bis, Tris, & Core 1, 57 min, 233 calories. I then did Rapid Fire shadowboxing rounds 1 & 2 (3 had too much torqueing the legs and ski hops) followed with the standing and floor med ball abs and stretch, 35 min., 194 calories. I finished off with Calorie Blast Yoga sculpt segment using 3 and 5 # dumbbells, 20 min, 75 calories. Total time was 1 hr 52 minutes and calories burned 502. I hope my knee gets better before Cathe's comes or if I get my requested T25 gamma workouts for my birthday. It is getting frustrating. It wakes me up aching when I am not moving. It is actually in the back of my knee.

Today I did one of my Cardio Coach Mixes (Mix #5) and had a great workout. I had to cut it short because I didn't start right at 5:30. But no biggie, still had a great workout.

CARDIO STATS:
58 minutes total
8 minutes below zone
22 minutes in zone
31 minutes above zone
505 calories burned
3.25 miles traveled

Anyone follow Flylady? I started about two weeks ago and love it! My house has never looked so clean!

Today I did the upper body premix of High Reps. Had an ok workout. High reps really bothers my shoulders and upper back so I was really careful with weight and I stopped when it felt like the muscle was getting tight. For some reason Cathe skips the back work in this one which was ok with me. But I found that odd.

I won't bother putting what I did on here, I used light weights and the reps were high. Nuff said... :D

Today I did Kelly Coffey TLC Boxing workout, 31 min, 170 calories. I then did Amy Bento Drop sets using the chapter menu, back done twice, biceps, triceps, and Abs, Stretch ( like the use of the stability ball and the 11 min stretch), 63 minutes, 256 calories. I followed with Kelly's Your Best Body core and yoga mix skipping the w/u,18 min, 71 calories. I tried a you tube yoga that was given to me and I think it would have been good but she was twisting the legs around in ways that started to hurt my knee. I did 15 minutes of this 45 calories. Total time was 2 hr. 7 min and calories burned 542.

Debbie, I kind of remember that with High Reps and back. I just saw something with flylady on it. I haven't checked it out though.

Anyone else notice how slow this website has been lately? Is it just me?

Today was cardio and I chose Cardio Coach #3. I did well with this one and did a quarter mile more than I did the last time I did it.

CARDIO STATS:
45 minutes total
4 minutes below zone
17 minutes in zone
26 minutes above zone
385 calories burned
2.5 miles traveled

Today was cardio and I did TFocus 25 Speed, whew still kicking my butt, constant cardio for 25 minutes no breaks, I wish I knew calories burned I need to get a HR monitor and I know I have asked before but what do you all recommend? And do they all have chest straps?

Been a hard week missing my son but he seems to like college but he is coming home labor day weekend!!

This morning I did Zero to Sixty with Sharon Twombly. I followed with Shiva's More Daily Energy Evolution Heart segment then the stretching on the end of P90X2 PAP Lower. I think the deep stretching was a mistake because now behind my knee, my calf, and my left foot are painful. I think there may be a nerve pinched or something. I am going to have to lay off of most work for a bit.

Roselyn, I have 3 Polar Heartrate Monitors. My favorite is the F6 which is pretty simple, the strap for it is battery and strap all in one so has to be replaced when it runs out. It does work with my soft strap though but I like the original style. The FT60 I like because I can change the batteries in it myself and it will do the VO2 Max it came with a soft strap and I have to launder it often to keep it working well, you cannot use fabric softener on it and as far as I know you cannot use a conductor gel on it. I use the suggested aloe vera that Debbie mentioned to me once on my F6 hard strap. The other one I have I hate. It is the newest and the calorie burns are about half and I know it is not accurate. I tried taking my pulse and checking. So, it makes me not want to use it. It is the FT4. You can change the battery in it and the transmitter on the soft strap. I have had the F6 for about 5 years and the FT60 for 3. I also have an old F11 that worked well but all of the functions do not work on it anymore because I changed the battery on my own when I was not supposed to do it and bent some prongs on it.

Thanks for all the info Diane Sue, I really want to purchase one.

Today I did Les Mills Live 60.

First week without my son under my belt, the house is sure different:(

No workout. I am taking a couple of days off and will try to think out what I can do next week. I iced my leg and kept off my feet as much as possible yesterday and it is better today but still hurts. Family is coming up to celebrate my birthday early. So that is today's plan.

Roselyn, that empty house takes awhile to get used to.
