Hardcore Fitness Maniacs for week of 5/20

Today I did Run Fit and tried my new Brooks Ghost shoes. They felt really good, very comfortable. I like them a lot. They were more than what I usually pay for a running shoe, but I believe it was worth it. I had a great workout and my running is just getting better and better. I no longer dread it, I enjoy it. This is huge for me!

Today I did P90X 2 shoulders and arms, 54 min, 310 calories. I then did Ab Ripper X2 17 min, 80 calories. I finished off with Calorie Blast Yoga ready to sweat and core power abs segments 27 min, 110 calories. Total time 98 min and calories burned 500. I was not really feeling cardio today. My right knee has been achey and I think it is the PAP side arm balance. I can feel the stress on that knee when I am trying to hold that position. I think I will do something else for lower this week. This is my 9th week with P90X2. That is all I had planned on doing. I have not come up with my next plan yet. I have to think about it :)

Debbie, the Brooks Ghost are a nice looking pair of shoes. I generally spend more on my workout shoes and buy good inserts like Super Feet or Footminders. That is how I found it is well worth it.
 
Today I did Karen Voight's Yoga Strength. Had a good yoga workout. It's only 30 minutes long so I got off easy today. Much needed, though, my muscles seem really tight again.

Diane Sue - I may have to look into those inserts. I usually buy Spenco's but I'm hoping I won't need them with these shoes. They are pretty comfortable and seem to have good support in them.
 
Today I did Body Beast Build Legs, and added 3 rnds of 12 reps kettlebell Romanian Deadlifts superset with 12 reps kettlebell squats, 47, min, 337 calories. I then did Les Mills Combat 30 live, 33 min, 262 cal.. No stretch on that so I did Shiva Rea's Yoga Shatki, lunge and supine posed, 11 min, 31 cal. Total workout time was 88 min, calories 632.
I need to go turn on the news. The death toll from our state's tornado was climbing when I got up this morning. I can't believe the school didn't have some sort of shelter for the children and teachers.
 
Today I chose to do Push/Pull by Cathe. Had a pretty good workout. Again, didn't go over 35# and that was only with legs. The rest I used 3 - 12# dumbbells.

So far so good...
 
Today's workout was Sharon Twombly's Zero to Sixty 68 min, 470 cal.. I then did Body Beast Abs, 11 min 60 cal. and a circuit of 3 rnds, 15 reps hanging knee ups with a 10# med ball, 1 min all out bike sprint, 10 reps knee ups with a twist, 1 min all out bike sprint, 15 min, 110 cal.. I finished off with Calorie Blast Yoga strong body strong mind segment, 20 min, 60 calories. Total time was 1 hr 54 min and 692 calories.

Today was cardio and I did one of my Cardio Coach tough mixes again. This one is a killer. I did it a few weeks back and I think I added .25 miles to it this time. I'll have to go back and check.

This morning I did P90X 2 PAP Upper, 53 min, 270cal.. I am doing a squat challenge so I did 50 reps squats for day 1. I used light dumbbells. I then did Les Mills Pump Step 32 min, 290 cal.. Max HR 162 :) I finished off with Les Mills Flow 20 min, 87 calories. Total time was 1 hr 47 min and calories burned 663.

Today was yoga and I chose Jillian Michaels Yoga Meltdown and did Workout #2. I think Workout #1 is harder but itn's not supposed to be. :shrug: I should have done #1. Had an ok workout. Yoga isn't interesting me much anymore.

Diane Sue - Thanks! You too but you always have excellent calorie burns! How is your husband? Is he home now?
 
My workout today was X train chest and back along with the squat challenge 55 reps today and I increased the weight to 12# dumbbells and stood on the bosu for part of it but I felt my form was not good for my knee so I got off of it 38 min, 155 cal.. I then did Amy Bento Hi/Lo Dynamics Short mix which included some abs with weight, 37 min, 269 cal.. I finished with Les Mills Combat Core Attack 18 min, 81 cal.. Total time was 93 min and calories burned 505.

Debbie, maybe you just need more choices for the yoga. I love doing it but I like a variety. You have doing a lot of it though. I like doing shorter yoga workouts to loosen up good after my workouts. A long one once in awhile is ok.
 
Today I did Urban Rebounding Extrene Amy Bento Kickbox metabolic intervals 52 mi,481 cal, max hr 167. I then did the Sam workout series with Keli Roberts metabolic Plyometric circuits skipping the w/u and doing the first 2 circuits then abs and stretch, 21 min, 175 calories. Total time 77 min, 669. I forgot , I also did the squat challenge. Today was 60 reps and I used 15# dumbbells. 3 min, 23 calories.
