Morning Maniacs -

This morning I did Day 2 of the M&F Hers Time to Burn Fat Workout. I went thru the circuit 4 times instead of 3 times and added on an extra set of walking lunges - 30 reps, as well as an extra set of biceps and triceps in the last 2 circuits. Used the stability ball for the plank holds and placed 5 pounds on my back for these. I think I might have had the weight plate too low on my back, as my low back feels achy now. For the cardio segment, I did 30 sec's super fast running on the Rebounder (got my HR up to 164) followed by 30 sec's jog on the Rebounder and repeated this 12 times and then did Gliding and Jogging for the last 10 minutes when it tells you to walk or jog and then cooled down for 5 minutes. Workout was 65" and I burned 546 calories.

I then did 10 Min Solutions Rapid Results Pilates - Leg/Butt Segment 10" and the Pilates Stretch segment 10". I also did AM Yoga with Barbara Benagh - Gentle Wake Up segment 35".

So far, I've eaten (that's my other problem with diet - I get up so early and stay up so late.....that I eat too much cuz I only get 4.5 - 5 hours of sleep a night) 12 almonds post circuit workout so I could take my first course of prednisone for the day (couldn't sleep last night cuz of this stupid prednisone I'm on)....and I'm eating breakfast now which is a Danon Light & Fit Sugar Free yogurt, oatmeal, and blueberries. I'll be hungry in a couple hours though!! I'll probably have that McDonalds Asian salad for lunch again, as I have a doctor appointment at 10:30 am and I will probably get out of there right before lunch time.

Diane Sue -I have to ask for the almonds EACH time I get the salad. they don't give them to you unless you ask. Half of the employees don't even know they come with the salad. They are in a little blue packet and are separate. I always get that balsamic vinagarette dressing....it's good and it's only 40 calories per serving. They never give me croutons on my salad and even when I get the Southwest salad, they never give me the tortilla strips either (which I dont' really care about anyway).

I was just looking at the Premixes to see what workout I'm going to want to do on Friday. My discs should be here tomorrow. I'll probably do a total body weight premix and maybe try some kickbox! I hope the music is more along the lines of the Hardcore series. I liked that music best so far.
 
This morning I did Cardio Coach Press Play and had a great workout. My HRM would NOT work at all this morning!!!! It stayed at 54 bpm for the first 15 minutes of my workout and I got so pissed again that I just took it off. I just don't understand this. Damn thing isn't even 6 months old. And why would it work for two workouts after dh fixed it and not now? Oy!!!

So I don't have any cardio stats other then it was 58 minutes (skipped challenge 5 because I ran out of time) and according to my treadmill I burned 383 calories. Travelled 3.5 miles.

I started my workout this morning with I Max2 stopping at the stretch then did the cardio only and stretch of Cardio and weights. I am going to do weights in a little while and some stretching. I don't get my new Cathe dvds till Monday. I just had my protein powder, light soymilk and coffee shake:) Once it settles I will get the rest of my workout in. I don't have to take the girls to school this morning and school is out Thursday & Friday. Plan on playing with the grandchildren tomorrow. Probably will pull out some games.

Lora, I always ask for the almonds and they never know what I am talking about. I like the spicey asian dressing. They do usually put the tortilla strips on the Southwest salad though. I bet they are fried. If I do something like that at home I bake the tortilla till it is crisp and crush it. Don't do that often though.

Good Morning Maniacs!!!

I did not workout yesterday. I know..shame on me. I am working out my arms today and abs. I went in to work yesterday and was feeling very discouraged...some back biting going on there. Wish people would say what is on their mind if they got something to say. Seems you sometimes don't know who your friends are. Sad and disappoints me.

Anyhoo, we ordered some more weight benches and they are delivering them today..should be here in another hour or so.

Eats so far:

okay -- I just entered my food intake from yesterday in that Shape Food Journal. Tell me how bad this is.

Breakfast 534 calorie s- 55.2% carbs; 32.6 protein
lunch - 466 calories - 42.3% carbs 18% protein
Dinner 453 calories - 44.3% carbs and 37.6% protein
snacks - 467 calories - 13.4% carbs - 84.0% protein

total calories were 1920 - fiber 40.7 grams 46.4 grams of fat
plus I ate about 290 more calories of stuff that I didn't enter cuz you only have 30 minutes to enter and it clears and my computer is super slow. So I ate about 2200 calories total................but how bad are my percentages??? ARe they terribly high in carbs??

(I know......I eat a lot.....I'm a little piggie....so please...no comments on how much I eat....as I'm working on it!!)

Lora-Diane Sue- I read on another forum that McD's is going to get rid of their Southwest salad! I only had that one time, but I thought it was really good. Made me think if I'm ever out and can't get to some good food, I'd have that salad as a back up.

Debbie- That's crazy about your HRM! I haven't used mine for awhile, but I know it wasn't much better than my Polar that kept screwing up.

Lisa No one will throw you off the forum for posting your food. LOL! Anyways, I don't think it was bad at all. Who can pass up a snicker bar? Like really, WHO?;)

Toasty Sounds like you need to watch your back at work. Can't trust anyone. Take pics of the new weight benches. You know we all love that kinda stuff!

Yesterday I did BM2 Cardio and weights premix. Not sure what i'm doing tonight cardio probably. My DVD's will be here on Fri I can't wait!!

Diane Sue - I am obsessed about macros and such as well, but it's a good obsession for me. I'd be lost if I didn't count macros every day. The only day I don't is Saturday's and I let loose and eat what I want. It's satisfying and I never gain an ounce doing it. The supplements I take are: 3000 mg. Vitamin C, BCAA's, L-Glutamine and Glucosomine. And you are right, I should be eating more. But for my cutting phase this summer, these calories really worked well. You will see in the coming months that the calories will be going up for my bulking phase. Also, your eats looked yummy from yesterday, especially the apples and cinnamon concoction.

Dallys - I have to eat 6-7 meals a day. And I look forward to each and every one of them!! LOL!!! I've seen edemame a lot that people eat and I have no clue what it is or where you get it? Do you eat it alone or mix it with something else?

Lisa - Great going on your workout!

LOVE how you are all posting your foods! Thanks for letting me do this here! I wasn't sure how you would all respond to it.

Debbie, I just had one drink (and just one serving of the lasagna, lol) ;) Actually, if you restrict yourself to one serving of that, it isn't too bad. Now, the slice of garlic bread is another story. Oh, so decadent!!!! :p

It is going to be a challenge to keep the carbs at 100-120 g per day :) I may have to work towards that. My morning shake takes up about 45 of those grams ... but aren't we supposed to have more carbs in the morning anyway?
 
I ended up not having enough time for Bootcamp (laundry got in the way) so I ended up doing Slim Series Cardio Sculpt and upped the weights in all.

Debbie- Edamame(pronounced ay-duh-MAH-may} is just a soybean. You can buy them in the shell or not. They look similar to a Pea or Green bean. They are great hot-cold-on salads-alone-etc. Check the web for recipes, you can do just about anything with them. I've seen them at Costco in the shell and at the health food store out of the shell. You don't eat the shell, so it kind of slows down your eating if you buy them that way and that can be a good thing. You just boil or steam them until they are tender. Doesn't take long.

Here's why they are good. Seriously check out the fiber and protein in these babies!

Today in the office a girl won 100 Chic-Fil-A sandwiches and offered them up to the rest of us. I declined ... then the wonderful smell got to me (I love Chic-Fil-A). Fortunately, by the time I got to the desk where the sandwiches were, they were already gone! :p

Delaying myself works! :D

Now I am REALLY hungry. I am getting ready to take my rice, beef & veggies downstairs to warm it up!

I am having a scoop and a 1/2 of protein mix with my 12 oz glass of milk plus some grapes

For lunch:

chicken breast, broccoli, sweet potatoe

snack again: tunafish kit

dinner: no clue?? meat and green veggies
 
Good morning!

I'm baaaaack! :) Got home about 5:30 yesterday. Just in time to pick up the dogs. Had to give them both baths b/c they stunk! Poor babies. Unpacked, washed sheets, started other laundry. Saw ghost!!! Okay, saw something flash by from computer room to sewing room. Mentioned it to DH b/c I've seen stuff before and thought it was just my eyes playing tricks & he said he's seen stuff too but just like that - flashes. Funny neither of us has ever mentioned it (being a Christian I don't think I believe in ghosts :)). Middle of the night birds freaked out - birds get "night frights". Hasn't happened for awhile. Happened twice last night. Feathers EVERYWHERE! Since we've lived here, sometimes in the middle of the night Big Bird will all of a sudden say "Hi" or "Hello" - like at 3am or something. She's never done that in any other house. They sleep through the night.

Okay, enough ghost stories for today. I've been cleaning this morning. Haven't eaten anything yet which is good b/c I'm skeeered to post what I eat. I don't eat well - not enough calories and not great ones. I'm well aware of that. I gained 3 pounds on my trip (which I knew I would) and I want to lose them fast! So maybe I'll wait and start posting my eats next week when I'm back at work. K?

Still trying to decide on a workout. Ready to get to it now. Will post it when I'm finsihed. Definitely gonna do weights. Haven't received a shipping notice yet since I ordered so late.

Lora - Great workout this morning!! Is that rotation in the newest M&F Hers? I checked out your meals and it's hard to tell you anything without knowing what you are eating. Plus you don't have your fat intake listed.

Anne - Not good about your back. Sounds like some kind of pinched nerve. You should call your doctor. Take care! Hugs.

Diane Sue - Dang girl, you are like a machine with the cardio! Nice going!

Char - Sorry to hear about the problems at work. I hate backstabbers. They are everywhere.

Penney - Nice workout! Impressive on the leg presses! Glad your energy is back. I'm glad you didn't get your hands on that Chic fil a. Bad stuff!! :)

Randi - Great job on BM2!! Love the abs in that workout! Can't wait to see pics!

Suz - Wow, that is scary and cool at the same time. One of the older houses I lived in with my mom and dad was haunted. We seen and heard stuff all the time. For some reason I find this comforting that ghosts may exist. Not sure why?

Debbie - You know what's weird is that this house isn't very old. We've lived here just over 3 years and it was a year and a half old when we bought it. But hard to say what was on the land, right? The old wild west of Wyoming has lots of history and there are lots of "ghost" stories in Cheyenne. It doesn't really scare me since we've been here 3 years and "it" doesn't do anything bad. :) And if that's what scared our birds I'm sure it didn't mean to. The trash truck was just here and that sent one of them flying b/c she didn't expect it. Scared the crap out of her - literally!

Just had a Carnation Instant Breakfast so I can go work out. See, I TOLD you my eating is crappy. I always have that before I work out (before a ride I'll add a piece of WW toast or I'll bonk). Have since I was in high school. Think I could grow up? :p It's got 20 grams of SUGAR!!! I have it with light soy milk. I just made some decaf coffee so I can have Diane Sue's coffee/soy milk/protein powder drink after my workout. Posting our eats may just help me yet!

Gonna go do Power Hour. LOVE that workout as you know.
