Hardcore Fitness Maniacs for Wed Oct 14

I ended up doing Patrick Goudeau's Dumb Training. Workout was 58" and I burned 400 calories. This was a good workout, as it was mostly compound movements so you kept your HR up and really worked the legs with tons of lunges, etc. The intervals were very short and somewhat lower impact. I can see myself reaching for this one a lot. Not a killer workout, but it seems hard enough to be effective and I really like Patrick's unique FF moves. His workouts make nice complimentary work to Cathe's!

I also did Ravi & Ana's Doctor Yoga House Call - Move for Your Energy - Move Your Life - 10" and Anti-Arthritis segment 10".

I'm bummed cuz I had every intention of getting up an hour earlier so I could do an add on to the Patrick workout and then do an hour of yoga....but I didn't hear my alarm and I have a morning doctor appointment. I really need to start working on that and on moving quicker in the shower, etc.....as I'm so spoiled from being off all of this time and not having to be any where! I'm going to be going crazy when I start my new job......cuz it's 1/2 hour away from home -- plus I have to change my clothes at work, so I'll have to get their early. Too bad I can't find a way to downsize my "morning beauty routine"........yikes...I"m so high maintenance.

Toasty - so far, out of the Yules, I'm really loving Noche Buena (big surprise here), Channukiyah (another surprise) and Diwali! I actually didn't really like Diwali when testing....but loved it when I wore it. I'm wearing La Befana today and while I like it, I'm not a violet lover ....so this one is just okay...as the violet is pretty prominent on me. I guess I'd have to be in the mood to wear it. Did you see the post announcing Will Call and the next Lunar Update? There are going to be anniversary scents!! Get your Paypal account ready!

Diane Sue - I've been eating that Kashi Pilaf stuff for breakfast with cinnamon and a pinch of brown sugar. I make 1/4 cup (measured dry) which I'm pretty sure should make about 1/2 cup cooked (which is a serving size at 170 calories). After I eat it, it doesn't even feel as if I've eaten anything and I usually eat a 60 calorie yogurt with it. I don't understand this! It has the same amount of protein as oatmeal. I really love the texture of this stuff. I'm going to have to find it at a store around here so I don't have to pay shipping again.

Have great workouts everyone.

ooooopppppppppppppppppssssssss

just realized I put OCTOBER in the subject line instead of November. Hope everyone finds this thread okay!

Randi

This morning was cardio so I chose Cardio Coach #3 and challenge #2 of Cardio Coach #1. Won't mention the HRM. But it wasn't as bad as the last time I used it. Yeesh!!

Cardio Stats:
1 hour
48 min. in zone
296 calories burned (according to my stupid HRM, 359 calories burned according to my treadmill)
3.5 miles travelled

Had a great workout, had a hard time getting my HR up at the beginning.

Good morning, I started my workout with 4 day split Bootcamp w/up and cardio, then I did the double cardio premix of HIS/LIS skipping the w/up. I will go back and do Slo Mo chest, biceps and triceps in a little while. I have my grandson here today because he was sick.

Lora, I like the Kashi Pilaf too. I buy it at Buy 4 less. I think that they have it at Target here too. You might find it at Amazon or somewhere like that. Maybe you should just make a larger serving of it. I think my Lush order would have been here yesterday but Fed X left a note on the door because I was out. I didn't have to sign for it last time.

Good Morning Maniacs!!!

I worked out while watching Biggest Loser last night. Just took my weights upstairs and worked my shoulders and did ab work earlier.

Today I am gonna do Cathe's Chest/Back from slow and heavy series. I need to switch things up. My abs have adjusted too much to ab ripper which is easy for me. I did ab work to LIC and felt like I NEVER worked my abs before. GOSH! It was hard so I gotta keep switching.

Gonna be job hunting as well today. Got to get my butt moving.

Lora,

Lawd! I can't keep up with all the oils. lol. My yules are coming now. Just got a C&S.

Toasty - the Violet finally calmed down in the La Befana. I like it more now. Which Yules did you order? I need to order more of the ones above cuz they are multiple bottle ones in my book! Don't have enough money though. Need to sell some stuff!! LOL

Diane Sue - I guess I'll try a larger serving. I'm worried about running out and the DH has been real crazy about spending money lately!

Lora,

The Yules I decided with are: Snowstorm, Snow White and Lick It Again. Then you know I ordered La Befena as well..that one will come much later though. My villianess soaps have shipped out. Maybe I get them today.

Toasty - I didn't like The Snowstorm. Love Snow White and Lick It Again is nice...but doesn't last long on me...........loving Chanikkiyah (spelling?), Noche Buena and Diwali though.......not sure what the reviews of those are like! Geez.....I love Formula 54 and that's all I have left is about an imp's worth. I hoard it!

Hey Maniacs! Today will be another circuit from the New DVDs. Bootcamp circuit lowerbody. I have the day off and have been dinking around all morning. I'm still in my jammies!:p

Diane Sue The premixes in this new series seem pretty good, don't you think?

Randi I hope work goes fast for you!

Char- Good luck on the job hunting. Can't imagine anything more fun.:p

Lora-All the grocery stores around here carry that Kashi Pilaf now, even Wal-mart. Check your stores again. It might be there. Usually way up on a top shelf so you can't see it. I've seen it on the rice isle and the cereal isle, depending on store.

Debbie ROFLMAO!I know I'm hot, but I rout for the other team... BACK OFF STALKER!!

Bionics,

Nothing like being a beggar. :p Just Kidding.

ETA: The weather man is a liar. Was told be in 70's so I open all the windows. Froze my butt off and had to turn heat on for a few minutes.

Gonna do my chest/back later this evening. I am all glamourous now for my job hunting and I can't get all hot and sweaty before I go, ya know? lol

I finished Amy's Slo Mo chest, bis and tris. I increased some of the weights above what she is doing. I bet I feel it tomorrow because I was burning:D I had my coffee, protein powder, soymilk smoothie this morning after cardio. I just finished a large salad with left over roast beef, mixed greens, onion, sprinkle of feta and fat free ranch mixed with low carb barbecue sauce. I will probably have another smoothie later. Dinner will incorporate yellow squash. I have to look at recipes:)

Lora, you should not have to worry about buying Kashi Pilaf. You have to eat!

Dallys, I have really used those premixes on Cathe's new series. I like them alot.

Charlotte, I got a shipping notice on my Villainous stuff yesterday too. I figured it would arrive tomorrow or Friday though. I love that Osh shun scent that you sent. I used the nocturne and slept well last night. Wonder if it worked. I liked the smell of it:)Good luck with the job hunting.

Randi, I had thought some floor work would be good with Cathe's lower body 4 day split too.

Mornin'!

Yesterday I had the WORST migraine. :( I came into work but I left at 1. I try not to leave work for a migraine, but I couldn't even keep my eyes open it was pounding so hard. My drugs weren't working so I went home and slept. That helped some. This morning I felt like a million bucks. :)

I did CC#6 with Candace. If I weighed 150 pounds I would have burned 445 calories. I really need to remember to put my weight in there. But I like that calorie burn so I think I'll leave it. :p Less weight means less calories burned, right?

I know that I need to do weights. But since once again I missed a workout yesterday, I think that given weights over cardio I must do cardio for my heart and for my stress. Plus, I know that I'm a cardio junkie after all my years as a runner. It's a hard mindset to change. But I do love (well...) weights and know the importance of them as I age. It's just been a rough road with that sore throat thing that slowed me down and then this migraine. Usually I can workout through them, but not this one. :(

Deb - Glad to see the stalkers are gone for now. I'll send my ghost after them too. Haven't seen him in awhile so I'm sure he's looking for something to do. :) Although I believe he's been playing with the clock radio in the kitchen in the mornings.

Dallys - You crack me up! Hope you have fun with your circuit workout!

Diane Sue - I've heard EXCELLENT things about Amy's SloMo workouts. I seen clips from it and quite honestly, it doesn't look all that hard to me, and the exercises look weird. But from the reviews I've read, soreness is an absolute. Great going with the workout!

Suz - Nice going with CC #6. Have you tried #7 yet? I love that one! I just think it's so cool that you have a ghost. I wish we had one.

Char - Hope you have fun with S & H. I haven't done that series in ages.

Lora - Nice workout this morning. Great calorie burn too.

Randi - Hope you have a kick ass workout!!!

Debbie - We have this clock radio in our kitchen that we leave on for the birds. Usually DH doesn't touch it in the mornings, only at lunch when he comes home (he turns it off while he's there and *usually* turns it back on before he leaves). This morning when I came upstairs after my workout it was on. I thought, "How nice of him to turn it on." When I got ready to leave the house it was off. So I asked DH if he turned it on this morning or if maybe that was yesterday morning and I'm just confused. He said he never turns it on in the morning. So either way, I'm not sure why it was on when I came upstairs. We don't set it with the alarm, we simply use the volume up and down so it has to be manually turned. Hmmm... Maybe DH turned it on and just forgot.

Yup, I LOVE CC#7 too. And I love that the first challenge is so long and then you're almost halfway through your workout. It's a great one, isn't it? :)

Anne, that is great that you will be breaking ground soon. I bet you are getting excited:)

Suz, sorry you had a bad time with the migraine.

Debbie, Slo Mo is hits differently than you would imagine watching the clips. Reps may be long and vary. The moves are done differently too. I really like doing something different.
