Morning Maniacs -

This morning was WSFL Weights, Metabolic circuits and HIIT. This was the heavy squats with metabolic circuits of pushup/prone jacknive, lunge with row and pullups/shoulder press/squat circuits. I alternated shoulder raises with presses to baby my shoulders a bit and alternated between pullups (with chair assist) and lat pulldowns with double extreme band and other band. Alternated the lunge cable row with holding a heavy DB.

I did the cardio intervals on the Rebounder and jogged around the house and down the cellar steps for the cardio. Cardio was 30/90 intervals/6 rounds with W/U & C/D but I think I accidentally did an extra set. Workout was 63" with a Cathe Low Impact Stretch and I burned 519 calories.

Linda - I answered your post on yesterdays thread RE: Afterburn. I need your email addy to forward Alwyn's newsletter with that Perform Better workout. I signed up for his mailing list...so I get emails from him. Also need to tell you something else....so I'll email you a note as well.

Deb - here's one song for you -- Anew Revolution is the Band and the song is Done. I haven't heard the others I liked yet. Have you tried Avon's Superfull Mascara? Is it good? I'm thinking of trying it.

Good Morning Maniacs!!!

Today I am gonna do some running/power walking combo. I don't want to get too crazy with the cardio cuz later I am gonna work chest/back/triceps so my strength training will be much longer.

Funny, I am down to 117 now. I have to go back to fitday and figure out the cals again. My tuna fish is 6oz and was thinking it was 3oz so that makes a huge difference.

Just checked out fitday again. My cals were 1806 yesterday after I made adjustments. Explains the weight going down now. lol.

This morning I did one of my Cardio Coach mixes. Had a great workout. It's cool here again this morning and it looks like rain. I can't believe it is only suppose to be a high of 63 today. WTF??? Oh, I also got a new battary for my HRM. It worked perfect this morning.

I also did the ab work from Muscle Endurance. Got a great burn with that workout.

Did you guys miss me? I been off work sickx( I am better had the flu EEK! I haven’t worked out since Saturday. I tell you, and it NEVER fails every time I start a P90X rotation I get sick, really! }( Any who, Time to get my mind right and get busy. I started with a sloooow steady jog.

Cardio Stats:
50 minutes
3.44 miles travelled
355 calories burned
 
Good Morning, I am taking a break to let the dogs outside because a storm is getting ready to hit. I did Tracey Staehle's Strie ZOne repeating strike 4,10,&11. During the brief breaks I kicked my heavy bag. I burned 556 calories. Workout was 1hr 12 minutes with w/up and finding my own zone with hr monitor. I am going to go do Circuit zone upper premix and Jari's Ripped and Chiseled.

Teddy, sorry you have been sick. I thought flu season was done:0

Good morning.
I was so sore last night, and now I have come down with a sore throat. Yay... But today is Step Jump Pump. I am going to get some breakfast and hope this sore throat lets up. I have to work all night tonight!

Char- that info you posted on your page is really good. Doing the fitday thing now also.

Teddy- hope you are feeling better as well. Don't ya love being sick?

Lora- Your WO's have been good, I have been following them. I love Avon makeup...pretty much all of mine is Avon.

Deb- I love the ab work from ME. Always feels good.

Hi Everyone I didn't do any my w/o this morning, just wasn't feeling it. Felt like I needed more rest. It's okay I will do it tonight or if not then I'll get back on it tomorrow morning. I do feel a lot better when I start my day with excersise though. I can tell a difference in the way I'm feeling this morning.

Lora - Looks like you're gonna ride it out with the WS w/o. Good for you.

Charlotte - Glad you checked your cals and they are up, instead of not enough. My eating has been getting better, I just don't count my cals like I used to. Your w/o looks like it's gonna be a good one!

Teddygirl - I did miss reading your posts and was thinking of you yesterday. Glad to hear you're back and you're gonna get back into things slowly!

Diane Sue - I'm still looking and reading reviews about Strike Zone, for the most part everyone seems to like it a lot, so I'm trying to decide if I'm gonna purchase TJ's or Strike Zone.

My husband is all about that website you suggested, he follows but tweaks some things. He's also logging his food online, not at fitday but on the web site you visit.

Diana: I thought so toox( I was wondering if me getting sick had all to do with getting into pool last week, hm.......... I’m feeling better still a bit weak, I know, because I had to jump off my treadmill several times too caught me breath:*

Debbie: I noticed we both did 50 minutes, LOL:) My plan was to do CC8 but couldn’t find it in my IPod, that was weird. I know I copied it from my hard drive. I did a slow steady jog on me:+ treadmill. And it was tough too, truth is, I could not have handle CC8 this morning still need to build up my strength, one day at a time:D

Morning Maniacs! Today is supposed to be a weight circuit workout day, but dh wants to go for a bike ride in the canyon after work. Since it's such a tough ride, I'll do my weight circuit workout tomorrow.

Char- My speeds on my bike won't seem that impressive because of the fat tires. I looked and my average for my ride yesterday was 13mph. What type of tires does your bike have? If they are skinny road bike type tires, you should get alot faster speeds. Do you have a speedometer on your bike? Makes it alot of fun!

Lora- great workout! Has it been hard doing HIIT after the weight workout?

Debbie- The weather has been weird here too. Went from cool, straight to hot! It's going to be in the 90's today! I want to see that movie!:)

Teddy- sorry you've been sick, especially when starting a new rotation, ruins the flow of it all. Every time I start a P90X rotation, I get an injury and have to modify everything!

Meg- I just recently got over a sore throat. It was horrible! Set me back weeks in my fitness! Hope your's won't be like that.

Diane Sue- Nice workout! Hope the storm won't be to bad. My dog hates storms and things. She's already losing it because she heard a one little fire cracker!

Sandy- Some days you just don't feel it, I know. It is a nice feeling to start the day out with some exercise. Just makes the whole day better.

Morning Maniacs,

Today was what should have been the day one of week four of WS, but since I am all messed up on my schedule it was my third w/o of the week. And all I can say is by the end of all I wanted to do is puke. Your suppose to have a protein drink during this w/o out and I can't do it or I really would get sick.

Squats w/ 2 sec hold
8/8/8/8 - 105#

Circuit - 10 minutes @ sets of 12
SLDL's - 90#
Crunches on Ball
Completed 6 rounds (it's these crunches that kill me, you do them with your navel at the apex of the ball and hyperextend the back and halfway thru I always feel like I want to puke, then the rest of the w/o just intensifies that feeling)

Circuit - 10 @ sets of 12
Step Ups - Bodyweight
Dumbbell Swings - 37#
Completed 6 rounds (nothing like realizing at the end of a rotation that you have been doing an exercise wrong, on the step ups your back foot is not suppose to touch the top of the step, so I got rid of the weight and focus on the proper form today)

Then interval cardio of 30 high/ 90 low, did Jack & jabs, sprints and jump kicks for intervals and just walked around for recovery.

I finished up my workout. I did Tracey's Circuit Zone upper starting with my weighted gloves for the "girlfight" w/up segment, most weights were heavier than they use, then I did Jari Love's Ripped and Chiseled adding a few extra reps during her pauses as this is supposed to be high rep supersets, I stopped at the stretch and did the stretch from Strike Zone. Jari sits and chats while stretching and it seems they forget what they are supposed to be doing. Burned 472 calories during weights and stretch. Total today was 1009 calories burned. I just read my last post. Can't edit. I hate when I hurry and my spelling is off and I leave things out.

Teddy, that flu will zap the strength out of you. Maybe you should go back at your workouts a little slow for a bit.

Dallys, we have a family dvd from 4th of July. My dogs get all excited when they hear the fireworks on it and run in circle barking. I bought the grandchildren balloons for balloon tying and after a few popped the dogs are wary LOL

Linda - Amazing workout. So when you do these circuits there are no rests between each cycle? Like with the first circuit you do
SLDL's/Crunches
then go back to
SLDL's/Crunches

with no rest? And you did this 6 times? Am I reading this right? Wow, your HR must have really gotten up there with these.

Diane Sue - Nice workout and calorie burn!
 
Debbie - Yes you are reading that right. It is cycling between the two exercises non-stop for 10 minutes, absolutely no rest. I can manage to do six rounds in the 10 minutes. I haven't tried wearing my heart rate monititor while doing these, but I can tell you I am huffing and puffing the whole time. My DH was laughing at me the one day. The worse part is after completing those two circuits you have to do intervals and by that point I just want to be done! LOL!
 
Linda - Wow, that's crazy! I know I wouldn't like that rotation! LOL!!! Have you seen any changes to your body doing this rotation? Has your body fat dropped?

Yeah, my tires are thinner. I do have a few mountain bikes, but I always ride the same one that is not mountain. Honestly, when I am on bike I feel like at times I am not burning anything..like when you go down hills. Duh. hehe. So I just wonder, overall..what I am burning, speeds, etc. I got a hrm for wrist, but I am really thinking it is crap as I can't get it to work just so.

The workout looks like killer style. No wonder you felt like puking. I did yesterday, but think as it closer to TTOM my stomach acts up cuz it happened before like that. Anyhow, FANTASTIC JOB!

Hope you get your rest and tomorrow you will feel much stronger for it! Feel like dodo thinking tuna in can was 3 oz..just doesn't seem like 6 oz so I was wondering cuz I only feel like I am starving more at night, not during the entire course of the day.

Hey again! Grabbing a quick Cappuccino Slim Fast here, I'm starving! Only had one piece of toast this morning as I wasn't hungry at all. Just no time to eat anything really good yet, plus I'm out of food.

Char- Yeah, that's why I was surprised (and quite happy!) with my calorie burn on the easier bike ride (no big hills though, so I was constantly pedaling). You need to get that hrm working so you can see what burns you're getting. Where is this nutrition info. you are talking about? I can't seem to find it. Is it somewhere else in cyperland?
