Morning Maniacs -

I'm getting ready to do my workout. My motivation has left the building. I'm not in a very good mood this morning. I'll be back after my workout.
 
Good morning!

I was going to sleep in this morning. I was SOOOO tired last night. But some cows must be close b/c I heard them mooooooooooooooing. So I decided I might as well get up. DH and I are going to ride this evening IF a) he doesn't get called in for who knows what (really, he rarely does - and he's not the staff on call so he won't get "called" about anything this week) and b) it isn't raining (we actually do get a lot of afternoon/evening thunderstorms in the summer).

I'm going to do PUB this morning. Haven't done that one in ages and ages. Should kill me. Something different about you calling the shots and Cathe calling the shots, isn't there?

Lora - Cheer up my little friend. You don't want to work at The Buckle with a bunch of snobby kids anyway if that's how it is! I'm sure there are other places at the mall you could work. What about the bigger department stores. I've had friends my age who've worked at J.C. Penney's for years and loved it.

Good Morning Maniacs!!!

Gonna be like Yogi Bear and go camping with parents today. Calling for rain the entire time. I sure hope not!!!!

No w/o yes. Had to get the phone upgrade mess fixed at Verizon..I was there 2 hrs.
Never order new phones on line. They were junk..You need to see them. Then have to send them back and go to the mall for new ones and have a hard time turning them on because 2nd set of phones this week.. This has to have been the biggest headache.Then i had to have DH put me on to make decisions because they wouldn't talk to me. I pay the bill!@!!!!!!!!

Well tonite is CC # something and shoulders bi and tri.
I had to cut it short mon and only did back and abs and CC # i forget.
AArgh..

I ended up doing Brain Muscle with Michael-Gonzaelez Wallace Levels 3-4 back to back and then I did Lotte Berk Blast Essentials 10". I then did the stretch from Fitness Fix. Total workout before the added on stretch and Lotte Berk Blast was 70" and I burned 330 calories. Forced myself not to do any extra cardio today, as I'm supposed to be trying to cut back on it for a while to shock my body. I also did Ravi & Ana's Fat Free Yoga - Total Body Tune Up - Warm Up and Open Up segment 30".

Suz - thanks for trying to cheer me up. My DH doesn't really want me to go into retail anyway.

Have great workouts ladies. I have to go apply for a job I saw online yesterday. It's a receptionist job at a Retirement/Assisted Living Community in the Subburbs. Had to get all dressed up just to go hand over my resume!!
 
Surprisingly, my abs are not sore today. I was really hoping they would be. Oh well. :)

Blah! Today was cardio. I did Cardio Coach #6 with Sean and had a fairly decent workout. My new HRM keeps messing up. It's almost worse then my Polar was now. I'm so mad about this!!! The first challenge of this workout is 18 minutes and the entire time my HRM would go below 89 bpm and then jump up to 185 bpm. WTF??? I finally adjusted the strap and put the receive right on my breast bone instead of below it. It seemed to work better that way but it's really hard to keep it up that high. I just don't get why I have such a hard time with these devices.

I doubt this is accurate, but here are my cardio stats:
1:00 hr./ 44 min. in zone/345 calories burned
Travelled 3.37 miles

Now that I have a better appreciation of heart rate monitors since I got one...that was a good workout, girl!

Just finished PUB. Good grief! I'm a lot more lenient on myself with the rests in between than Cathe is. :) You're right Char - she shows no mercy. I just matched her weights (except when she did 12's on biceps I had to do 12.5 because my Bowflex weights don't have 12's). I know you all probably double the weights on this one! :p I forgot that the abs in this use the stability ball and have those stinkin' pikes that I still can not master. I'm all over the place. Quite hilarious to watch, I'm sure. Makes me angry. I hate ending my workout on a negative note. I throw a little hissy fit and then come upstairs. x(

And yes, I take a longer rest then Cathe does too. Ectomorph body types are suppose to anyways, from what I have read. Suits me fine. lol. Pikes are not easy and there will still be other ones that will challenge us. For me, one arms...plyo pushups...chatarunga planks. It's alright though you go a million miles on your bike in record speed with an inhaler in hand!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GOSH! And I can still curl with 40's. lol.
 
Great - just got home from the foot doctor and I have another stress fracture. It's the metatarsal right next to the previous one that was fractured. He said it's common for some people to get them in the bone next to the previous break cuz after it heals the bone bows out a little making the next joint unstable. I'm in a boot and not allowed to do anything! I already tried the bike and ellipitcal with my boot on and even tried stepping and rebounding. This sucks and I'm going to be walking in Vegas in 2 weeks!!

I got my workout in. Cleared up some more clutter and threw away more magazines and stuff. My workout was BOSU blast stopped at the core and walked jogged on the treadmill for 2 miles, then did the core work from bosu blast, I added 3 sets of 20# decline crunches 20 reps, 3 sets of hanging knee raises with 10# medicine ball 15 reps, 5 sets of banana holds for 35 sec (up 5 sec from last time) with shoe weights and 10# dumbbell. I finished with Eoin Finn's PYFH magically hips yoga no shavasana.

Charlotte, enjoy the camping. Rained the whole time we were camping. Did a lot of wandering around with the dogs in the mud:)

Anne, thanks about the new grandchild. Those latest e mails were something else LOL Wonder what guys were crazy enough to have pictures taken looking like that.

Lora, I am so sorry. Maybe you can just tighten up your diet and stick with weights and yoga till after Vegas. I know it will be hard but you can do it. You don't want to get there and not be able to walk. And I was just getting ready to tell you that once I had mentioned I thought the bosu aggravated the Plantar Fasciitis but it hasn't since the first time. I went back and looked at the workout days before that and saw I had done a lot of long treadmill running.

Debbie, I always find it annoying when I have to waste my workout time trying to mess with some gadget. Sorry you had problems with your hr monitor.

Suz, I don't know what it is about those biceps on Pyramid upper but I always feel like my arms are going to fall off before I finish. I don't take rests but do have to go lighter to do it at the pace Cathe does. Then after your arms are so fatigued those pikes are killer.

Lora - Sorry about your foot. No fun!

Charlotte - Curl with 40s? Not me! My arms would fall off! I don't take breaks with Cathe because I'm always in a hurry to finish my workout. But when I'm doing my own weight workout I take longer breaks. I'm easier on myself. :)

I think I'm going to ride the bike for the next 2 weeks....cuz in the office he was actually going to say that was okay....but then he said - but you can't ride the bike with your boot on cuz your ankle won't bend. I don't need to bend my ankle....just my knee. I am going to be sick of the bike and Cardio Coach! The bike aggravates my sciatica also. I'll see how it goes in a few days and maybe I can do the ellipitical with my boot on. I even tried step aerobics and rebounding with the boot on. My bad!! When I go back to circuits next week, I guess I'll have to modify the burpees, jump rope, etc. somehow.

I still blame all of this on the prednisone! The same prednisone that lowered my immunity and thus the reason I caught this horrid cold and prednisone causes your bones to be brittle!
 
DH and I are getting ready to go ride soon. He's putting my new bike computer on. It's getting kinda windy. Wind builds character. :p I'm watching the Tour de France that we recorded from yesterday and they're riding in a headwind up a big mountain so I'll try to remember that when I want to complain. Oh - and they just mentioned this guy who has stitches in both knees and his elbow. Forgot about him. Okay, I won't complain!

Lora,that would be good if you could still ride the bike. How long did the dr. say it would take to heal?

Suz, today was my dd's birthday her and her husband went out to ride around the lake. She says it is 9 miles and it was windy so it slowed down their time. She has hardly been able to use her new bike and she got it for mother's day. It has rained here almost constantly till the last couple of days. Have fun. You know you enjoy it even when it's windy:)
