Hardcore Fitness Maniacs for Tues October 2

Lora, give the Mizunos a little time and workout with them on. I felt instantly uncomfortable but figured that my feet are being turned in a way that they are not used to. I did a treadmill workout and KB and Step with them on to see how my feet felt when I took them off. I did not have the usual foot discomfort when I was done. I think my feet were used to going their own way(wrong way). After a couple of weeks I would not change. Since we have been camping I have worn the Saucony crosstrainers and have had numb toes by evening. { I did not want to get my Mizunos dirty). I hope they help you. If you got them from Zappos their return is great. If they do not work you could try some of the brooks for over pronators. They have wide widths. I looked at them but people seemed to be saying they fit their narrow foot. Not sure if they were trying narrow shoes though. I also worried that the heel would not fit snugly. If your feet are turning wrong you dont want them to just keep staying comfortable turning the wrong way. That is what I think anyway. Don't want the toe area squished either.

Yes! I agree. Debbie looks wonderful and she's getting the look that she wants, which is what alot of people here are after.

Ended up going Mexican. I just got a side of beans and rice and skipped the entre'. I can't say I didn't have any chips and salsa! How could you not have chips and salsa? Like, let's get real.

Diane Sue - Yes, I figured I'd ask you if they require a "break in" period. They feel a bit stiff. Do they feel better after you wear them? They feel too snug in my bunion area....and I loosened the laces but the laces are so short that I can't loosen them any longer. My left bunion has gotten so bad that it is so easily irritated. It may have just gotten irritated from the shoes being laced too tight and maybe the fact that they are 1/2 size too small isn't helping. I guess I should wait until the size 10s come....but I'm anxious to know if they will work. I definitely can tell that I do overpronate and how they correct that. My PF is still bad...but I do feel some relief just from wearing them around the house all day. This will not be good though if they are the only shoes I can wear after a while.....cuz I have 2 brand new pair of Saucony's in the boxes! Is your bunion so bad that it rubs horribly on all of your shoes now? I hate that!

RE: Bread and Chips & Salsa -- I can pass up white bread any time, but not warm wheat bread or the bread at Australian Outback ....it's brown....pumpernickel?? and chips and salsa...........love them......but if we do get them, I'll limit myself to around 7-10 chips and make them take the basket away!

Hey Ladies:)
Today I did PLB. Then went shopping I bought the shirt that Cathe wore at the "meet and greet" party. The brown one at Arden B. on the Road Trip. It is so cute on. IT looked great on cathe as well:)
Debbie I know you've been really busy but is it possible for you to "tweek" the October rotation and make it harder:)?
Have a great evening Ladies

Thanks everyone for your warm welcome! Isn't Debbie awesome? :D

I do work with a trainer 2x monthly ... I signed up for the one-year package and it was pretty reasonable :)

Today was legs! Tim switched the routine, so squats, for now, are out :( ... but I still wobbled home! ;)

Leg Press: 15x110lbs, 15x120lbs, 2x15x130lbs
He put me here in place of the squats. I get a fuller range of motion here (but I will miss squats!) He said next time he'll have me do front squats, lol

Leg Extensions: 3x15x75lbs
This one is always a burner!

Lay Down Leg Curls: ]15x55lbs, 2x15x60bls
I am using a different machine now, which puts you at an angle ... and makes it harder:p

Standing Calf Raises: ]3x15x90lbs
It's been a while since I have trained calves directly. This really burned! :D

I am nice and sore from yesterday's workout. Hopefully my leggies will be sore tomorrow :)

I came down with either a cold or allergies today ... ugh I've been tired, sore throaty and sniffly. I hate when this happens! :(

Have a nice night ladies! :)

Dallys, I love great bread. That is why I quit baking it myself. One of the restaurants we used to frequent had the best bread. It was really dense and dark and had honey on the outside. Didn't need butter. I just wanted to eat it.

Penney, sorry about the chips and salsa lol. I think we are supposed to be encouraging each other not to eat that stuff. I bet having the trainer give you a base for what to do. Sounds good to me. Glad to see the trainer is changing it up.

Diane Sue, I love great bread too ... Longhorn has amazing whole wheat bread. When it's warm and slathered with butter ... uuummmm :p

I swung by your website and you look great!

Dallys - We had Mexican last night. And yup, I had a few chips and salsa. I can actually resist those, so I didn't have too many. If I go for lunch with friends I can totally turn them down. I was starving last night by the time we went so I allowed myself a few. I sure wish I could resist the bread at the Macaroni Sin Palace, but that's the whole reason I go. I wish I didn't have to order a meal! :)

Diane Sue - My almost new breadmaker sits on my counter because I am afraid that if I make bread I'll eat it. I wish there was some healthy bread I could make to eat sometimes. My whole goal was to make whole wheat bread, but you all remember how that turned out since I live at high altitude. I never was able to make it work. I'm so bummed. :(

Lora - I love the bread at Outback. Yummy!

Penney - Another great workout! I guess we should be talking about workouts instead of all this yummy food.

If I make bread I keep going back for more. You need to find a good bread machine book and follow the high altitude instructions. One of the Oxygen Magazines had a recipe for Ezekial bread in it. I love that bread. The same company makes a low carb bread that is really good. I have found when I use whole grains I need some gluten flour. Also maybe your yeast was not good. I put mine in some warm water with a pinch of sugar to see if it starts to foam if I really want to be sure. Most of the time I can tell by the texture of the dough if it is going to be good or not.
