>Penney, would you do that????

Debbie, I'll post my eats here. I have to take baby steps again, lol, so first it'll be just items, then I'll slide into the macros and cals again.

I'm glad to hear your hubby is eating better. Rick eats whatever I fix for him, but then he'll turn around an hour or so later & pull out a Little Debbie, or some other yummy treat. Ack!
x(

Thanks for being the friend you are! :D

Hey again! Taking a short break here.

Debbie- I think it's a great idea to post our food for the day. Might help some of us (me) be more accountable. I'll post my food in a bit.

Diane Sue- My dog rarely barks. Mostly when when we ask her to speak and she gets a treat.:) She has a very loud scary-big-dog bark, but she rarely uses it. I had whippets before her and they didn't bark either.

Penney I'll just post items too. No macros etc.

back to work...

Slowly adding in more carbs, I have been doing really low carbs all summer to get defined and it worked wonderfully. Not liking the idea of adding more, but I know I need to for a while.

Spent the day with dh today. I will have to hit elliptical when I get home from work tonight. I could post my meals..ya'll would get bored quickly. Pretty much eat the same exact thing everyday. Oy! Today was an exception while running around with dh. I will start posting my food tomorrow. Great idea, Debbie.

Lora,

Put on Schroedinger's Cat today and this one is really a good one!!!! Love it. So pretty and light and smelling a touch of lime in there. Ummmm..nice. Wearing Incubus now...the description of notes is right on with this one..reminds me of HellCat in similiarity. Nice.

Deb - if I ate like you, I would be ripped too!! Your diet is awesome. I'm not really into 80's music. The 80's were some bad times for me with my sordid past. Everything exploded at the end of the 80's for me. I never really got into the music....not sure if the 2 reasons are connected or not.

Diane Sue - thanks....I ordered the Sexy STraight Hair stuff on Amazon. I'm only skeptical it will work on my coarse/frizzy mop.

Toasty -I'm glad you're enjoying your oils. I haven't been able to smell very good. Just started a heavy dose of prednisone for my nasal polyps. Can't be doing this all of the time though.

Great workouts everyone. I think I'll just read the diet info. I have too many bad habits to post my eating. I do pretty good....but I know I eat way more carbs then you ladies since i don't eat meat. I also eat too often cuz I'm always famished. I am interested in seeing what you ladies eat though to try to get ideas for less carbs and more protein....but there's not much I like with protein in it besides low fat cheese and Kashi Go Lean High protein cereal. I'm super picky.

I've got to go apply for some temp agencies online......I'll be all night on this slow computer.

JUST GOT MY SHIPPING notice for the Cathe DVDs.

Debbie, I really miss your diet journal on bb.com. We'd all be ripped to shreds if we ate like you do! :)

I am not posting my macros today, but I'll post what I ate. Tomorrow starts the macro madness again ;)

My goals are:
Protein: about 150 g
Fat: 60-80g
Carbs: 100-120 g (It's gonna be hard to keep the carbs this low ... I love carbs!)

I am not so concerned about calories. If I stay within these parameters the cals will take care of themselves. I'll still post them.

I delivered my grandchildren to their homes this afternoon. My son and son in law went to help with a field trip at the school my dd teaches at. They both just arrived when I picked up the children. I finally got my notice from Cathe's on the dvd's for the 22nd.

Penney and Debbie, Macros? I used to keep track of those with my pocket diet program. Right now I am doing it for my dh. Boy would I be putting stuff in there all of the time. I think maybe I will just post what I eat for now. Funny thing is when I get that obsessed I tend to not want to eat because I have to put it in there. I lose to much weight. Maybe I will try it again. I ususally average around 2200 calories a day.

Debbie, what are some of those supplements you are eating? It doesn't seem like you eat much.

Lora, I am sorry the 80's was a bad time for you. I would imagine that music from a bad time would not be a good reminder. Now my true era was before that:) Makes me seem ancient.

Diane Sue: Jotting macros down is a full-time job, isn't it? Yikes! But it does keep things on track.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I am just jotting down what I ate today - no calories or macros. That starts tomorrow.
Breakfast: Protein smoothie. I mix fresh fruit, plain yogurt, sometimes raw oatmeal, and ff milk. Today I had strawberries. Yum! :D
Lunch: Pre-packaged salmon steak & some mixed veggies.
Snack: 2 packages plain oatmeal sweetened with/Stevia, 1 stick string cheese, 1/2 package of sunflower seeds.
For supper we are having lasagna w/one slice of garlic bread, and some mixed veggies. Possible drink tonight with Rick.
Tomorrow I am eating clean for all meals.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Cardio today: 20 minutes HIIT on the elliptical, levels 5-10. Short and brutal!

Went to wal-mart and they had alot of the Sexy hair product, but not the staightening stuff.:(

Eats for today:

B-Oatmeal-protein powder-Skim milk-berries
L-Broccoli/edemame salad-whole wheat english muffin w/PB&J
D-Black beans-brown rice-corn-salsa-swiss cheese-2 tortilla chips crunched on top.:9
S-2 newmans own choclate chip cookies(their so freakin' tiny!)

I'm back to 3 meals and one or two snacks a day instead of the 5-6 meals I've been trying to doing. I just get to obsessive and anal about food that way and totally quit enjoying it. Right now, I'm just trying to eat good healthy food that I like and just keep an eye on portion control. I'm sick of meat, so you might not see much of it in my daily eats. But, all that could change at a moments notice.;)

Macros smacros....................I can't calculate that stuff. My brain can't comprehend it!! I'll just stop eating!!! LOL

Diane Sue - The 70's music was more of the "good time" music for me, as I was still a little sane at that point in my life. Carefree days of high school, etc. First loves.....first of this and first of that and then SOME!!! LOL.

I forgot - I tore out a page of Shape magazine that has a blurb about shape.com/foodjournal in it. States you can enter what you eat in a day and it will break it down in calories, fat and fiber by meal and for the whole day. I'll have to check that out. I can handle that....but I can't handle percentages and such. I know what I need to do with my diet, but I can't figure out how to do it. Need more protein, less carbs and watch sugar grams while finding things that I can swallow that don't gross me out!!!!

Diane Sue Your baked apple sounds delish! How did you cook it?

Lora Have you ever looked at Fitday or Sparkpeople? Even if you log for only a couple of weeks, it gives you a good idea of where you are at and it does all the macro smacro calculating for you (sparkpeople even has a vegetarian menu all planned out for you). Don't be afraid of posting your eats, as we all eat differently and it doesn't matter.:) I'm sure people would be interested as you are vegetarian and it's just nice to see the variety and gives us all ideas. No pressure though, really.:)
ETA: I looked at the shape website you posted and it looks similar to the others I mentioned. You should try it.:)

Penney Love your new avatar! You are rockin' it!}(

Dallys -I will check it out tomorrow. I'm headed to bed. I did have my Asian Salad from McDonald's with the Edamane in it today with the low cal balsamic vinagarette dressing for lunch. Those little beans don't taste too bad in that salad and I like the crunchy almond pieces on top. I don't like the Asian dressing that comes with it though. Funny thing is that I haven't read Skwigg's Blog since she did me in with the Chocolate Lucky Charms last time!! I"m afraid to read it now! Have you read it lately? Is she still doing TT?

Lora, they really do put the almond pieces on that salad? I thought I was losing my mind when I kept asking at a local Macdonalds and they would give me peanuts and croutons:( THought maybe I had Macdonalds mixed up with Wendy's mandarin chicken salad or something. I finally just gave it up at that Macdoalds. They do ok on most of the salads but always give me croutons. for wahatever reason I don't have figured out.

Penney, like your avatar. It is time consuming figuring macros and keeping track of dietary intake but I do know it helps.

Lora, I know most programs will figure the %'s for you. Mine does it in grams or percents for the day.

Dallys, I just chop up the apple and add whatever I want and microwave it for about 3 minutes. Sometimes I add some wheat germ, oatmeal or Hodgson Mill Multi Grain w/ flaxseed and soy hot cereal. It absorbs some of the moisture and if I cook it long enough it gets a little crisp. Sometimes I throw some raisins in there too.

I had some shredded wheat with skim milk before bed. No sugar or anything. I need to eat before taking my calcium or they make me sick. Didn't want to work to hard at finding something.
