Morning Maniacs -

I didn't want to get out of bed this morning. I've had horrid neck pain/headaches for 3 days now. I didn't EVEN feel like doing cardio this morning. It seems the more fit I get, the harder and harder I have to work to get my HR up and it's becoming more of a "chore" than fun!

I ended up doing Kelly's Step Boxing. This is usually an intense workout for me, but my HR only hovered around 140-145 most of the time and it took a while to even elevate! I was a bit frustrated again with the coreography as I've not done this in a while. Workout was 55" and I burned 485 calories.

Today I did Cardio Coach #4. This is still the hardest one for me. And I think I'm going to have to up my cardio a bit. I'm only doing 2 hours a week (if that) and I can feel it with the way my endurance is. Not sure how I'm going to add more cardio but I will figure out a way. Maybe in the evenings I can do steady state for a half hour or something like that.

Then I did the ab work from Cardio & Weights. I also need to start doing more ab work.

Anyways...

Good Morning Maniacs!!!

I think I might actually run today. Like Debbie, I don't do tons of cardio so my running may be on the lighter side...half running and then fast walking. My knees aren't the greatest either, but I need a change of pace. I have my garden to tend to as well. I know I should at least get the onions in for now.

Went back to Debbie's total Body Rotation, but I think I'm gonna do the 2 body part a day that you're doing now Debbie. I'll just go back and print out what you've done so far if that will work.

Flat Bench with DB's:

OH Double Arm Rows with DB's

Quads
Sqauts:

This was surprising to me!!!

Biceps
Barbell Curls:

Close Grip Press:

That was it. Not to impressive except the legs and bi's and tri's

It is me, the rare checker inner and schlubb. I slept in, just needed sleep. Will try to get run in later or something. Yesterday I kicked butt however: 45 minute turbo jam workout (don't make fun of me but I really love these, great for the core) then heavy upper body with trainer. (20 lbs for biceps curls, which for me is great.) I ache today in a good way!

Lately workout schedule has been Mon/Wed: cardio 40/45 minutes (will start runnning on one of these days now that it is light out in am), weights with trainer 1 hour; Tues yoga; Thurs yoga and 2 hours tennis clinic in eve; Friday cardio/weights (circuit workout type thing); Saturday 5 mile run; Sunday rest. Nice to have the trainer at work, but sometimes I feel like dang this is a lot of time devoted to exercise. With current heavy weights rotation, I am so tired. Always whips my butt. Opinions please.

Great workouts everyone!

Debbie, I find the drill max time savers really build my cario endurance. Last year I was only doing those routines and then I ran a 5 k with no training. This year - I am going to train a bit more for the 5k. My sister-in-law and I do these together. We push each other.
 
Good morning. Sorry I didn't get back yesterday. Had to travel 2 hours one way to meet my sis and then come back and go to work.

Thanks DS..that made me feel better about the bad weekend.

I will be back. I gotta eat now. I just woke up. I apparently needed some sleep. Gotta get my day moving tho.

I am going to do a quick check in. This morning I did Amy Bento's In the Ring stopping at the stretch, then did the bonus bag work from her Kickbox Extreme, I only got in a couple of minutes of stretch before the grandchildren came in. Took them to 3 schools and ran errands. I have my new grandbaby here. I am hoping to get Slo Mo Back and Shoulders in and maybe the core work today. BBL

Afternoon Maniacs,

Didn't feel like doing anything this morning so I took that as a sign to mix it up. So I pulled out BM2 and did the Timesaver cardio premix, but I did the steady state finished combo one extra time and then at the end I went back and did the blasts again but without the SS cardio in between. Workout came out to about an hour and I felt well worked by the end. Also it's been awhile since doing a long step workout and my shoulders were feeling all the arm movements. :p

I just finished Back and Legs, and AbRipperX. I feel whooped. I just did other back exercises with the band and dumbells...since I don't have a pullup bar and really don't have anywhere to hang my band from. I gotta shower and eat and get out and run errands, enjoy the sunshine.

Afternoon,

Ted GF service was this morning and it was very nice. His GF looked so nice. I wasn’t able to attend his funeral, too much to do today at work.

My workout was fab this morning, it took me longer than it should had, probably b/c Ted was up and talking too me, who knows but I have to tweak a bit, I only have 40 minutes to do legs and 1 hour for upper body. Any who, I will check back later, have a good day

Next week I will take my carbs down below the 110 g. mark. Not seeing much of a change yet.
 
I am not sure why - but I cannot get full today - here are my eats for today.

meal 1 - protein smoothie with carrot juice
meal 2 - 1 slice whole grain bread with peanut butter
meal 3 - progresso soup
meal 4 - turkey wrap on low carb wrap stuff
meal 5 - potato, cottage cheese and salsa
meal 6 - 3 eggs, 2 egg whites / 1 slice bread / tomatos and spinach

Totals 1606 calories 23% fat / 44% carbs / 33% protein.

Not bad. I need the carbs today to teach the boot camp class tonight.
 
I finished up my workout this afternoon. DD came by to get the baby and visited for a bit before I went to pick up the grandchildren. I did Amy's Slo Mo back, shoulders, and core. My weights seem kind of low but the way Amy does some of these make it tough.

Lying Rows on stability ball 20# dumbbells 8 reps 3 sets
One arm lat pullover on ball 12# dumbbell 8 reps 3 sets(like that I can feel this in my lats doing one side at a time)
Seated row with band Purple band looped around bar 3 sets 8 reps
Cuban press 12# dumbbells 8 reps 3 sets
barbell shrugs 45# 8 reps 3 sets
shoulder press seated on ball 40# barbell 8 reps 1 set, 35#/8 2 sets
incline front delt raise on ball 10# dumbbells 1 set, 8# dumbbells 2
reverse delt fly w/ external rotation 10# dumbbells 8 reps 3 sets
On core I used 10# dumbbells and I used a 45# bar for the rollouts

Wow.......what a freakin' day. My little cat Brooklyn has urinated outside of the litter box over the last few days....so my DH tried to take her to the Vet today, but she freaked and tore him all up and he couldn't get her in the cat carrier. Then she hid. So...I get home from work and throw her little butt in a pillow case and then in the carrier. Go to vet......discuss her situation....she gets antibiotics for a possible bladder infection and then he tells us how she might be acting out with mating season...etc. Then, examining HER ....he finds a TESTICLE. My cat has one testicle and it is a female!!! or so we thought. Apparently, the pet store that did her female surgery must have been a place that did a half-assed job and he said they must have only found one ovary and never wondered where the 2nd one was....since he says you can't have "three of anything".....only 2 ....so Brooklyn most likely had 1 testicle and 1 ovary and therefore is a Hemaphrodite. My vet says he's never seen anything like it. I have a FREAK cat. Needless to say, we have her scheduled to get the testicle removed in a couple of weeks because it is making testosterone and maybe has something to do with her getting all crazy this time of year when she's supossedly "fixed". The other strange thing is that over the past couple of weeks, my male cat (who always gets rough with the my other male) has been roughing Brooklyn up a bit. It's probably cuz he senses her (or he/she's) testosterone! Is that freakin' wild or what. I paid a LOT of money for her cuz we got her "out of season" and she was from a Breeder! I feel like making them pay for this! My DH and I always noticed something that looked like a male part back there, but we never really examined it cuz we thought it was a defect from her surgery or something or a weird female part!

Deb - It's gonna cost me too much to send that cash delivery confirmation, so I'm gonna write a check. It will go in the mail tomorrow. Actually, the check will be written by my Mom, Irene ...since she has the package to take to the PO already. Just wanted to let you know. thanks..........

My weight vest came today!! It's half decent for the price. Don't really have time to play with it tonight since I just got home from the vet and have a ton of stuff to do.
