Morning Maniacs -

I have no motivation this morning. I slept in until 4:00 AM....yikes! I'm off to do my Spinning and maybe some yoga. Be back later. My last day of working out.............leaving for Vegas in the wee hours of the morning tomorrow.
 
Be prepared for some major RANTING!!!

First, my HRM would not work correctly. The entire workout it went from 79 bpm to 186 bpm. If I was at 186 bpm I'd be dead right now. WTF is going on with this thing? It was really making me mad, I ended up taking it off towards the end. I don't think it was correct at any span of time during my workout today. I will try changing the battaries and see if that helps. I'm so mad about this. I went through all this with my Polar's and now my Imari is almost worse then the Polars were.

Wanted to do Press Play from Cardio Coach and I did, but could only get through 2 challenges. 10 minutes into my workout my calves and hamstrings got VERY tight again and started to hurt. I did 35 minutes of Press Play and then just did a steady state until I reached an hour. I stretched really good but my muscles are still really tight. I just don't understand this. I can't ever remember being this sore before and for this long.

I'm done with leg work now until Sunday so hopefully they will rest up and get back to normal.

I took my cardio stats from my treadmill reading instead of the stupid HRM:
1:00 total
Have no clue how long I was in my zone
Burned 335 calories
3.35 miles travelled

Good Morning Maniacs!!!

Today I think I might do Cardio Coach 4 instead of Yoga. I did Cardio Coach 3 several days ago and I couldn't quite make it at the end, but Aunt Flo always helps to slow things down. Little sleep last night. Long story. So I have no idea how I will do on elliptical today. May need to take a nap before I go..I will try to eat more and maybe that will make the difference. I just know I want to make it to the end and go to my 95% when told.

I would be dead too if my hr was up that high!!!! I did push it to 173 when doing Cardio Coach #3..that is definitely the utmost max for me. I have to double knot the strap so it will fit around me. lol. It is a size M. Nice calorie burn. I know the cardio coach 3 got my legs really tight too.
 
Good morning!

Sounds like we're all off to a great start! I did something to my knee. I didn't sleep well either. Had to get up THREE times to go to the bathroom and every time I got up my knee was killing me. I didn't do anything to it but it feels like I fell or something. It still hurts this morning - to walk and to bend it. So I decided not to ride. I was really tired so I decided that I would sleep in and come home tonight and do shoulders, back and chest. I'm so lazy right now.

Diane Sue - Sounds like you're gonna have to carry us at the moment. :)

I'm off to shower and go to work. Hopefully will be a better day than the last three. All of the whack jobs are out for our summer camp this week - the parents, not the kids. The kids are great. :)

I ended up doing Mindy's Super Cycle.......Whoa....killer DVD. This one and All Terain Cycle with Brook Hayward are the 2 hardest ones I own so far. I've got Spinervals Sprinting Machine (level 9.9 on the intensity scale) and Red Zone coming in the mail. Workout today was 67 minutes and I burned 434 calories. I wore my boot on the bike today....but still am unable to stand for all the hill climbs....guess I'll have to work up to that. I also did Yoga to Go on the Yuba River with Nancy Sutton. Nice Hatha yoga practice 55". I had to be careful with positioning my fractured foot.

Deb - I hear ya on the tight hamstrings. That's my major problem since I've been running. I think the older we get, the more we need to stretch also......not that you're old (or me for that matter LOL). Sorry about your HRM....and to think I almost ordered it cuz I wanted one that the battery was easy to change on so I wouldn't have to be without mine for 2-3 days while I wait for the DH to change my battery! Glad I've stuck with my Mio Sport. My next one, I'm definitely getting the Mio Ultimate that has the chest strap or the option of taking your HR on the watch.

Toasty - having fun with the Cardio Coaches, are ya? Buckcherry in 2 days!!! Woohooo.....hope I can stand all night on my bad foot!

Meg - if you're around today.....I got another stress fracture in the metatarsal next to the previous one I had. I think it occurred while jumping rope. I have been doing tons of cardio since I've been off of work. I guess that will teach me to do the low impact stuff once and a while and use my bike and ellipitcal!

Speaking of Cardio Coach....there's a new one out but it's a weight/cardio circuit. I emailed them to find out if I could order it on CD but I didn't get a response yet.
Have great workouts everyone. I'm gonna go check the weather in Vegas.
 
Suz -you're package is going out tomorrow. My Mom offered to do a PO run for me. Let me know what you think when you get it.
 
MOrning Manicacs! Today is CC#4. I wanted to do it this morning, but DD an DSIL are sleeping in my workout room. Might go for a walk, but it looks like rain. Double whammy.:(

Lora- Have fun in Vegas! Hope you win some money if you are gambleing.}(

Debbie- My HRM does that too! Just like the Polar! The other day I was really pushing it and looked to see how high my HR was and it read 286! ROFL! Then it immediately went down in the 80's. My normal for fed zone should be low 170's. Makes me mad too!

Good morning. I have a circiut on tap today. I have been literally dreaming of which one to do! lol. I slept well, just stayed up to late. Didn't get home till 11:30 from work. Had to go pick the kids up at mom and dads. That stunk, but soon I hope to find a normal babysitter who can come to the house and be able to put kids to bed on time. ANyway.
I am thinking maybe Bootcamp, or C&W, or maybe even LIC. I just can't decide. Or do I dare to something off Terminator???

Suz- baby that knee today. My shoulder is sore for some reason. Sucks

Lora- That stinks about your foot, just be careful. And have a great vacation! I am going to buy you a camera so you can take close up pics at the concert for me!!!

DS- have a good WO, and hope you get your cleaning done. Glad to know I am not the only one who hates logging food!

Dallys- I am going to check out Fitday. Do they keep track of carbs, sugar, and fat too? I did really well yesterday with my eating. I am proud since I had my choice of anything on the menu for dinner, and I stuck with a healthy salad and dressing on the side. OK, well I did have a tablespoon of ice cream, but come on, it was chocolate chocolate chip! Yum!

Yes, I am working in a restaurant. Waitressing. My cousin has been there for 8 years and she is training me, so we are having fun! I am done training and on my own next week. Pretty cool. I probably won't be buying any versions of Fitday, but I will check it out anyway. May just be easier and quicker to jot it down on paper.

Meg - I'm sorry about your shoulder. Those take forever to heal so take it easy. I'm glad you're having fun at your job. We had a babysitter growing up who stayed at our house. Had her for years. Her name was Mary. LOVED her. An older lady. Your kids will do great with one. :)

Dallys - I forgot about your knee. I had to go get one of the whack job teachers a box cutter this morning b/c she lost the other one we got her. Oh my, I really should not have been the person to be handling a box cutter in her presence!!! :p I've already had to refund one unhappy parent b/c of her.

Yeah Suz. I ddef need to find a babysitter. It is just hard to find someone good. My other babysitter is off to college, and she has a job. I don't know many of the younger ones around here. I am to old. I will figure it out and the kids will be better for it. They love being with grammy and grampy and my sis (they have been so good with them since their dad left) but it sucks picking them up at 11pm and bringing them home. Connor stays asleep, Chase doesnt! And luckily we are next door, so I don't have to monkey with sleepy kids in car seats.
Anyway. why does diet coke have to be so bloating?? Cuz, it tastes SOOO good! I am having a helluva time saying no!

Just got in a huge fight with the DH. He's been on my case about stuff for 3 days straight and I finally lost it on him and went off. He says he's getting a divorce and said he's not going to Vegas. I told him I'm going to the concert by myself then! Now my stomach is gonna be all upset from all this crap. I hate when I lose it....but I don't deserve to be treated the way he treats me some times.

Meg - any way you can drop everything and meet me at the Cleveland Airport tomorrow morning at 6:00 am????? LOL. We can go tear it up at the concert! I might not have much spending money....but I've got tickets!

Why can men be such jerks???
 
I have sure been getting around slow lately. Two mornings I woke with headaches and have had some stomach virus. I think it is the same thing one of the grandchildren had last week. I have also had a cold or allergies, not sure which for over 2 weeks. I did I max3 stopping at the str, then did Step Blast challenge, blasts and str. I was sweating and huffing. I can tell things aren't right. I then did S&H chest and back no w/up and followed with Yoga Shatki shoulder openers and inversions. When I was done I had to scrub the carpet by hand and then steam it. The dogs had a rubber tire toy and they drooled blue black all over the livingroom. Wouldn't just come out with the steam cleaner:( Here it is almost 3 and I just got around to lunch. Good thing I drank a protein drink after my w/o.

dumbbell press 3 sets 30#
dumbbell flys 3 sets 25#
dumbbell incline press 1 set 30#, 2 sets 25#
dumbbell incline flys 1 set 25#, 2 sets 20#
pushups the same as Cathe
Back
dumbbell rows 30# dumbbells 3 sets
pullovers 40# dumbbell 3 sets
deadlifts 35# dumbbells 3 sets
planks and supermans started supermans with 3# dumbbells and quit midway.

Debbie, I swear the treadmill causes me more tightness and pain in the hamstrings. I used to could run very long hard runs putting 10 miles in at a time. Now I have to allow time between runs.

Lora, I hope you have a great time in Vegas.

Suz, it sounds like you made a good choice to rest.

Dallys, hope you can figure out how to get in a workout. I used to have to give up my workout room when company stayed. Now we have a sofa bed in the office so that is where I put the guests:)

Hey Maniacs! Another late Lunch eater here. Sweet potato, cottage cheese and turkey sausage. Trying to avoid the smokehouse almonds DH bought (what was he thinking!).

Lora- I hope your vegas trip turns out ok.

Diane Sue- I'm seriously thinking of a sofa bed for my den. I'll be out of a computer at times, but not a workout room.:) Those darn puppies are keeping you busy aren't they.;)

I'm headed home to work out and work off some of this stress from the parents today. To all those who teach, I take my hat off to you. I don't know HOW ON EARTH you do it. Parents know EVERYTHING. I don't even know why they need to send their kids to school!
