Hardcore Fitness Maniacs for the week of 8/6

Today I pulled out YogaX - Chris mentioned it last week and I totally forgot all about this workout. O - M - G! I forgot how hard this workout is and I probably should have given myself a couple more weeks before tackling this one. But I did ok and did the entire 90 minute workout. I was going to stop at an hour, but was so into it that I just kept going. Plus I have the time today so why not?

Can anyone do Crane? Good God! :eek:

Last day until my time changes for work. My workouts will be in the p.m. starting tomorrow. We'll see how that goes. If I find too many things are hindering me from working out, I will start back in the early a.m.
 
Today was my first day of Body Beast rotation. I am doubling up a couple of days this week because I will be out of town two days again. I liked it. I think I could have gone heavier but was'n sure what I was in for. Today I did block 1 build chest and triceps 49 min and then I did legs 38 min.. Total time spent was 87 min and calories burned 406.

Debbie, I can do the crane. I can't remember how long Tony has you hold it in P90X. He uses it in P90X2 twice and it seems like he holds it a long time:eek: It makes my wrists hurt but I can do it. In P90X2 those vinyasa's push ups etc do not go on forever!
 
My workout today won't happen until after work. I already don't feel like working out. Good Lord, I hope this works out for me. If not, I'm back to 5 a.m. workouts. :eek:

Diane Sue - Wow, I bow down to you! Crane is a pose I doubt I'll ever be able to do. I don't think my wrists are strong enough to hold me up. That pose just scares me. Nice workout yesterday!
 
This morning I did Body Beast back and biceps followed by abs. 60 min, 242 calories. I am really sore. Hamstrings, quads, triceps. I guess I worked harder than I though yesterday. I added on To the Max w/up, solid step, tabata , core upper, stretch. This was 32 min, and calories burned was 178. Total time was 92 min and calories burned was 412.

Debbie, it will take awhile to get a different habit. It is probably good for the body to change it. I spent a very long time with dh having rotating shifts switching up. I found myself working out at 12 am and later getting up at 4 am. I prefer mornings myself and cannot understand how I ever got into it at night. I would do cardio, weights, dancey things. I swear I was wound up but would hit the pillow and go to sleep. This was all while doing in home daycare. I really wish that I slept like that now.
 
So I knew it, I didn't workout when I got home last night. I just did not have it in me. So I got up at quarter to 5 this morning and did a yoga workout. I just have to deal with this and get up early again, I just can't workout in the evenings. I have too much to do after work and if I worked out as well I wouldn't be able to sit down and relax until 8 p.m. Nope, can't do it.

I chose Yoga Relax today becuase my traps are really sore again from YogaX. I really with this soreness would go away. I thought yoga would help in that area but so far it seems to aggrevate it. I'm not in pain, though, just a lot of soreness. :confused:

I sure feel good right now, though. Yoga makes my body feel alive. Other than the soreness, I'm really loving this.
 
Today I doubled up workouts again. I have one more Beast workout to get in this week along with travel so we will see how it goes. I did Body Beast Cardio 30 min,, 204 calories. This was hard because my quads are still sore from Monday's workout. I then did Beast Shoulders 39 min, 209 calories. He Saji doesn't do much of a stretch on these workouts., I followed this with Les Mills Hardcore Abs 14 min, 54 calories and Les Mills flow 20 min, 53 calories. This made my shoulders feel so much better. I went fairly light on a lot of the shoulder work, particularly the trap area. I did not want to have that stiff neck pain and headache come back.

Debbie, some yoga is more relaxing and I think easier on the shoulders. P90X does seem to put more stress on that area. The one I did today was not a vigorous workout and was nice for the shoulders. I love the eagle arms move it felt good after my shoulder workout today.
 
Today was cardio and I chose Cardio Coach #2 revised. Sort of just going through my CC's in order. :rofl: Had a pretty good workout, this one isn't my favorite but it's ok.

here waiting for yet another plumber, guys been major problems every moring I have tons of water in my 1/2 bathroom we found the problem it is my sewer pike and my basement is wet again. Anywho, this ass will not answer his phone he was due here at 10am argh........going to give him 20 more minutes then I'm going to work, wasted 1/2 day vacation. I'll check back later.

I finished this weeks workouts. I will probably end up with 3 days rest before I start again. I did Body Beast Tempo Chest and Triceps 52 minutes 149 calories. I followed this with Beast Abs 11 min, 51 calories. The rotation had abs one time but I chose to do this one twice. I ended with Mindy Mylrea's Tabata Trek 53 min, 392 calories, max hr 160. I got this yesterday to use with my new spin bike. I loved it. It had bike tabatas alternated with floor tabatas or you could opt for bike or floor only. Total time was 1 hr 56 minutes and calories burned 592.

Teddy, Sorry you had to waste time off. I have had to wait several days with no exact time for the plumber. This was recently. They just called one morning and said they could have a guy on the way. Mine was not a real emergency though. It ended up that I needed a new garbage disposer. They take emergencies first. But I have had a lot not return my calls as I have had to repair things here.

Debbie, if they sold Les Mills separately I would recommend that one. I have so many power yoga type workouts. Maybe you could do a search and read some reviews.

Roselyn, I have Beast legs scheduled twice next week. My quads were so sore for several days adter the first session. I expect they will be pretty sore with Beast cardio in there too. It has some jumping with squat holds and weighted stuff.

This morning I'm still pretty sore in the traps area so I got on my treadmill and just walked 1 mile at an easy pace. Then I did Yoga Stretch by Karen Voight. I really wish these knots would just go away. I don't understand why they are being so persistent.

Morning:D

This morning, I did CC #8 only 40 minutes and then MM chest back bi's and tri's. I'm off work again today, this morning woke up to a mess water every where. I have someone coming out around 2pm today providing he finish his other customers. I promise I bb got to make a run before he get here.

Diane: How do you like the workouts? I think I am going to order next week; so can you tell me the pros and cons of these workout. Thank you.

Which did you get Body Beast, Huge Stack, Beast Stack? I noticed the others have 8 dvd's. I'm really liken the exercises.

No workout today. We are on the road. Last night I went to the park with my daughter and her husband and ran. The park is a little over a mile.y legs were stiff and sore so I went 1 round. They stayed for 3 miles.

Teddy, I got the basic set with free Lucky 7 first them decided I wanted the tempo ones so ordered them too. They give you an option to use Tempo or repeat one particular workout in the build Phase. You have build phase, bulk phas which is longer and then Beast phase
The first week you do chest and triceps twice with the option of doing the tempo chest and triceps the second time. I am doing the lean program. I think on the second phase you have the option of subbing total body for cardio beast.
