Cathlete
Moring Maniacs -

Off to do Cathe legs and Kickbox. Hopefully some yoga and maybe some pilates. Be back later.

Hi Ladies
I've been sick for a while havent workout for a couple days. Did get my new 4ds dvds. Havent decided which one to start with.
My pics are up from Beverly Hills:)

I ended up doing Cathe's 4 Day Split - Kickbox & Legs. I had to modify parts of the cardio on the Rebounder due to my foot and my HR didn't get very elevated. Workout was 1 hour 19 minutes and I burned 500 calories. The music is not the best in the leg workout and the Kickbox. It was sort of generic sounding. Cathe was in top form as usual. I also did Yoga Practice with Lynn Watkins - Seated & Twisting section 28".

Dinner yesterday was half a sandwich and half a salad from Panera. Had the Mediterranian Veggie sandwich on a whole wheat baguette and the Orchard Harvest Salad with tart cherries, pears, pecans and cherry vinagarette dressing (yummy). Snacks were an apple a pear and some almonds. I also had a fat free sugar free fudge bar from the DQ and earlier in the day, I had a fun size Milky Way bar (75 calories).

Randi - sorry you are not feeling well. Hope you get better soon.

Have great workouts or rest days everyone.

I'm not sure what I'm going to do with my new Cathe's. Not sure I want to do them yet and worry about figuring out how to modify the cardio segments since I don't know them yet and it will be hard to figure out. I might just wait to do them until I get the go ahead on my foot.

Today is my rest day. I am off to church and Walmart in a little while. I need some ribbon and buttons for my baby project. Never finished posting yesterdays eating.
Coffee portein smoothee
2 low carb tortillas with some salsa
coffee protein smoothee
salad with 3 oz grilled chicken on spinach and greens, rinsed and drained mandarin oranges, onion, and mandarin ginger fat free dressing
snack was rest of the grilled chicken and 1/2 cup pinto beans rinsed and drained and iced coffee minus the protein powder
shared some Good and Plentys with dh when watching a movie so had 1 1/2 servings of those.
I never got around to putting it in my program so have no idea how it went.

Lora, can you just use Cathe's weights and then do other cardios that are ok for you to do? Have you looked at the lower intensity step one?

Randi, sorry you have been not feeling well. I enjoyed your pictures. I bet it was a lot of fun. That one with the dog and the guinea pig is so cute.

Good morning!

I've been MIA. But I'm back again. Still haven't tried CC#7 so I'm gonna do it now. Anyone else tried it yet? It's snowing here. The windchill is -2. Brrrr....

Sandy - Yes, you can learn to knit from a book but it sure would be nice to have somebody teach you. Do you have a knitting store anywhere near you? They usually have classes. That's where I learned. And no, it's not too late to start whipping up some pretty scarves for Christmas presents. They go pretty fast with big needles and the right yarn. :)

Lora - I hope you get the go ahead on your foot soon. Great workout.

Diane Sue - Enjoy your rest day.

Randi - Sorry you've been sick. LOVE your new hair color. Your pics are great. Makes me miss LA. :( Your brother looks like a nice guy.

Off to the basement...

Suz

Just finished CC#7. Loved it. Loved the music. I always wonder how Diane Sue works out without eating first. This morning I wondered why I had that Carnation Instant Breakfast. It did NOT want to stay in my tummy! Tough workout.

We're going to lunch to celebrate my sister and her SO's birthdays - Mexican restaurant. I'll just have one small chicken soft taco on flour tortilla. That's about the healthiest thing on the menu. Probably won't have any chips since I don't like them much.

We went looking at 5th wheels the other day. We want one that either has a toy hauler so that we can put bird cages in so we can take our birds or an extra bedroom that we can have customized with the beds taken out so we can have cages in for the birds. :) It gets so expensive to always have somebody come in to care for them. And people who travel with their birds say they really enjoy it. I hate always leaving them behind (so maybe that's the real reason). Am I weird or what??? :p I'm surprised DH is going for it. We'll see in the end. We just have to make sure that area would be able to be heated when we're pulling it in case it got too cold out.

Better hop in the shower so we can get outta here.

SUz, I think I snack just before I go to bed so I am not real hungry in the mornings. If I have much of anything or take my vitamins before a workout I feel very nauseated when I workout. Enjoy lunch. Our 5th wheel has a popout. We really wanted a toybox but they did not have any around here at the time. We would like one for taking the motorcycle with us. Also would like one without carpet. Carpet is a dumb thing when you are in and out from the campgrounds. We are talking about putting tile in ours. Your propane tanks should be able to heat it and the blower should be able to run off of the battery.

Hello ladies..
Haven't done much all week. Rested the back. Seems better now. Took the flexeril at night. Think it helped.. Hope it was just a pulled muscle..That will teach me for pushing it...

Well Randi, i did Hi impact step chest and back..
I like it. Confused the #### out of me on some of the turns, but i will get it.. I liked the heavier weights, and the supersetting..
I was reluctant to go heavy, but i did.'
I like the push up variation. Getting better at them again.
Felt great today. Lots of energy...
Randi, Pasadena looked so beautiful and clean. Looks like you had fun.

Suz, how hard is CC#7. Compared to 6 or push n play??
Gonna have to get it.
Burnt out on the treadmill for now. Time to change it up.

Well, bath time..
I am stinkin here..
LOL..
Have a great day.

Morning Maniacs! Woke up to a couple inches of SNOW! It's georgous on the trees that still have fall leaves. Not sure what workout to do today. Dh is hogging the basement and I've got to go to Costco later. I've successfully watched all 3 "Saw" movies this week. Man, do those get addicting. I can't wait to see the new one when it comes out. Watched "the bad son" this morning. I'm such a sloth... big body-dent in the couch! LOL!

Suz- We knew a guy that would take his parrot (the big white ones) on his boat. It just hung out in the cuddy and would cuss at you. LOL! Things we do for our pets.:) I still haven't done the CC Press Play or whatever it's called:p. Not sure I'll get the new one yet. I'll have to hear you all rave about it some more. Hope you find a trailer that fits the bill (pun intended!)

Anne- Glad your back is feeling better and you got in a good workout!

Diane Sue- The chai tea I used was just a powder..no brewing required. I can't find it anywhere. I looked yesterday. It used to be at Borders and was a low carb version in a small round can.

Randi- Loved the pictures and you do look great as a brunette too!

Lora- Sorry you aren't liking the new Cathes much. Maybe when your foot gets better you'll want to pull them out again.

Gotta go shower and then hit Costco.

Did you say snow.. GULP!
Not ready for that...The leaves are dropping here fast..

Oh, i think it is crow season. I just saw thousands of crows in the back yard in flocks going from trees to trees and all over the ground.Kinda scary.. Never saw that many at a time..

Suz, good luck on camper hunting..

Anne, I hope you get the back problems cleared up. LOL, on Pasadena looks so clean. I have lived in southern California and visited family for years. It does look good in comparison to what it usually looks like. You can actually see everything without the haze. Randi got some really good pics in southern California:) I have not purchased CC #7 yet. Did not purchase press play either. Cost is getting up there with audio pricing pricing. I guess cds are up their too:) I do like them but I just do my own hills & sprints lately. It works for me. I know coach Shawn can help push you when you would rather just jog. I will probably get them eventually. I am waiting for the reveiws.

Hi Suz,

Thanks for the info. I'm not sure of a store, I'm sure we have one. I'll ask around. I think I would do better with hands on too! I think that would be fun and relaxing to knit.

Thanks!

Hi Everyone! Sorry I have been MIA!! Been a crazy weekend!

First off, yesterday was a debacle of CANDY! Oy Vay! I had so many sweets and junk food that I really needed a good cardio workout today. On a good note, most of those chocolates were accompanied with fruit: Chocolate covered Strawberries, a carmel apple and Chocolate covered cherries. LOL!! I didn't have the cherries, though. The strawberry ones were SO GOOD!

So I did the new Cardio Coach #7 and I LOVED IT! What an awesome workout. It has three challenges and the first challenge is excellent to get your running endurance up. It has 4 - 3 minute level 3 (your choice of climbs or sprints) and then 3 minutes at level 2 so you never really have a total rest period. This goes on for 21 minutes. I did sprints the whole time. FREAKIN' AWESOME! My goal with this challenge is to get myself to running 3 minutes at 6 mph. I could only go with 5.5 to 5.0 today. But it felt great.

Challenge #2 is Challenge #1 from Press Play and Challenge #3 is Challenge #5 from Press Play.

My Nike HRM would not work at all today. DH opened it up and once again it was all wet inside. Not sure if he can fix it but we shall see. He can fix anything, though, so I'm sure he'll get it working again. I ended up using my old Polar and was surprised to see it worked very well. LOL!

Cardio stats:
1:19 minutes
57 minutes in zone
414 calories burned!!!!
4.17 miles travelled

Hope you all had a great weekend!
