Hardcore Fitness Maniacs for Sunday July 15

I ended up doing my Jillian Backside Circuit from the book. Added ankle weights and DB's to the bicycle's and added weight to the Russian Twists. My foot that's been bothering me started hurting really bad during the first jump rope segment and I had to back off at that point. I added on about 10 minutes of the Killer Segment of KungFu Kickbox.....but again, my foot wasn't having it. I'm bummed about my foot. It's hurting where it was broken before.....not sure what the problem is. It didn't hurt there when I got my feet injected last week. Workout was not real intense today and was 1 hour and 20" and I burned 430 calories. I also did Eion Finn's Pure and Simple Yoga.

Forgot to mention that we saw a wild movie yesterday called Captivity. If you thought Saw was grotesque, you won't want to see this one....but it was pretty good. Had a good plot twist, etc.

Good morning!

What time did you get up to start this thread Lora? It starts on Saturday. You're a crazy woman! :)

Sad to say another murder in our quiet town in the middle of the night - this time a teenage boy. We have an 11pm curfew and it happened around 2am or 2:30 (our phone rang at 3:06am). I know big cities see this stuff all the time but we aren't THAT big. Then you hear of all those husbands killing their wives lately. Makes you wonder what the world is coming to.

Okay, enough of Susie Downer! DH and I were supposed to try to ride early this morning b/c it's supposed to get hot today. But since he was up for about an hour in the middle of the night with this, he's still sleeping. Plus he's probably trying to catch up on yesterday. So I'll wait patiently. Maybe we'll go tonight when it's cooler. That is IF they don't have another SWAT call!

We're taking my mom's DH out for lunch at Red Lobster for his birthday today. I invited his dad as a surprise. I thought later maybe not such a good idea as his dad drives him nuts. But his dad is alone (except for his Rottweiler) and he was really excited.

This morning was Legs and cardio. By the time I got done with my leg work I almost skipped the cardio but made myself do it. My hamstrings are still really sore.

2 minute rest between everything
Legs
Squats (warmup): 65# - 1 set/12 reps; 75# - 1 set/10 reps; 85# - 1 set/8 reps
Squats (working sets): 105# - 3 sets/6 reps parallel (up 5# - Oooh wow! LOL!)
Bulgarian Split Squats: 75# - 3 sets/8 reps (up 10#)
Step Ups: 65# - 3 sets/10 reps
***Notes: I love BSS's, those do really good things for my glutes. I'm pissed because as I'm typing this I forgot to do calf work.

Then I did steady state on my treadmill. Sprints were not appealing to me today.
Cardio stats:
32 minutes
23 minutes in zone
185 calories burned

Hello my lovely ladies!!!! How are all of you?

Let's see, Friday I did drill max cardio, Thursday was LIC, and Wed was TM and some free weights. I was way to busy yesterday to WO, so rest day. I hope to maybe go for a run today, if not I will be doing weights on the home gym machine at sisters.
Speaking of sister, I will be moving in with her for a little while today. With my boys of course. My DH just won't leave, so I need to. Things are just to wild and negative, and I need to take care of the kids and myself. I hope it will be only temporary and DH will move out of the house. If he doesn't, my mother and uncles will evict him. It will be weird not being home, but I will go there during the day while he is working and just leave before he gets there.
SO I guess that is a little update. I try to keep up, but I still don't have my computer repaired, so I use the one at the firehouse. I have been staying pretty busy lately.
I do really miss all of you though, alot. I hope you are all well! And I hope I will find some peace in my life soon. It has been a long time since I have had that.

I finally got a great w/o in. CC#1 revised and stayed on 45. Then buts and guts, and i am going to die later..

Char, depends on the shirt and bra.. I can play m down or up.. HEHEH..I still have weihght to loose. My 6's are starting to bag though. Slow, but sure..
This was the 1st year that i did not complain about the condo . HAd a great time.

Suz, we have wackos around here too.. Be amazed . Everywhere..
Deb, i try to do the cardio 1st on leg day.
I have tried to do this 3 times and the post disappears so i am going to shut up now.

Meg - so good to hear from you. I've been thinking about you and wondering how you're doing. I didn't know you like the gross movies! There was one part of this one that almost made me puke and that's not an easy feat. It was sick!

Suz - I got up at 2:30 today. If I get this job at Buckle, my schedule will be changing a lot.

Where the heck is everyone today. I just got done cleaning. I usually clean on Mondays, but I got a call Saturday morning while we were out from a place wanting to interview me....so I wasn't sure if I'd have time to clean tomorrow.
 
I have missed you too Anne and Lora! Great job on the weight loss Anne. I need to go check out everyone's pictrails for new pics. I hope to post a few too.
THings went better then expected, so far, with the DH. Packed a few bags for me and the kids and left. I know I am doing the right thing for the boys and myself.
ANyway, Lora, yes I love the scary and gory movies! We should have a nasty movie fest one night! THat would be to much fun.

Miss Meg - SOOOO good to hear from you! We miss you around here. Sounds like you're doing great with your workouts. Hang in there with everything. It must be tough. But you're tough. You've got a very supportive family from what you say. And you've got us. :)

My mom's DH didn't look super happy to see his dad there. Hmmm...oh well. I know his dad was happy to be there. I only had one and a half biscuits. And it's my cheat day. Yay for me!

Still waiting to ride. It's pretty hot right now and windy. Hopefully the wind will die down. And DH won't get any calls.

Just wanted to drop in and say hi. Today was my rest day. I picked up my grandson for church and we stopped at dd's house and saw their new golden lab puppy. Then afterward I went to Petco and Walmart to do shopping. DH and I went for a motorcycle ride after lunch. It is hard to believe that the day is almost over. It turned off hot today. After all of this rain. I thought I was going to die by the time we got home from our ride.

Debbie, great workout. Do you use a barbell for those squats?

Suz, more excitement. Wow. Did you ever get to go for a ride?

Lora, I hope you get the job. I know you have been hunting for awhile.

Maeghan, good to see you back here. I hope things straighten out for you and your family.

I think it will take a long time for me to get a barbell on my shoulders to do that. That is why I use the Bowflex. That is awesome. You are so much stronger in the upper body than I am. I am always afraid I will hurt myself getting the barbell up there. I have done 85# but had a hard time getting the bar back down:)
