Morning Ladies-

This morning I did 25 minutes of Champion Rebounding - Kickbox and Drills and then I did Rebecca Small's Symmetrical Step segment from Stomp 2 (on the higher step) and Marc Oliver Kluike's segment Dance Step off of Stomp and for a cool down, I started to learn another Rebecca segment from Symmetrical Step. Total aerobics was 70 minutes and then I did Tracey Staehle's Core Conditioning for about 10-13 minutes. I then did my own stretch and then did Eion Finn's Power Yoga for Happiness - Daily Dose of Bliss premix. Don't know how many calories I burned, as my HR monitor needs the battery installed....and DH has to do that for me.

I'm determined to get the last part of both of these segments I've been doing. They get really tricky towards the end. I have all but about the last 1.5 minutes on Rebecca's and all but about the last 2 minutes on Marc Oliver's. They both throw lots of direction changes and turns at you very quickly in the last couple minutes of the combo. Since these are geared towards instructors, the teaching is fast and furious. I haven't attempted Step Gone Wild with Rob Glick yet.....that's for the future! I'm sticking with Rebecca and Marc Oliver for a while. I got Rebecca's other step workouts on VHS from the UK. I also found out she has a new one coming out soon on DVD.

Speaking of new instructors - Tracey Staehle has 3 new DVDs coming out soon. Presale is on the 21st of this month. They are going to be 90 minutes long for each one....one cardio, one sculpting, and one kickbox. I will probably order, as I think they will be better than her first offerings.

I haven't been feeling very well for the past several days. I was hoping it was just stress, but I think I've got a bit of a stomach flu. Have been very nauseous with severe stomach pain and other problems and my sinuses have been horrid. I had to get another course of antibiotics from my doctor. I can't seem to get rid of this infection this year so far. Last year it took a 3 month course of antibiotics....but my family doctor is reluctant to do that. The specialist did it for me last time, but I won't go back to him cuz he wants to operate on me.

Now that I've whined and moaned thoroughly.......off to soak in my Lushie tub with the last of my Bling Crosby bar. For those of you familiar with Lush, it's like their Karma fragrance mixed with citrus.....smells really good.

Great workout Lora for not feeling so good. I'm sorry that you're not feeling well I hope you get better soon!!

I've been up since 4 this morning had some oatmeal and protien shake. Now I'm drinking sobe adrenaline rush sugar free energy drink to get motivated. This sounds terrible but i'm addicted to these energy drinks I feel like I cant function or workout has hard if I dont have them. But I love them and they make me happy too:)So no matter how bad they are I wont stop drinking them:(

Today is Kick Max no leg drills buy a$$ is so sore from B&G friday. Then I'm going to do Core Max 3. Well I better get started have to be at work at 11:45.

Lora, it is going around. I have been iin the bathroom for 2 weeks. It may be my nerves at this point though.

I am going for a marathon work out today. Total body with the splits .May take me all day.LOL...
1st is groc store in a few min so i have food this week then off to the basement.

Lora, they did surg on my nose about 6 yrs ago and it never got better. It hurt like a mother. I had the pepsi feling up my nose for 6 months and i wouold not do it again...
I had nasal splints about an inch wide and 4 " long up my nose. You would be amazed how far back a q-tip goes now if i want to...

Randi- you know, I will never give up ketchup! It isn't bad for you, but it has sugar and all that. And I eat ALOT of it too. NEVER giving that up LOL! So enjoy your drink.

OK ladies. I have to make up for resting yesterday. Also, looking for a little advice. I am up 4 pounds. Trust me, not muscle. I know the eating has to be really strict, and I can do that. But, I think I am platauing on my exercise. I am not following any rotation, just going by the seat of my pants. Any rotation advice or anything? I def want to go more edndurance with the weights right now. I need a little shock or something? Any ideas? I don't mind doing longer then 1 hour on some days.

OWWW Anne, you are making me wince!

Randi, hang in there, I'm actually shocked you don't have men crawling over each other to get to you! I kissed many frogs for 20 years...and then my prince appeared. Be PICKY and patient my dear. Make a list of must haves, will settle for, and absolutely not's, and stick to it. Enjoy your independence while you have it, it will make you stronger.

Suz..yeah I guess it's not wise to double up on those two but I did break it up by 8 hours, 3 of which were cleaning, I even scrubbed floors. And again, I'm in major pain, but I love this pain because that's the area I need the most work on.

Debbie we have winter advisories already, but it looks very calm but cold outside. My kitty, Jimmy loves to go outside at night to mouse and was crying at 5:30 this morning to come in.

Lora..I love your reviews with the links, you should see my wish list thanks to you.

Ok...I broke down and was sucked into the Magic Bullet infomercial, I broke down and bought one on Ebay.

Good Morning,
Today is supposed to be my rest day but I am thinking of doing some yoga and/or stretching and maybe work on some choreograhpy from one of the workouts I don't have down. We have more freezing rain right now. We have thick ice all over the place. The poor dogs try to run out the back door and slip. They need boots:7 I really worry about hip injuries on them after my poor last puppy.

Lora, we all went through some stomach thing here too. Not fun. I hope you get to feeling better. I was looking at the new Tracey Staehle workouts. It looks like they use the BOSU in them.

Randi, enjoy your workout. I feel the same way about my morning coffee before I get started.

This morning I worked upper body. Neck and shoulder is still bothering me. I probably should have taken a rest day. The pain isn't any worse then it was when I started so I guess thats good. Todays workout was 3 sets/8 reps doing it in superset fashion with a 1 minute rest. This is what I did:

SS #1
Pullups: 7/5/4 (wimped out on these today)
Barbell Chest Press: 95# (same weight as last week)

SS #2
Pullovers: 30# (went down in weight, these bother the area that is hurting)
Overhead shoulder press: 22's (same)

SS #3
EZ Preacher Curls: 55# for 2 sets/50# for 1 set (up from last week)
Close Grip Tricep Press: 80# for 2 sets 75# for 1 set (this bothered my hurting area)

Zottman Curls - 22's (up from last week) Just did these alone

No abs, my dh and I are heading to Youngstown to see my dad. I need to get ready and get out of here. Workout was 46 minutes, was in my zone for 10 minutes and burned 152 calories.

Thanks for the well wishes everyone. I really wish my stomach would quit. I can just imagine the first time Jay needs me to pull a file and I'm in the bathroom. When he calls me, he usually wants me pronto!! I'm starting to get nervous about tomorrow again.

Diane Sue - I'll let you know if the new Tracey's end up being better tan the first ones after I get them.

Anne - is your surgery this week? How long is your recovery period. Yes, I know people who have had the nasal surgery (not even as invasive as the procedure I need done) and say that they wouldn't do it again. That's why I suffer constantly.....I'm not willing to have the surgery.

Charlotte- that's not my Valentine's Inquisition that's on its way....it's just my other shirt. I got the Wolf Moon tee yesterday and the other C&S must be for my Alchmists Local long sleeved Tee shirt I got.

Meaghan - I see you've discovered Cardio Coach. I love the CC's and of course, I have all of them. I know, you can't believe it, huh? Moi?? However, I haven't been able to use them lately cuz the DH is doing P90X in the basement and says there is no room for me to be down there interfering. I may get him to let me come down on Tuesday this week. I'm due for an interval workout.

We're going to see Harsh Times at the cheap theatre. It stars Christian Bale. He's my new favorite actor. We actually saw this before but we're going to see it again cuz I told the DH I just love Christian's acting ..........and he's extremely hot! (didn't tell the DH the latter...LOL. For those not familiar with him, he played the Psycho in the Psycho remake from a few years ago. He also played Batman in the Batman Begins movie. What made me REALLY start to like him was for his part in the movie, The Prestige! Great movie with Hugh Jackman and Christinan Bale. He''s an amazing actor (and did I say he's a hunk??).

I am not giving up ketchup either, Meg. And like you Randi, I have a sore a$$ too. I did not do my kenpo x yesterday cuz I was so very sore there. This weekend I have been eating like there is no tomorrow. Lots and lots of food. It is all good though. I am just incredibly hungry.

Enjoy these times. You are soooo pretty and so nice that you should just enjoy these moments. Flirt your butt off and have fun with it. Don't rush anything. Stay true to yourself and love yourself first. Others will be drawn to your beauty...inside and out.

I have bought Speck and Stinky boots and jackets. They hate them. I cannot get Speck to wear anything like that.

Hope you feel better. We were suppose to look at homes this weekend with realtor and she was out sick too with a stomach flu. Guess it is going around. I hope it passes soon for you.

Debbie has alot of rotations and they are really good ones. See if you can find one from there that suits your needs. I will talk to you more later girl.

Well today is my rest day so I am not sure what I will be doing. Hubby will be working out and watching the games.

Lora, I just looked at the video clips of Tracey Staehle's new sweatfest sculpt workout. I don't know about that arm work kneeling on a stability ball. It doesn't look like any feet are touching the floor. Maybe it is easier than it looks?? I really don't want to break anything:7

Deb - what did you do to your neck and shoulders? Are you still doing that same rotation? I hope your pain gets better. I'm sure the rainy weather is not helping matters.
 
Diane Sue- so it looks hard, huh? This stupid computer of mine! I can't view clips of anything. It never works on my computer and even if it did, it would take me forever to get it to load with this dial up modem.
 
Lora, I wish you could see the clips. She balances on her knees on the stability ball and alternates arms doing biceps and overhead triceps extensions. It does look like lighter weights. 15 dollars a workout on the presales is not bad.

Am i grossin you out.
Trust me when Dr. sprayed stuff up my nose to numb it and stuck stuff up there . I was amazed too.

We.. went groc shopping and i have enough yogurt, healthy munchies,sugar free jello w/ fruit is made and i am making a big pot of stew for the DH for the next couple days and a pork tenderloin to munch on or for sandwiches.. I should be ok for a week or more.
GSon is so funny. I told him he was an energiser battery. He started yelling. I not a battery. I Steven..

Diane Sue, what w/o is that.That sounds really difficult. The balancing..

I am waiting for the DH to come out of the basement. I am always last . I swear my family thinks i don't count. What i want is not important...

OK it is my rest day. I did Amy Bento step challenge w/up and section #1 I think I will repeat this one for awhile till I have it down. I don't think it will be too hard for this part to catch on. I didn't do to bad. Well maybe I was on the wrong side of the step:7

My family thinks I am obsessed with working out. They swear I workout all day long and I don't..well use to. lol. You have to make the time for yourself, they will have to deal with it.

I think on the Tracy Staehle sculpt workout maybe a bosu would be better starting out, it would not dump you on the floor.

Charlotte, everyone thinks I workout all day long :) Most of the time it takes longer than it should because of all of the interuptions . An hour and a half can take 2 hrs or more depending on how long the interuptions are. Sometimes I may take a break so if someone calls that I talked to earlier thinks the whole time I have been working out. They don't understand because they don't workout like us. We are dedicated and goal oriented so no matter what causes the delay we will go on and meet the goal. Although too many interruptions makes me feel like it was a half, whatever workout.

Morning Maniacs or is it afternoon? Today I'm not sure what workout. I'll let you know as soon as I get done with one. LOL! DH is hogging the basement and he takes forever to workout on weekends.
It's so cold here! It's like 1 degrees. Had to push the dog out the door again this morning. She's like...are you kidding me! LOL!
Ok, everyone with the Flu symptoms stay far away. You all scare me! (spraying disifectant on monitor):p



Lora- Checked out the clips. These look like great workouts for the Step enthusiasts out there. I'm glad you are enjoying them. I get frustrated if I have too many workouts to choice from. I don't know why but it's real overwhelming frustration for me. Weird, I know. I have CC, New Cathes, Old Cathes, Turbo Jam, Slim Series, P90X, Yoga, Treadmill, St.Bike, etc. It overwhelms me just typing it. Then I have all these books with workouts in them that I want to try. ARGGGH! LOL! Curious, did you get Cathes new workouts? I don't think I've heard of you doing any of those yet?

Randi- I know what you mean with the addictions. I have a diet coke addiction. I know it's has no nutritional value whatsoever, but I just need it sometimes. I think it takes place of the beer addiction I used to have. Seriously, I think it's a habit just to drink something. If I try to cut out the diet coke, I have to have club soda or perrier or something. I need the fizz.

Anne- Thanks for the graphic description of your nasals! I'm almost woosey over here now. LOL! What, 4 more days til @@ ?

Meg-Sorry you didn't feel well yesterday. I love Ketchup too! Just had it on my eggs this morning.:9

Amber- YOu know you shouldn't watch those infomercials! You are bound to buy all kinds of stuff! LOL! Hope you like the Magic Bullet.

Diane Sue- My dog will wear boots. She likes to dress up.:) I put them on her so she won't scratch my wood floors sometimes. I need to find some really heavy duty ones for her when I take her with me when I ride my bike. She has really tender feet and her pads wear off to easy.:( I'll have to try balancing on my Stability Ball like that. I'll probably kill myself. She makes it look so easy! The Bosu is a good idea!

Debbie- Sorry you are still hurting. I hate that! Have you been getting the results you've wanted doing your workouts on your own?
I'm curious as to how you will feel going back to DVD's. I wonder if you'll go nuts following an instructor again.

Char- enjoy your rest day. We have football going on here today too. It's on every TV in the house. LOL! My butt is sore from a couple of days ago too. Funny, I did plyo legs and didn't use one weight the whole workout and I got so sore! Especially in the upper part of my butt. Muscles are so weird. I can lift really heavy and not get sore, then I do a workout with zero weights and get really sore. WTH?

Suz- Everytime you talk about your Hot tub, I laugh. Mine is right off the porch too. It seems like a mile away in this cold. It's like...caaan IIII maaaake it? LOL! DH also is the cemical guy and has to stay out longer to put that in. I like ditch him and run in as fast as I can. LOL!

Diane Sue - Where do you see info about the presale? I didn't see anything. Are they on sale yet? My stupid computer never loads pages correctly either.

Dallys- Yes, I got the new Cathe's. I did them a lot when I first got them. I don't really like the music on them and I don't care for the step segments that much. I have been using Butts & Gutts a lot and Body Max 2 Upper Body mostly in my rotation with Drill Max Total Body and Drill Max Cardio Leg circuits.
