Morning Maniacs -

This morning I did 25 minutes of Turbo Jam Fat Blaster followed by Amy Bento's Hi/Lo Extreme for a total of 70 minutes. I then did 10 Minute Solutions Pilates Abs followed by Raji Thron's Yoga Synthesis Ashtanga Short Form - 70 min. At the end of the cardio, I burned 464 calories.

Have great workouts everyone. I'm off to eat breakfast and soak in my Lush tub and then look in the paper for a job. We're going to another movie today...Blood & Chocolate ...Werewolf movie...looks good. Smokin' Aces was Smokin if I do say so myself. Not everyone's type of movie. Lots of action....sort of Pulp Fictionish in nature...but not really. I have to go see who the director was...as I'm curious.

My legs are pretty toasty today....almost couldn't get thru the intervals in Amy's Hi/Lo....I felt fatigue doing the Plyos and my asthma's flaring a bit ...almost had an asthma attack. It's cuz my sinuses have been so bad. It's cold and snowy here again today...has been. I need rotation ideas. I'm sick of what I've been doing.

Good Morning Maniacs!!!

I'm here!! I rode my bike with my son yesterday for 12 miles. We got a late start so we were gonna go further, but I wanted to get back before dark. It was nice. Temps in the mid 60's here. Day before, it was in 30's. Alittle difficult riding with the wind blowing towards the front of our bikes. Had to fight to get up the hills and I set my gear a notch down too.

Today is rest day, but I think I will do some ab work anyways.

I want to see that movie too..Blood and Chocolate. Looks good. I got the C&S for my tal's so I think I might get them on Monday..maybe. I only have a few more I want to get and I think I will be done with those.

Well this morning I had a humbling experience. Decided to go back to Cathe and do Gym Style. Started with Chest & Tri's today. Thought I could start where I left off with this workout, boy was I wrong. My arrogance stabbed me in the back!

My body is definitely not use to her 2/2 counts and my upper body is shaking right now. I know I will be sore tomorrow.

This is how it went:
72 drop sets of pushups - did these elevated. Took longer breaks then Cathe
DB Bench Press: 30's - 3 sets/12 reps
DB Flies: 25's - 3 sets/12 reps
Incline Press: 30's - 2 sets/12 reps
Incline Flies: 25's - 2 sets/12 reps

My remote decided to quit working on me so here I'm scurring all over the damn house looking for batteries. Why the heck we don't keep a set of double A's in this house is beyond me!!

Close Grip BB Press: 55# - 2 sets/10 reps - could not do the bonus
As you'll see, from here on out I really had a hard time.
Dips: was suppose to be 24 reps, I made 16
DB Lying Extensions: 12's - 2 sets/8 reps
Seated Overhead Press: 25# /8 reps - 20#/8 reps (was suppose to be 12 reps!)
Cross-Body Extensions: 10# - 2 sets/12 reps
Cross-Body Extensions w/band
Kickbacks: 10# - 2 sets/10 reps
Kickbacks w/band work

Definitely not use to this type of training anymore. Should be good for me! Workout was 1:11 min. (about 10 min. of that was getting my remote to work), was in my zone for 15 min. and burned 221 calories.

Deb, this is my fav. of all Cathe workouts. I love it.
You do go a bit heavier than me. My bench hasn't gone above 25's.Not in this w/o.You will feel it tomorrow....LOL...

55# on close grips is really good. You probably needed a break with the dips. after the close grip BB press.

Char, missed you yesterday ... It was cold here. 40's in the afternoon. Snowing now...Too cold here to bike.. it is all hills here. It kills you.

Great workout! Very good. You always impress me. I bet you will be sore tomorrow. I was going to pm you, but dh wanted to look at some homes on computer. Just busy on the weekends. Hope your having a nice weekend. You always manage to find something fun to do (other than workout). Going to the vitamin shop today?

Hope everyone is having a great weekend! I went out last night, had a great time but drank to much.
Yesterday was my rest day and I cant decide if today I want to start my endurance/circuit training rotation now.
What do you guys think, should I stick with doing s&h for the 5th week or not.
I have to go to work and i'm so tired:(

Hey Maniacs! Today is Cardio, PLB and abs. Missed my workout yesterday. Did CouchX instead.:) My forearms were killing me from a previous workout. Holding 35# DB's during Squats and lunges did a number on them. I could hardly lift a drink of water yesterday.lol! I thought it would be easier holding heavy DB's than lifting a heavier barbell above my head. I recommend it as a forearm workout now.:)

Debbie-It is weird going back to Cathe after doing something so different. Looks like you got in a pretty good workout, even with all the remote issues. Isn't that kind of stuff so irritating right in the middle of a workout? I ordered the CCpushplay workout. Can't wait to try it. I'm alittle nervous of the 10 sprints. 5 sprints are hard enough!

Lora-Nice that you and DH go to the movies every week. Can't get my DH to go. Not his thing. My kids will go with me though.:)

Char- Your DH is so nice. Can't imagine me looking hot! I was just thinking of taking my pictures off. I'm not that happy with them, actually. I wish I was as photogenic as you are. Can't wait to get on my bike! I've got all my new anti-nerd-bikeing clothes and nowhere to go. LOL!

Randi- If you are ready for the edurance rotation, go fot it! Which one are you going to do?

Anne-How you doing? Is the itching all gone?

Suz-Did you decide to do the BFL eating? I'm thinking of doing it again.

Hello Peeps!

Just downloaded CC #6 with Candace thanks to Debbie's recommendation. I'm gonna do it in a few minutes. Then it's off to Wal-Mart and Sam's (after a shower of course). I have to remind myself that I am very fortunate to have the money to be able to shop since I hate grocery shopping. :)

Dallys - Yup, went back on BFL last Monday. Made a big difference already. I think I dropped 3 pounds this week alone. I had just gotten way off track. I knew I needed a swift kick in the you know what. It worked. :)

Lora - Have fun at the movies.

Char - I'm SO envious that you got to ride. I'm ready to get back on the bike now. NEVER thought I'd say that as it was a tough cycling season last year for me.

Randi - Good luck with your decision. I wish I could help you. You're so dedicated I know you'll make the right one.

Debbie - Your workout still looks tough to me!

Storm - Try to enjoy your time off b/c once you get back to working out there will be no resting for you baby!!!

Anne- You look great! I think you look about 30 there. Can't wait to see how you look with all the swelling down.:)

Suz- You've motivated me with the 3 lbs loss. I did my best with this eating plan. I'm going to start too. I've got to get on track. Been slipping lately. Today will be my freeday.:p:9 Dh is making Pizza again. He's getting sooo good at it.

I made these cookies you might like.

Fool Yourself Cookies: I doubled this and might add Flax seed next time.

1/2 banana (very ripe)
1 T peanut butter
1 pkg. Swiss Miss
1/4 t Baking Powder
1/2 Scoop Protein Powder

Bake at 300 degrees for 10 min. Makes 6 cookies (equal to one meal)
Cal. 323(6 cookies)... P-31 C-29 F-11 fiber-3

CChar- awesome you got some bike riding in! You had 60 degrees, we had 6 degrees! Today not so bad.

Randi- you starting another rotation? Which one? I still havent' started mine yet, with my ankle last week and all.

Suz- Any more thought on new @@? LOL! I have thought sometimes too. They used to be perfect......then I had kids! AAHHHH!! Oh well! Maybe someday. Anne survived it!

SO, I haven't posted in a bit. Kinda hiding out I guess. I feel better now. WEnt out to dinner last night with alot of my family. My sister is leaving for Mineappolis tomorrow for FLight Attendant training. I will miss her. SHe will be working with Northwest Airlines.
Well, you guys were talking about back fat? WEll, I know I have you all topped! I noticed it the other day when I was sitting with the boys. I have like 5#s of FAT hanging on my lower back. Was not happy. So, I am going to really work harder. I looked back ovver this month and it sucked. I would WO for 3 days, then rest. I know it was injury and health, but still. SO, I need to step it up alot like I know I can and live up to my namesake- Rogue! LOL!!

SO, I will WO tonight, since I rested yesterday. Way to busy too.

Don't take down the pictures!!!!!!!!!!! Some days I might not feel so motivated and if I see pictures like you have up...I get my butt in gear. I want your lats and some of that endurance you got sista! BTW, I got some camo yoga pants. Got them for $2. They are so sexy too. Low rise and come down past my knees. They are spandex, and so form fitting. I wear my Black Sabbath olive green t shirt with it.

Did you order any perfumes? he he.

Sounds like you have been busy. About the back fat, wonder how much is just skin. I was wondering this about myself..think Diane Sue is right about the sodium. I seem to bloat up alot if I don't watch the sodium and then ttom makes it worse. I tend to get really really bloated. Back to what I was saying, if you had kids, your skin in the back has got to stretch some too, as the front stretches out more, right? We can't do much about that. We are blessed to have beautiful children and have the scars from it, if you will. ;-) My attitude is better today, can you tell? I am very moody...NO DUH!!!! (answering self) lol.

I stayed with slow and heavy for the longest time. I love it. Got great results when I first started out.

So I read last night you got the new Bak. oil. I really was curious about that one as I didn't order it. Glad you are liking it.

Char- I was thinking the same thing about the skin. Plus, it has been TTOM around here to, and I have had some sodium lately too. I know it is a combo of skin/fat/water. I just need to get back on track with my WO's and stuff. I am hoping that starting a rotation will shock my body a little and get things going again. You are right, the kids are a blessing and that trumps everything else!

I have been busy. I had to be at work at 6:30am yesterday, and I woke up at 6! I showered, got ready, fed the horses and made it htere by 6:31! Talk about moving fast! Then I worked till 3pm, then out to dinner with fam. Got home at 10 last night. Had some wine too. GOOD wine!

Anne - I'm hoping to feel it tomorrow. Nothing yet. A little chest tightness but thats about it. And yes, I think the CG presses had a lot to do with me not being able to do all the dips. But I also did them on my bench, not the step so I had greater range of motion. Those about killed me. Hope you are feeling more back to your old self. :) You picture looks good, you can't tell you got anything done. I don't see any swelling at all. You look great!

Charlotte - Thanks girl. It felt good to hit the weights again. I went to the Vitamin Shoppe on Friday. I had a $25 points coupon!!! I was so excited. Got about $33 worth of stuff for only $8!

Randi - What is your body telling you? Are you still getting sore doing S&H? If not, I'd say go back to endurance for a while.

Dallys - The 10 climbs/sprints in CC #7 is not bad. I thought I would die but because you are alternating climbs and sprints its really not bad at all. It goes by really fast too. I loved it.

Suz - Hope you had fun doing CC #6! I love that workout. Get anything good at Wal Mart?

Meaghan - I hope I get some good doms tomorrow! I'm sorry to hear about your sister leaving. Thats tough.
 
Hey again! Finished up PLB. Forgot how tough the floor work is on this one. I wanted to take the dog for a good walk, but don't think I'm gonna. It's still to cold. I'm a pansy in the cold. Didn't do abs either. It's crazy, but my abs are really sore from doing Pull-overs on the ball the other day and I got a tweaked neck too. Figure I'll get to them tomorrow.

Char-Thanks, you made me feel better.:) Where'd you get the $2 Camo yoga pants? Funny, I've been looking up Camo stuff all day. I saw a way cute swim suit on a Figure Comp girl and can't find it anywhere. I haven't bought any oils yet, I bought some sunglasses on ebay (doh!)instead. I'll have to wait a week or so for the oils, plus, gotta prepare DH for what's to come.}(

Debbie- Oh good! I can handle it, if it's a mix of climbs and sprints.

Meg- I guess alot of us hate that looser back skin. Maybe it is just skin and is supposed to be there. I think we all just want it alittle tighter and harder to pinch! LOL! We are all to hard on ourselves at times. You were 'speedy gonzales' getting ready for work this morning!

Dallys- yeah, I know. Somedays, I can feel my obliques and they feel tight and good, and then I move my hands around to the back and BLECH!! LOL!! Oh well, that's life. Plus it really depends on how I am sitting. I think Char is right about the loose skin thing too. I have that upfront too! Guess it is bound to happen in some form when you loose almost 65 pounds huh? More motivation to get moving. I let it get me down for about a day, but that is done. I am determined to be bikini clad this summer baby! I have some time to burn it up, so eat my dust baby LOL!!! Just hope my joints keep up with me LOL!!!

Hello it has been a great rest day for me today. We had my grandson's birthday party this afternoon. It was a lot of fun. I did not eat cake so I am patting myself on the back. I had 1 piece of pizza, and a small individual cup of ice cream. I guess you would call this a cheat day :7 I do not think I am going to continue with more than 4 weeks of P90X. I wil think about it this next week.

Lora, maybe you could just do some cardio weight circuits over the next 4 weeks. Check out your dvds. You could do three and the do three cardio days. Maybe you could add in abs and yoga on the other days.

Anne, I think you are going to be so happy with your results.
