Hardcore Fitness Maniacs for Saturday Sept 2

Morning Fit Ladies -

This morning I slept in till 4:30!! Didn't want to get up. My rotation called for a rest day, but I did 55 minutes of Seasun's Rock Steady Step followed by the ab section with med ball and then I did Yoga Shakti using the matrix, Rhythmic Vinyasa, Dancing Warrior 3, Standing Backbend Prep, Supine Poses, Forward Bends and Twists, Inversions and Shavasana.

I followed the first 20 minutes of Rock Steady Step pretty good and it was fun (my DH even walked thru and said "hey, you look like you're catchign on -- he knows Saturdays are my "work on complex coreography day" - he shoulda stuck around for the next section LOL). Anyway, I was able to follow enough to keep my HR in the 150's and I had a good workout. The steps I couldn't get, I did my own version of and it worked out well.

We're either going to see Crank or Little Miss Sunshine. Crank is a movie with that guy from the Transporter (like him) that looks intense and Little Miss Sunshine is an independent film ..comedy that looks off the wall.

Thanks for the advice regarding the work stuff. I've discussed this with my DH and Mom and we all agree that I shouldn't be the one to bring my boss down. I'm going to remain loyal for now....but if it things don't go back to the way they were (in other words, if she doesn't get over this last bump in the road), I'm going to have to go to HR and take her down.....but I'm not going to do it unless I absolutely have to. I'm pretty sure she'll still get canned ...even if I'm not the one to do it. I feel used by HR and I don't appreciate what they did to me. It should be my choice to bring her down and now they've created quite a "predicament" for me and I was semi-fine with the way things were ...compared to the way they are now. Oh well, maybe you ladies are thinking ...then I shouldn't complain about it...but everyone has to vent. Just cuz I vent about it doesn't necessarily mean I'd rather it be worse....if that makes any sense. I'm babbling...so I'll shut up before I insert foot even farther into mouth!! Tends to be my thing lately.

Diana Sue - Can you get your leg up over your shoulder yet in that Forward Bend/Twisting segment of Yoga Shakti? I can get my knee right to my shoulder, but I still can't get to the point where I can actually hoist it all the way up and over. I'm determined to do this pose some day!! Drives me crazy. I want to do it so badly!!

Adri - can you do the pose in yoga where you put your leg up over your shoulder and straighten it behind your head grabbing it with the other hand and stretching? You're a gymnast and young....so I thought of you when doing this today.

I'm off to soak in my Lushie tub with my Armandopando bubble bar and a ton of epsom salts for my poor ol' shoulders and hip.

ETA: Charlotte- YAY!! I just checked my Click & Ship and my package is here...........THAT MEANS MY HUGE CARNIVALE DIABOLIQUE order is here and I'll have lots of oils to play with shortly. Our mailman comes at 11:00 or 11:30 ......THank you God!!! I can also get some good packs up for sale today!!
 
Good Morning,
I am not sure what I am going to do today. I had planned on doing my new Amy Bento's that I ordered but I checked tracking and they wont be here till today Fed Ex. That will probably not be till later and I like to workout in the mornings. Originally it had estimated delivery the 1st.

Lora, no I cannot get my leg over my shoulder. I think I have a long way to go on that one. I am being more careful about not pushing to hard. If it hurts I don't go that far. Now some of those nagging painful spots have let up spots have let up. I would sure like to have that much flexibility though. Have fun with your new oils:) Enjoy your day! Also I do think it was wrong for them to use you with your boss. Everything should have been quiet if they wanted information from you. They handled it badly. There is no way your boss should have known that you were the reason they were onto her.

Morning Maniacs!!
Today is kickboxing at the gym. It starts at 10. Thought it was at 9:15 but it changed. Then I have shoulders, calves, shins, and abs to do. I might to S&H shoulders later too, but I'm going to the gym first. I need to shins because a few girls from my team got shin splints from tumbling so I'll try to prevent that.

Lora- I love the Shavasana at the end yoga. Its so relaxing to just let your body let loose and relax. I've done that yoga pose your talking about, its just that I can't straighten my leg all the way and when I go and grab my foot w/ my other hand, I can only get my toe}( But I'm gettin there. They had that pose in one of the shows in Namaste Yoga. (I think I did it from them) Its a cool pose. Can you do it? Also, Lora its good that your loyal and stuff to your boss because it shows you respect him, but jsut don't let ppl walk over you or take advantage of you. Sometimes ppl will do that to the kind of ppl like you who just doing there job;-) Take Care!

Gosh....I still havent' got in the tub. I've been putting groceries away, etc. I gotta get movin'.

Adri - No ...I can only get my knee up to my shoulder but I can't hoist it over yet. When I first started, I couldn't even go that far...but at my age (47) i doubt I'll ever get there! I can enjoy trying though. I have really tight hips from years of doing aerobics and I've never been a real flexible person. Oddly, I am more flexible at 47 than I was at 27.

Diana Sue - have fun with your new Amy's. Did you get the Step and Pump and Hi-Lo Pump? I preordered her new ones. I can't wait ...90 min ones..yay!! I also just ordered Shiva's new Yoga "Fluid Power" from Acaciacatalog.com. It was $29.99 plus shipping and I'm sure once it retails, it will be much cheaper...but I couldn't wait for it!

Charlotte - I forgot to tell you ....let me know what you want with the Devil's Night and I'll see if I have it. I have some imps made up but I'm getting sort of low and I've run out of quite a bit lately. Also, DH picked up the new Blackstone Cherry and I'm rockin' the CD right now. They are really good. I'll burn it for you if you want. They sort of remind me of a heavy metal version of Lynyrd Skynrd....kind of. They have that heavy driven metal rock sound but they are good ol' boys from Kentucky and the lead singer reminds me of Ronnie VanSant. They opened for Buckcherry and I knew the CD would rock from what I heard at the show. Let me know. thanks. ...me

I really got to get in the tub now.
 
This morning I did Low Max and had a great workout. Skipped the last blast because I hate it, but I did the step section. Had fun! I was in my zone for 55 minutes!!! and burned 378 calories!! Happy with this!

I finalyy finished up my workout. I did High Step Challenge and was think of doing a treadmill run when my Amy Bento workouts arrived. So I did Amy's Step and Pump Good nrg premix then went back and repeated Step#1 the premixes are done as circuits. Then I did her Stretch #2 off of Abs and Stretch.

Dallys, X stretch is really good. I always feel thoroughly stretched when done with that one.

Lora, I will probably order Amys new ones later.

Diana Sue - what did you think of the STep and Pump? I liked the Step portion and thought it was easier to follow. I don't remember the pump version --other than both segments are a bit on the short side.
 
Lora, I liked the weighted segments and the step segments. I think on the 58 min premix there is more cardio because the combined cardio is done more than once. It wasn't really hard to follow, on those back jumps & onto the step I kept leading with the wrong foot. I don't think it will take much though to get this one down. It would be easy to double up either the pump section or the cardio section.

Hey Ladies!!
I just came home just now from school shopping...AGAIN}( }( }( It was soo fun!!! I got so many new tops and belts, new shoes and jeans and 4 new skirts!!!! I love shopping, typical teen;-)

Debbie- Did you only do Low Max today for your workout? And you burned 378 or something like that? Thats fantastic!!! I should do Low Max more often.

Diane Sue- I love HSC. I go heavier on the wieght though and don't do too many reps, but I love it:)

Dallys- Is the Stretchx you did today similar to Cathes Stretch Max? Just curious cuz I should get a stretch workout but I just like stretching on my own sometimes.

Where's Charlotte and Maeghan?

Adri - yes, that calorie burn was just with Low Max. Kind of surprised me because I don't usually burn that many calories with this workout.
 
WD, yes, StretchX is a good one. I got so flexible last time I did P90X, because of the yoga and stetch. I've lost alot of my flexiblity now, dangit. I have alot of work to get back to where I was.

Adri, I don't have Cathe's stretch max. But, P90X StetchX is about an hour long, and has some yoga moves and traditional stetches. It's pretty good as far as a stetch workout goes.

Debbie, I burn alot of calories with LowMax also. It's kind of surprising. I think I burn more than the Imaxes.

Well, it has been a crazy day!!! I have already had two firecalls tonight from the weather, and won't be surprised if there are more.
I am exhausted. I had a nightmare last night, and it freaked me out so much, I really never went back to sleep. Then I was up at 6 when Connor woke up.
SO, I finally got a chance to do a little something. I fried my biceps.
3 sets of 10-12,
seated alternating dumbell curls
preacher barbell curls (on ball)
barbell curls (8 bottom half, 8 top half, 8 full range)
dumbell hammer curls
dumbell and barbell wrist curls, palms up and down
Then after I threw in some concentration curls 8 with 15#, then 8 with 10#. I could not make the very last rep complete!
Picking up a piece of paper is proving difficult right now LOL!!!

I really want and need to do cardio, but not sure, maybe. It is late, and I am tired, but who knows. SOmewhat light a firecracker under my butt will ya???

SOunds like you guys did well today!!
