Morning Maniacs-

This morning I did Kickbox Yoga Fusion with Patricia Moreno. I added on 10 Min Trainer Yoga Flex 10" for the cooldown/stretch. Workout was 65" and I burned 495 calories. I really like this workout. I double time some of the moves and add a bit of impact.

I think I'm gonna try doing Patricia's workouts every Saturday. Her physique is so inspiring to me. She has a really nicely cut, muscular upper body. I have her Intensati workouts also. I once emailed her to ask her about her workout routine and she replied that she did a lot of high rep workouts (and Intensati, kickbox, etc). I think she looks great. I'm gonna try doing more of her workouts.

I still need to try my Dove's....but the first one I did wasn't that much fun. We shall see.

I have to work today.....so no normal Saturday routine for me.

Dallys - what are Valslide Vol 1, 2, 3 that you mentioned? Do I need these?? LOL. You know I do.....cuz I have everything.....but could you just tell me what they are? Written workouts ...consisting of???

Have great workouts everyone.

I finished my workout. I started with Amy's Step Challenge 2 and did the power ups 3 times. I really stumbled through it today. Probably because DH was in the room. LOL I have to really concentrate on that one. Then I did Circuit Zone legs premix stopping at the balancing leg kicks, next I did Ripped and Chiseled w/up with 10's, leg segments and the back track, I then did the back portion of Cathe's timesaver dvd 2 times, I added on 2 sets of 16 reps 1 arm dumbbell rows. I finished with the stretch from Step Challenge 2. I burned 961 calories total. 521 calories during Step Challenge 2.

Diane Sue- Great workout as usual!

Lora- When I bought my Valslides, they came in a kit with a DVD. The kit is by GoFit. On the DVD Valerie guides another girl through the 3 levels, each level gets harder as you go. It's kind of a demo workout showing you how to perform all of the exercises on the card that comes with the kit. It flows smoothly, and she doesn't pause between exercises, but, it is a very basic tape and I don't remember any music. Anyways, it's a great workout and took me about 20-25 min. I'm thinking if I did each circuit/level two or three times it would be killer.

The workout seems basic enough, but as you know, the Valslides make these moves alot harder and alot more fun!

Here is the workout:

Level 1: complete 8 reps of each (each side if applicable)

Reverse Lunge
Side Lunge
Plank-one knee in
Quadruped Extension
Quadruped hip abduction
Modified leg curl

Level 2: complete 10 reps of each (except where noted and each side if applicable)

Reverse lunge w/front and lat raise
Side lunge w/one arm press
Plank-knee tuck
Quadruped extention w/abduction
Tall kneeling w/abduction and addction
Modified pushup fly (5 reps)
leg curl

Level 3: Complete 10 reps of each (except where noted and each side if applicable)

Reverse lunge w/one arm row (uses the band)
Side lunge w/one arm rotational row (uses the band)
Standing abduction adduction
Pike
Single leg eccentric curl (5 reps)
Modified pushp fly-two arms

Note: On the 2 exercises that use the band, you pull in as you come up out of your lunge; I wrap mine around my squat rack and it works great.

If you have anymore questions, just holla!

Hello :D

My internet is finally up and running  I had problems since day one.
finally able to access my mail. Hola :p

Yesterday's workout:

Today's workout: 2 hour walk & triceps

I need a bath I will check back later. Thank Goodness my internet is now up and running........

Nice workout guys :D

Just returned from buying some stuff for dh trip to Kosovo. We stopped for dinner and I had salmon, burgundy mushrooms and a ceasars salad(the salad was my cheat:D) I had grapes this morning and some soymilk with decaf coffee.

Teddy, glad you got your internet up and running. I know how annoying it can be not to be able to access your stuff.

Dallys, you could get some of the gliding disc workouts. I am sure that you will use those with Cathe's new ones. I use my gliding discs on some moves from Amy's workouts. I have several of the gliding disc workouts. Wish they were a little more upbeat though. gofit.net has some good workout gadgets but most of their dvd's are just basic instruction. Although I think the weighted jumprope that I have has an actual intense looking workout. I just have a hard time with space using it in the house. The foam roller dvd was a disappointment and the roller is so short that it is my balancing tool. I really like their workout log. I just bought my second one. It gives me a place to track eating as well as workouts and h/r etc.. Wish I had the Valslides though because they can be used on floor or carpet. My gliding discs are for carpet.
