Hardcore Fitness Maniacs for Sat July 28

I did my Jillian Book Circuit Backside and modified the jump rope, etc on the rebounder with my boot on. I added on a little Firm cardio at the end but it was so low impact cuz of my foot....that it ended up being more of an extended cool down. Workout was 1 hour 14 minutes and I burned 420 calories. I also did Eion Finn's Pure and Simple Yoga 40".

Good Morning Maniacs!!!

P90X legs/back today. FIL like 80% better. Was shocked to see such a turn around this morning with him. He is even with it too. He may be able to go back to his home sooner.
 
Morning folks. Feel like a bus hit me. Bored here. I can see some today.
I am alive and so far all went well.. I am going to get cleaned up here and have the dh take a few pics. lol..
I may be back in the groove for the new workouts here..

This morning was shoulder day and I had a great workout. I'm liking this rotation so far:

Shoulders
Dumbbell Press: 15's - 2 sets/12 reps (warmup)
Dumbbell Press: 30's - 3 sets/6 reps
Dumbbell Hammer Grip Front Raise: 17's - 1 set/8 reps then dropped to 15's - 2 sets/8 reps
Lateral Raise: 20's - 3 sets/10 reps
Bent Over Lateral Raise: 20's - 2 sets/12 reps
***Notes: I'm psyched that I did 3 sets with 30# dumbbells for the presses! I have struggled with this exercise for what seems like forever. The first rep is always the hardest with this exercise, why is that? Hammer Grip Raises were hard for me today, not sure why? The bent over raises at 20's felt really good.

Was suppose to do 20-30 min. of cardio but I got on the scale and I'm still at 125.4# with around 16% body fat. I'm happy with this so who needs cardio? Plus I wil be really busy today getting ready for my mom's 70th surprise birthday party so what better reason to skip cardio? LOL!

Rented "The Number 23" last night. Weird but good movie. Kind of slow in parts, I dozed off a few times. LOL!

Hey Maniacs! I'm feeling some DOMS from doing BM2 upper 2X yesterday. Today is Butts and Gutts and maybe some cardio. Tom Venuto from BFFM tells me to do cardio 6-7 days a week until I lose all the weight I want and then I can cut back. Should I listen to him?

Char, hope the FIL does ok..I have a hard time seeing the Cancer, kemo side affects.. It can be ok or horrible..Breaks my heart..

My dad is in the hosp.Heart again. Went in last night. I gotta call him here.. I can't go out as of yet..


Diane Sue, and everyone, (do a workout for me this week..) I am up and down here. I get full of energy then tired. Guess it will be a few days..
MAybe it is the Perks and Muscle relaxant?? Who knows. Going to go to Tylenol tomorrow. Trying to sleep more now..

Good afternoon!

Just got back from a ride with DH - skipped the group ride so DH could sleep in since he has to work late tonight. Rode hills. Hard!!! 27.5 miles, 1hr 36 min. Wanted to go further but I forgot gels to refuel. But he couldn't ride that long anyway b/c he has to work in a couple of hours. Kinda windy and hard to breathe on the way out. Much better on the way back. Goin' to the dr. in a week to ask if I can try a new inhaler (I know...but it's only a rescue one).

My tri's are sore from Diane Sue's tricep workout - and I didn't even do the part with the bands! Yay!!! My abs are sore from Ab Ripper. I'm SURE my legs will be sore from today's hills. What more could a girl ask for??? :)

I have to go to TJ Maxx and try to find some work pants. I've officially lost 20 pounds and my selection of pants in my closet are sad. Also going to go buy some Kongs to donate to my favorite pit bull rescue organization, www.badrap.org. They are always in need. LOVE them!

Debbie - Congrats at being at your goal. Have fun with your mom's suprise party.

Dallys - I think you look great. Love the new avatar. I would agree with Tom about reaching your goal. Although I would say 6 days a week, not 7. I did cardio 6 days a week to reach my goal - but of course cut back my calories like crazy too.

Storm - Loved the pics. Can't wait to see the new ones. Glad you're feeling better.

Char - GREAT NEWS about your FIL. I hope he keeps improving. I'll keep praying for him.

Lora - I hope you enjoy your movie today.

20# i am so happy for ya. I feel so bloated right now like i have gained 10 in 3 days.My yahoo updated.. Big difference.. .

Dallys, i swear i am doing some band work as soon as the eyes are healed up here..
Gonna walk the treadmill for an hour a day in a couple days. Little movement is better than nothing ..

Finally I am able to check in. I slept in this morning. Did my workout and then DH and I went out to dinner and drove around a rural area. Went to buy headsets for our motorcycle so we can talk to each other while riding:) I started with Body Max 2 cardio weight premix(stopped at the abs) then I did the cardio minus w/up and stretch of BM2 timesaver cardio, I followed this with the abs and then Butts and Guts floor work. I wore 5# ankle weights throughout the lower work and used a 20# dumbbell for the glute raises, then I did the stretch and added Rainbeau Mars Dawn yoga Bonus segment. This took me 2 hrs and 18 minutes.

Dallys, I would not listen to Tony. You don't look like you have any weight to lose.

Charlotte, I am so glad to hear your fil is doing better.

Anne, it looks like you are up and around some. I doubt you would want to go to the movies yet. Did the children enjoy Ratatoulle?

Diane Sue, DH said the animations were great. Steven liked it. Had to pee like 3 times though..

I am not feeling that bad, just sore and duzzy in the eyes..
Swellings starting to go down.
I agree. Dallys, you are skinny.. Now i have weight to loose..
Heading for the pickles.. (as we say this)Would rather have pizza.LOL..
