Morning Maniacs -

I can't believe it's Monday already. Where did the weekend go?

This morning I did Jillian's 30-Day Shred 2-3. I used my 10-25 lb DBs and added ankle weights and DB's to the ab work. This felt tough this morning. Workout was 65" with stretch and I burned 450 calories.

Have great workouts everyone.

Good Morning
Lora I dont know if you read the answer to your question? But it's on sundays check in:)
Today for me is 4DS cardio power I might add GS legs floor work only.
Have a great day
Randi

Randi - I forgot...you asked me what time I get up to work out last week and I forgot to answer. I get up at 2:20 and I start working out at 3:00 am.

Good Morning Maniacs!!!

I am still not able to get this weight down and the weather this week so far is not cooperating with a long bike ride. I have to get my weight back to at least 117-118. It is depressing me. I am having nightmares over it. I can feel the fat around the mid section and it disturbs me so today I will just do 500 cal burn on elliptical plus leg strength training as Debbie has for today. I think I will be mixing cardio with strength training. I got to revv up things again. I am gonna switch up my meals as well to be like this:

Meal 1: kelloggs high protein cereal plus yogurt/nuts
Meal 2: Tuna Fish (straight from can..no crackers)
Meal 3: Chicken breast (2 of them) w/broccoli
Meal 4: Protein Shake and 3 scrambled eggs (minus 2 of the yokes)
Meal 5: Meat (no carbs)
Meal 6: Protein Shake mixed with only water

I haven't been eating bad prior, I JUST CAN'T GET THE FRIGGIN POUNDS TO GO DOWN!

Char You diet that you have posted looks great! But it looks like your abs look great in your pictures! So what are you trying to lose?
It kind of looks like what I eat. Helping cut carbs made a tremindous difference. But I still eat them just stop about 3 in the afternoon.
I had 2 dates yesterday one of them was a bodybuilder seemed real nice but kind of shy. I don't like that! I like guys that are into me and ask me about my life and seem to be affectionate. This guy might but first impressions are everything}( Then later that evening like at 5 I met up with this one guy and he was everything I liked but he's not self sufficient he moved back home after college. He's been home for 2 years and not done anything with his degree besides substitue teach every now and then. I know I live at home too but i'm making money and saving it so I can get the HECK OUT!!!
I have the worst luck! So i'll give it a week and see how things gox(

Randi,

Your such a dear! That was last years picture, but I am not far away from that, just alittle fat. I am very hard on myself for the most part, but I HAVE TO stay in control, that is just me. I have been eating more fruits right now, but they are good for you, ya know? lol. I love my canteloupe and watermelon.

You don't like shy guys? Me either. I love the alpha male type..aggressive and very much a gentleman! My hubby is that way. You seem to like what I like in a man. Yeah, it is great when a man is more responsible and can think for himself and get things done, etc. Lazy is not a good sign. Don't rush anything. Have fun.

Today was shoulders. I'm still sore from Saturday's workout but did this anyways. Had a great workout and it feels great to be back at it. I was suppose to do legs but I'm moving that back as far as I can in hopes of getting my new Leg Press machine by Friday. Fingers are crossed. I'll be bummed if I don't get it by then.

1:30 minutes rest between each set.

Morning.

I see everyone is off to a terrific start.

I had a wonderful weekend with my grand kids, they’re awesome. I haven’t worked out since Sunday and this morning I was to TIRED to even get out of my bed. Man oh man; children have a way of wiping me out. I actually feel like crap! Could be lack of water from the weekend we stayed up to 3 watching movies and eating pizza laughing blah…blah…Sunday they went home my apartment was a mess, did a little cleaning and I was in bed before 10pm Any who, tomorrow I should be on track.

When I get home tonight, hot bubble bath and going to post up and watch Amy's workouts, they seem like goodies. Have a great day!:D

Morning Maniacs! Just got off the treadmill. Did 30 min. of walking intervals. Plan on another workout later today. Might do a Slim Series workout.

Dh and I spent the weekend in Fruita Co. and did some biking. This town is a mountain bikers paradise! We had so much fun! I'll post some YouTube clips on the rides we did so you can get an idea of how fun mountain bike riding can be and why I'm so frikin' crazy about it.}(

Lora- great going on the Jillian workout!

Randi- Great workout as usual. Love your new avatar! Maybe give the shy bodybuilder a chance. Sometimes they are only shy in the beginning.

Char- Isn't it crazy how hard it is to lose a couple pounds? I'm sure you'll be able to do it. I wouldn't be surprised if you put on some muscle after that P90X+ rotation.

Debbie- what kind of leg press machine you gettin'? We must see pictures, as you well know.:)

Meg!!!!!!!!!!! So glad to see you! Where have you been girl?

Teddygirl- Sounds like the gk's wore you out! Hope you get your bubble bath later today!

Well, work calls...gotta run

I just finished Kick Punch Crunch and I had a blast. I smell pretty bad tho. lol.

Char- I hear ya on the extra pounds. I gained a few. I would be lying if I said I didn't like that a few of those pounds seemed to go to my boobs lol! That part is nice, but yeah...not the rest!

Randy- I agree, give the bodybuilder a chance. Atleast you know you two have one big thing in common.

Dallys- The mountain biking sounds like alot of fun. That's cool that you and the hubby got a nice weekend together.

Maeghan AKA megadoo

Debbie- SAAWEET! That looks like a great leg press machine. Can't imagine the weight you'll be pushing with it!}(

Meg-Great job on the workout! Yeah, dh and I have alot of fun with the mountain biking. I'd love to get one of those cool camera's to put on my handlebars or helmet or however they do it. I'd probably crash and bust it first time out though. LOL!

Teddygirl,

I am glad yesterday was my official rest day cuz I was really tired too for some reason. My day was kinda the same as yours yesterday with watching movies, etc. Now I gotta catch up.

Bionics,

You have PM mail!!!! lol. Glad to here your having so much biking and such! When the weather improves, I will be able to get on mine...I am hoping Weds.

Debbie,

I am gonna go ahead and stick with leg work today. My shoulders are still sore from the other day from chest/tri work.

Good morning - today I decided to continue on the 8 week training. I added a bit though - here it is

Chest
Flat barbell press - 40 lb 5/5/5

Back
Couble arm rows with 25 lb Dbs 5/5/5

Squats
50 lb barbell - 5/5/5 I added walking lunges with 20 lb dbs and 40 steps

shoulders
Dumbbell Press - 20 lb 5/5/5

Triceps
close grip press - 3-0 lb barbell 5/5/5

Debbie - notice I bolded text! The ab work I have been doing is as follows:

ball roll ins / pike
and (this is new) - I get on the ball and put my feet on the leg extension attachment of the bowflex ( I am opposite the machine) and hang down resting my back on the ball. I then raise up - like crunches - but it is very hard because you are hanging down. I do some with my arms behind my head which is harder and then some with them across my chest. It seems to really work my lower abs (which is where i need it!)

Have a great day everyone.

Ally,

Nice workout!

BTW, I am eating just what I said I am eating today from my meals posted above. JOY! No chocolate, no fruit...I am gonna be made out of metal again real soon..watch out!

I didn't get much sleep last night. We went to bed early enough but huge hail storms and rains hit. Was woke up at 1:40 am with tornado sirens going off. I had a hard time falling back to sleep. Once I got going though I did Amy's Hi Lo Knockout and then did Slow and Heavy Triceps, Biceps, and abs adding some weight. I really enjoyed Amy's knockout workout. I did the ab work from this Saturday with 10# dumbbells, I lowered to 8 today. I am not sure but I may go back to 10's next time. I had a sore midsection all day yesterday but I think it may have been a combination of the med ball work on In the Ring which I repeated several times and the Knockout core work.

Meahgan, good to see you back:) Missed your checkins.

Charlotte, it sounds like you are on the right track. I am sure it won't take long at all and you will be where you want to be. It just takes finding the right adjustment sometimes between workouts and diet.

Ally, I am trying to picture that pike/ rollin Bowflex ball move. You lay on your back on the ball with feet under or on top of the leg extension attachment? Bottom or top rollers? Does the ball move? I am always interested in something new:)
