Hardcore Fitness Maniacs for July 31 Tues

I'm really enjoying Cathes May rotation 4 day split I do add a little extra like yesterday S&H legs and shoulders plus GS legs floor work. I am sore today!!

Good Morning, today is S&H legs and maybe shoulders. Adding shoulders makes it a long workout since I add to legs. I like having the two days a week for just cardio, abs and yoga. I will see how it goes timewise. I have to go run errands and get paperwork done today.

This morning I got out of bed and can still hardly walk. WTF??? My calves are so tight as well as my hamstrings and quads. I stretched before I went to bed last night and felt better, but today I'm still very sore.

Still got on my treadmill and just did a steady state at 3.5 mph with a 3% incline. Got my HR up but not like I usually do. Each step was a chore but I pushed through and kept going.

Cardio stats: (as sad as they are)

3.2 miles travelled

Diane Sue - I read what you wrote last night about your workouts. Good stuff. I was thinking of doing bi's & tri's together with the rotation I made up but decided not too. Maybe I'll try it next time.
 
I ended up doing Spinervals - Lean & Mean. Workout was 58 minutes and I burned 407 calories. I also did Upper Back & Neck Yoga by Gary Kraftskrow.

This Spinervals workout wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. I guess I need to try a hrder one.

Suz - which Spinervals one do you have? I'm not sure how the interview went. It was more of a prescreening process. Lots of tests. I guess I'll know one went well when I get offered a job! I had another one last week and I thought I did really well at the interview, but no job offer.....so I'm not guessing any more!

I've got a migraine. I started again and I just finished....maybe it's from nerves or worrying?? Or maybe it's cuz I'm on antibiotics again. When I went for my doctor appt last week with the pain doctor, the nurse told me my lower lobes (lungs) were wheezy...so I had to call my family doctor and he put me onBaxin. I don't like taking Aunt Flo on vacation with me!! LOL. She's a real pain in the butt!!

Have great workouts. I've got lots to do around here ....getting ready for vacation. I also have a doc appt this afternoon for my foot.
 
Hi Everyone,

Currently I am following Debbie's One Body Part A Week II Rotation. Yesterday I completely fried my chest and this more I tortured my back. But I have a tough time focusing in on my back. Any hints? Especially with the pull overs this morning, since my chest was sore, it kept taking my focus away from my back!x(

Hi guys! I finally have my computer back and fixed! I am so happy!
So I really am ready to buckle down and get to work. Speaking of work, I got a new job and I start tomorrow! Very excited about that, as I am a single mom now! I think it will all work out good in the long run.

So, back in the house, back on track. I am going to WO later this evening, so I am planning cardio, and probably bis and tris. I have 3 extra pounds, and a few jiggles, so back to work is me!

I will be back later, since I have a computer again!!

Deb- my legs were like that last week after B&G. Very sore for days!

Lora- hope your headache goes away and you feel better.

Linda - Just concentrate on using those muscles. Focus, focus, focus. Squeeze with the back muscles, try not to involve your upper body if at all possible. It's hard to do but can be done.

Lora - how did your interview go yesterday?
 
New diningroom furniture is arriving in a few minutes. Ordered in April..finially coming. We just live so far from the delivery areas so dh worked something out with his guys since he is in the furniture business. Can't wait to see it. FIL is still here with his happy ass dogs. He will be able to go home tomorrow we think. I want to have some time to myself to decorate, etc.

Morning Maniacs!

This morning I rode - alone. My only cycling partner left still has company and as you know the pregnant one only rides with us on Thursdays b/c she's slower. I went 22 miles, 1 hour, 20 minutes. I passed these 2 guys and of course my competitiveness kicked in so I booked it and left them in the dust. :p Of course I can't do that with the guys in the cycling club, but it was fun. It was right after I came up this monster hill and I was TIRED!!! They came from a side road and hadn't just done that hill.

Lora - I have No Slackers Allowed 1.0, Time Trial Special 2.0, Muscle Breakdown 4.0, Zoot Challenge 6.0, The Uphill Grind 7.0 and I think that's it. My friend and her DH have Hillacious and they say that's a great one - really tough. And they're super fast cyclists. I think they're all really tough. For me anyway. I have my very first road bike set up on a trainer in the basement and so I use the same type of gearing that I use on my outside road bike so I can simulate what it's like out on the road - for the most part. My HR gets waaaay up there on those workouts. Use to be 180's and 190's. I haven't tried one in awhile. Maybe you're just better conditioned since you do so many varied workouts! Mine are all on VHS and I need to get them on DVD someday. They're getting old.

Hey Maniacs! Taking a short break here for my 2nd breakfast.:p It's a gross green shake! Lot's of good stuff in it though. I doubt I'll buy any more green crud after this container I bought is gone. It's quite gross IMO. Hubby just informed me that we are going to see John Hiatt tonight! I've seen him before and he is FANTASTIC!

Suz- Great ride this morning. Love how you dusted those slowpokes!

Randi- When is the road trip? YOu are so lucky you get to go!

Linda- I love working back, but I don't feel pullovers much either. They are uncomfortable for me and I can't go real heavy with them.

Randi - Oh yeah, I forgot to mention how excited I am for you about the RT!!! And we'll get to see some great pics of you now too. :) Surely lots of people will take lots of pics. You're gonna have a blast.

Linda - I love pullovers for some reason. It's one of my favorite exercises. I really have to focus on my posture and my upper back is always sore (from my sucky posture!) and those just feel so good. But I suck at bench press. :p

It has been a busy day. I had the water filter people come out and then had to go do my errands with 3 of my grandchildren. Anyway, I started with a treadmill run and did 5-1/4 miles, then I did Slow and Heavy Legs stopping at the calves, then did Bowflex standing kickbacks 2 sets of 15 reps 60#, and 2 sets 310# calf raises 25 reps, went back and finished S&H calves and shoulders. After the stretch I did Yoga Shatki back bend lunge prep. I like this because I get a good stretch in the hamstrings and quads.

calf raises 40# dumbbells

Charlotte, I bet you are excited abou getting your new dining room furniture. I hope you can have your home to yourself for awhile.

Debbie, I hate having tight legs. Somtimes a cardio workout and some stretching will help loosen them up. Mine tend to get tight from treadmill running.

Diane Sue - I did the treadmill this morning, it made my legs worse! Not sure what's going one. I was going to go for my 2 mile walk this evening (like I do every evening) but I just can't even fathom walking right now. I did abs instead.

This evening I did the ab work from Muscle Max. I forgot how good this workout is. Lots of jack knives!!!
