Morning Maniacs -

I couldn't sleep last night again....ugh. Didn't fall asleep 'till 11 or 11:30 and up at 3. I'm off to do my Jillian Book circuit with some new tunes and then maybe a bit of yoga. I have an early hair appt this morning (and gooness do I need it - hair is out of control). Be back in a bit.
 
I did my Jillian Backside Circuit from the book. Did the Terry Pulls with the door attach/band doubled up and used my Extreme band for the lat pulls. Added ankle weights and DB's to the bicycles and put 10 pounds on my back for the twisting planks. Used ankle weights on reverse crunches also. Used my real jump rope for the JR segments. Listened to the new Velvet Revolver - Liberated. I added on the beginner segment of Kung Fu Kickbox. Workout was 1 hour and 18" and I burned 450 calories. I then did Karen Voight's Streamlined Yoga 30".

Dallys- now that you got me into these book circuits. ARe there any other books that have these other than NROL? How did you like the Fatburning circuits in NROL? Just as good as Jillian's??

Diane Sue - I forgot to mention that the doctor told me to do these certain calf stretches 3 times a day. Do you stretch your calves a LOT? I already have neck/shoulder stretches I have to add to my day now and now calf stretches?? what's next. I always thought I stretched pretty good with all of my yoga, but my TIGHT hamstrings from running would disagree with me constantly!! Geez....it's never enough the older you get.

Have great workouts ladies. I'm off to do my neck (and I guess calf stretches) and off to get this wild hair cut!! I wish I could style my hair and it wasn't so frizzy/curly so I could have some really cool style! This humid weather is killer on curly haired ladies!
 
Forgot - I need rec's for really intense lower impact cardio. In Jillian's book she says your supposed to keep your HR at 85% on your cardio day for 50" straight. HOw am I gonna do that low impact?? Ideas please.

I must not still be feeling up to par. Did Gym Style back and bi's and KPC abs but did not have any energy or strength:( This Sucks!!

Not a great day for cardio, didn't have a great nights sleep for some odd reason. Too much stuff in my brain right now I guess.

I ended up doing Challenge 1 of the Press Play Cardio Coach workout (I love that challenge) and then did all of Cardio Coach #3. I was really hungry this morning and probably should have eaten something. I had a really bad dizzy spell on my treadmill. That could be dangerous if you lose your footing. Anyways, it passed pretty quickly and I was ok for the rest of my run.

Cardio stats:
60 min. workout
53 min. in zone
376 calories burned
3.5 miles travelled

Was going to do abs but really didn't feel like it. I'll do them tomorrow.

Good Morning, today I am doing a treadmill run, abs, and yoga. I wanted to give the upper body a rest day before I do Gym Style Chest and Triceps tomorrow.

Lora, I do stretch my calves and heel a lot. I believe it makes a difference if I stretch after a warm up and before I really get into my workout. As far as fruit, I think there is a place for it in the diet and it is definitely better than caramel creams:) It has fiber and nutrients. I like to eat it with some protein after a workout. Early in the day is the best time because it will help provide energy.

Debbie, sorry you didn't sleep. I hate when the mind is still busy when I am trying to sleep. I can't imagine being dizzy on the treadmill.

Diane Sue - how do you stretch your heels?

Deb - sorry to hear you didn't sleep.......I've got the same brain overload thing going on and haven't slept well the past week. It must be all of the worrying about finding a job. Good workout for not feeling up to it though.

This morning I rode with my friend Jen. Our pregnant friend Chris didn't show. Jen wanted a fast ride so that was good. We rode hard. Ride was an hour and 25 minutes. I hope Chris is feeling ok. Prob just tired.

Lora - Sorry you didn't sleep well. Don't know if you saw my post to you last night. Forgot to mention Grauman's Chinese Theatre is in Hollywood. And I hear you on the hair. All the cute cuts are for straight hair. Makes me angry! x( We shouldn't complain though. We should be thankful we have hair and that we are healthy, right?

Debbie - Watch those dizzy spells. NOT safe! Better eat first. :)

Randi - I hope you start to feel better soon. That does suck.

Dallys - That Carma is a lucky girl!

Gotta go visit the muscle man rock climbing instructor again. The newspaper is coming to take pics of the kids climbing and there is one who is not allowed to have pics taken so I need to alert the instructor. Plus my boss just told me I could spend $600 out of HIS budget (not mine!) to purchase climbing eqiupment for the kids classes (we conflict with the adult credit classes and also the harnesses are kinda big). Woo hoo!!! They're so popular so that's awesome news! I need to find out what to buy. Be back later.

Suz - yes, I saw it. So Mom and Dad were married in Hollywood and lived there. If I would have been born there, I'd definitely be dead by now....due to my past!! Yoy! Thanks for the rebounder reminder. I have to break out my toughest rebounder workouts to use for cardio. Thanks again.
 
HI girls, have a few min and thought i would drop in..
Need a w/o tonite.
I finally got groc, oil change , car washed and have been really buisy here..
Going to do some total body weights and at least a 1/2 hr cardio tonite

Need to go back and read.. All have a great day.

You may like this...when FIL lived with us, I was buying more oils then so he knows my addiction to them. So he asked me what I was wearing today..."lizards breath"?? lol. I thought it was funny. I told him if Beth has something called that I wouldn't buy it anyways. Told him about the Jailhouse hootchie, Paris Hilton oil and he thought it was funny.

Lora- The NROL workouts are good, but they are not circuits. They are more of a Super set/Giant set type workout, with varying rests and reps/sets as it progresses. I know that Alwyn Cosgroves "Afterburn" has circuit workouts and so does "Turbulance training" by Craig Ballantyne. I have a copy of a turbulance workout somewhere on my computer. If you are interested in that I can try to find it.:) Thanks for the heads up on Chris Cornells CD! I have got to have it! You know I'm in love with him.:9

Suz- Yes! I too am the type that would pull a "Eric Zabel" and crash the whole pelaton! I do things like that! LOL! How fun you get to buy some good rock climbing equipment for the kids.:)

Randi- You've been working out so hard you might need some time to rejuvenate. Hate when I lose energy too.

Debbie- Sorry your workout was not as great as you wanted. Be careful!

Anne- Don't you hate coming home from vacation, just to catch up with everything? Have a fun workout tonight.:)

Char- Lizards Breath! That scent might come in handy in certain situations. LOL! How's P90X going?

I gotta find a new ipod. The DH washed it at the beach and i was going to get a bigger one, but i may just do the video one for the gym w/o's.. What do ya think. I really hate to blow 350 on a stupid video ipod....

Son and I finished are arm workout. This workout was easier for him then the others so far. Ab ripper x later tonight.

I am starting to get to one of the girls at work with diet. Now she won't eat her hotdog if it is deep fried anymore. lol. As for me, it is going just like I planned. I don't get the munchies at night anymore for grapes or doritos, etc. I smell the greasy food and I lose my appetite. I feel like my bodyfat might be getting a tad lower as I see my veins more in my arms too, and I am getting paid!!!! lol. Makes me sad though to see very obese people eating banana splits so late at night. I want to tell them they don't need it. I actually had one elderly lady come in and ask if there is anything she should eat here..I said, "Not really". lol.

Anne- I haven't been bit in ages. I have lightning fast reflexes! I kid you not! Most biters get sent home. Been in the biz to long to deal with those anymore, thank goodness.

I know these are expensive so I'll try to find the TT one I have for you. It looked pretty good, from what I remember.

Suz- Did you ever get Annes "Worm" email! I still have nighmares from that one!

Char- That is funny. Really, what can you tell them to eat? Have you seen that "eat your vegies" commercial? Guy goes up to the drive thru and asks for double cheese burger hold the tomatoes and lettuce. Old lady worker reaches out and bopps him on the forehead! ROFL!
