Hardcore Fitness Maniacs for Friday July 4

Morning Maniacs -

This morning I did WSFL Strength, Metabolic Circuits and HIIT. I did chest press on an incline and rows for the strenght set and then abs on the ball with deadlifts first circuit and step ups and KB swings for 2nd circuit. Intervals were 3 rounds of 120/120. I only got my HR up to 158...total workout was 65" and I burned 520 calories.

I still feel like I didn't have a "great" workout....so I'll probably continue doing a few more days of WSFL until I get some intense days in. Also, I'm waiting for my new Dove workouts to get here.....so I can do them when I get them.

I also did Dharma Yoga for stress relief 20".

I have to go to a family picnic at my DH's niece's house. Not happy about that cuz they will have nothing but food that's bad for you. I'm taking whole wheat pasta with marinara sauce...but that's still a little too much carbs for me.

I don't like my haircut from yesterday either! When will I ever find a stylist I like?? It's fo frustrating.

Yesterday, July 3rd: 63 degree high. WTF???

Today, July 4th: 73 degree high. Again, WTF???

I just don't get it.

Anyways, this morning I did an excellent cardio workout. I chose one of my Cardio Coach mixes and burned tons of calories. Which is good because dh and I are going riding and I'm sure we'll hit a few food places and ice cream stands!

Hey Ladies - I am back!

I had a great workout today. i did pull ups unassisted!

pullups 3/3/3/3
hanging leg raises 6/6/6/6
step ups 15/15/15
cable lunges 15/15/15/
lying leg curl 15/15/15
leg extension 15/15/15
then Amy Bentos boot camp -

total workout was 1 hour and 27 minutes and I burned 650 calories.

Hello Maniacs,

No workout for me today. My glutes are screaming already from yesterday's workout. I know that tomorrow will be worse. Maybe it will be a yoga day. Plus, "Aunt Flo" visited last night and she's more intense than ever. I'm enjoying my downtime by getting my hair done.

I finished my workout. I did Kelly's 30 min to fitness biceps, triceps and shoulders with low cardio recoveries stopped at the stretch and repeated then I did Cathe's Supersets Round 3 skipping the lower and core 2times which was the shoulders, biceps and triceps. For Cardio I did Amy Bento's Hi/Lo Ko. I burned 453 calories for the weight workout and 677 calories doing Hi/Lo Ko. I wanted to get the exact calorie burn for Hi/Lo Ko so did w/up cardio core and stretch. I used 15# dumbbell for the modified turkish get up, 12# for everything else except the standing chop side to side and for that I used 8's. Total calorie burn was 1087 and workout time was 2hrs30 min.

Kelly's 30 minutes to Fitness bis, tris, and shoulders went like this:
bicep curls, hammercurls w/squat hesitation 20's 2sets, 15's 2 sets
triceps kickbacks 24 reps? 15's
front/side lateral 24 reps 15's
repeat all then low cardio recovery
biceps half curl then pushaway 8reps 15's
overhead triceps extension front and back 8 each side 15# db
bent over lat raise 15 15# db's dropped to 12's last set
repeat all then low cardio recovery
bicep curls switch hands 20# db's ? reps she does a lot of 1side switch then both
1 arm kickback 8 reps each arm 20# db
1 arm shoulder press 20# db
repeat all then low cardio recovery

Super Sets
Overhead press 2sets 15# db's I sat on the stability ball
Preacher curl with stability ball 35# dumbbells 2x26
triceps extensions on stability ball 2x16reps 15# dumbbells

Off to a rodeo and then to a barbecue:D

Lora, I hear you on finding something to eat. I usually grab a piece of whatever meat is there and veggies. If someone makes a veggie tray or melon/fruit tray I will head there:) Guess that woud't work for you though. I am taking deviled eggs made with lots of mustard and a little fat free mayo and season salt.

Haven't worked out so there was nothing to report. But a week of no activity finally got to me this morning. Can tell I haven't workout because sleep is getting difficult. So here's what i did this morning.
Thought I'd stick with the full body five rep thing since it's been a week.

Barbell Press
5/4 - 105#
5 - 100#

Barbell Rows
5/5/5 - 100#

Squats to parallel
5/5/5 - 110#

Overhead Press
5/5/5 - 30's

Barbell Curls
5/5/5 - 55# - really worked the negative on these

Cross Body Kickbacks
8/7/9 - 20's - the fact that my left arm is weaker really showed on this exercise, so I think I will add exercise for the left arm
for awhile.

Then during the one minute rests between sets I ran on the TM at 4.5 for a total of 15 minutes and traveled a little over a mile. Good news is the knee felt great! Then did some offset lunges and stability ball roll outs for abs. Should be good and tired tonight!
 
Lora, I have been meaning to mention the new Retro line Lush is bringing back. Have you looked at the shower gels??

Dallys, I have been meaning to mention the items from Lush that I love. Not that I want to enable you or anything}( I love the Rehab shampoo, American Cream conditioner, Flying Fox shower gel (strong on the jasmine scent) Karma anything(although the solid perfume smells like chapstick with Karma scent) I would not repurchase the solid perfume. Jungle solid conditioner, the Jasmine Henna fluff eaze conditioner. I just have a hard time buying any other hair care products LOL I like Daddy O shampoo but it is because it really does tone out the yellow in my hair.

Diane Sue- Thank you! I'm pretty sure I have the same hair texture as you (at least from what we describe we have) and I really wanted to try something that you recommend. I'm printing this (and Lora's suggestions) out and will investigate when I go into the store. It's pretty overwhelming when you go in because of all the choices, so it will be nice to be able narrow it down.:)
