Hardcore Fitness Maniacs for Friday July 13

Cathlete
Happy Friday the 13th Maniacs -

I'm off to do my circuit and probably some yoga. I'm not feeling well with this cold and if I wasn't determined to finish my circuit week off before my functional fitness week next week, I'd probably just do something less demanding.....but I'm determined to finish the week out.

Dallys - thanks for the info last night. All the info out there can confuse you sometimes.

Toasty - the update is live and it's just 13 and the other 2 LEs that are up until the 15th.....big one must be coming with the Lunar Update.

Be back later.

I ended up doing my Jillian Frontside Book Circuit followed by Kung Fu Kickbox The Kicker segment. I backed off intensity just a bit due to being under the weather. Workout was 1 hour and 11 minutes and I burned 400 calories. I also did Yoga for Stress Prevention 35".

Dallys- Did you repeat the weeks in Jillian's book? I'm supposed to do the first 2 weeks the same routine....but since I doubt I'll stick with the entire 12 weeks without being sick of them....I was thinking I should just move thru them rather than repeat. What do you think? I ended up ordering Afterburn cuz the perfume update today was very small.....but then after I ordered, I remembered the Lunar update at the end of the month might be the big update!! oh well...too late now. I thought Turbulunce Training was really short workouts.....20" of weights and 20" cardio? Sounds like nothing. I doubt I'd look any good doing that unless I ate like a Fitness Competitor!!

Have great workouts everyone.

Today is my rest day and Avon delivery day. Looks beautiful out and actually quite cool. Should be a nice one.

Lora - Did you watch Night Shift? I taped it but haven't watched it yet. Probably later. I'm two days behind on GH. Also, who is the lead singer of Puddle of Mudd? He sounds familiar.

Deb - nope...I don't get SoapNet, remember? I need to get a job! Let me know how it is. I wish I could watch it! From memory......and I may be wrong....so don't hold me on this -- I think the lead singer of Puddle of Mudd is Wes Scanlon. I don't know if he's ever been in any other band though. I thought he sort of sounded like Kurt Cobain a bit on their first album. Actually, I thought some of their songs sort of sounded Nirvanish.

Good Morning
Just finished Gym Style Legs. Felt weak due to this little sickness I have. Might do abs when I get home from work. We'll see how I feel.
I can't wait to get the new workouts! They look so awesome and tough!
Have a great day
Randi

We recieved some great news yesterday during our family birthday party. I am going to get another grandbaby:D This one will have so much attention as my youngest grandchildren are 7 now. Today I am doing a Kickbox workout, abs, and yoga. I am going to go to the grocery store and get some more salad stuff. I want to get the ingredients for a salad in the August issue of Oxygen. The dressing is fat free mayonaise and bbq sauce. I will use a low carb bbq sauce.

Good Morning Maniacs!!!

Today I will try out the cardio coach cd #6 and then do P90X legs on Saturday. DH is leaving with his dad to visit sister in PA for the last time..at least for his dad. Gonna be sad.

Dallys - did you repeat the Jillian weeks (like the first page - you are supposed to do 2 weeks in a row) or did you just move thru them cuz you weren't planning on doing a 12 week rotation??

Dallys- thanks. I know I've been hitting you with a lot of questions lately. I appreciate the responses. I repeated day 1 today cuz I'm sick, but I'll start the next section after my Functional Fitness week this week. Does the Feed the Muscle Book have a lot on exercise and diet both? Good??

Hi again, I finished my walk and almost have my pedometer perfect with milage. One more adjustment and I think I'll have it. I want it accurate for vacation, because I'll be doing tons of walking.

Lora- I haven't finished the book, so not sure on the exercises. The part I've read so far has been very good. Do a search on the Open Forum and maybe you can find info about the exercising part. lot's of info. here in Cathe land.

Good morning!

I forgot to post last night that DH and I went for a ride - a FAST one! Fastest I've ever gone. He keeps making me faster. I love that. He clocked us for 45 minutes of our hour ride and our average was 19.7. I've never gone that fast in my life! I couldn't believe it. I still don't have my new bike computer. It's on order.

This morning I decided not to ride with the girls (two fast ones were riding) because my legs needed to rest for tomorrow's group ride after last night. I just did an easy spin on my bike in the basement on the trainer for 50 minutes. Worked up a good sweat but didn't tax my legs much at all. Down another pound with all this cycling. I had to change my neurology appt. to an afternoon one due to a work conflict mid-August so that's good b/c I always weigh more in the afternoon. }(

Diane Sue - CONGRATULATIONS!!! How exciting! Let us know how you like that salad.

Char - Sorry about your FIL. How sad that visit will be.

Gotta run - this rock climbing class is high maintenance this week. A mom sent her little 5 year old girl in a skirt today - to a rock climbing class full of boys - with a male instructor and a male helper - after we specifically sent something home saying NO SKIRTS. I'm sorry but wouldn't that be common sense? Boys standing at the bottom of the rock wall? HELLO???

Update on the girl in the skirt for rock climbing. I was just down there and it's a skort. For some reason it still has the instructor really upset. It's all frilly and he thinks she looks adorable but not for a rock climbing class. She is adorable. :) She'll climb a little and then she'll turn around and look at him and smile for approval. SO CUTE! He keeps telling her "good job - now keep going" because when she does that her little feet come off of the wall. She's so little. I honestly don't see the problem with her outfit. But I'm a reasonable 44 (almost 45) year old woman and he's just a 24 year old pup. You know how little things bother you less as you age? :p

Hey Maniacs! Lunch time for me. Sweet Potato with Cottage cheese.:9

Suz- That's great you upped your speed! So funny how mtb is so different from road biking. My average on my last ride was 6mph LOL!
I cannot believe what that lady was thinking (guess she wasn't) in sending her little girl in a skirt! Guess all the little boys have a new crush! You are right...HELLO?
I'm watching my the Tour de France for the second time this morning.:p

Crazy Women,

I just finished Cardio Coach 6 w/Candace. Ya'll do this and live to tell??? lol. So last time on elliptical I just followed the elliptical program..felt a bit too easy at times. Today? Almost puked. My heart rate is 145 at 80% so I took it to 172 briefly. My son was working out with me and asked if I was going to die. lol. I bet this workout will REALLY improve those climbs on hills. Suz, it is coming crystal clear now how you got your glutes and legs to look the way they do. Ya'll are crazy. I am gonna get in the shower now. Tomorrow is weights...that is so much easier then this. lol

Dallys - Yeah, something about those MONSTER climbs while mountain biking will kill your averages! :p

I was going to go home early today and ride with DH (his new bike came in today) but he just got called out on a SWAT call. Darn! He's in charge of the SWAT team so I think he'll just have to be in the vicinity and not actually breaking down the door. Kind of glad those days are over. I'm not sure he is though. Anyway, who knows when he'll be home. Could be 2 hours, could be 10. :( As long as they're all safe...

Charlotte - Aha, so NOW you know! Don't you just love the burn though? I swear those workouts just kick my butt!

Okay, better go make good use of my extra time at work. :) I didn't bring any lunch though so it's more cottage cheese and yogurt - and a lactaid pill!

Toasty - you're funny. I remember when I first got CC and I made a comment on here that I was gonna get a shirt that said I survived it!! They will push you, no doubt. Never thought I could be motivated by an audio session until I met Coach Sean!!

Diane Sue - Congrats on the new addition.

Deb - did you watch The Night Shift yet?? Don't forget to keep me updated on how it is.

Suz - yogurt and cottage cheese....yikes. You best bring more food with you next time.

I just sat thru pure torture (for me) at Mom's while my DH tried to coerce me into eating a Dilly Bar and then he ate chocolate in front of me and Mom ate Caramel Creams in front of me. I usually try to leave right after dinner cuz I know how bad I crave that stuff....but they were watching Dr. Phil and he didn't want to leave. I didn't give in, but it was really tough.

Lora - No, I haven't watched it yet. Sometime this weekend I will. I swear the lead singer of POM sounds familiar to me. Like from Pearl Jam or something like that. Weird.

Char - Too funny about CC#6. Like Dallys said, "this is not your grandma's workout"! LMAO! So true. You will LOVE these workouts. The conditioning you will get from them is priceless.

Diane Sue - Congrats Grandma!! :)
